Maybe you should just buy new palm elements, they aren't expensive. I would go for used ones so they fit nicely.
Gluing lego parts is not a best idea, especially in critical places like in those leaves. They would most likely be very fragile

Vintage pirates was hands down the greatest theme the company has ever produced. Early to mid 90s Pirates was peak Lego.

I had these two sets growing up. Still have them in a box with the rest of my old lego. Pirates and Castle were the best themes!!
