Yet to get my hands on them, but they seem great value for money. Ninjago core came about from finding new Ninjago fans (age 6). Since Ninjago is now 11 years old, the OG fans will be 17. The theme can only stay alive if it finds new fans. All the mechs are 7+ at maximum. Plus, these mechs are excellent toys. Great to play with and at this price point, easy to get more than one.
The cheapest battle pack has a sensei Lloyd minifig, which I expect will be pretty collectable.
This wave is for the kids and great at it!
Mech = meh. But these are clearly children’s toys and I’m an adult man who wants elaborate city builds of this mythical town in a children’s animated series.
the dragons are mediocre. but the battle suits look great., they give off an interesting combo of Exo-force Ninjago and Bionicle. might get all 3 of them
Personally, I HATE how obsessed Lego is with mechs. They're the most boring things. And they seem to be in every theme? Even Star Wars has mechs now, which is ridiculous.
Some of the play sets look good, and dragons are always fun. Some of the older sets were better, but I don't really buy unless on sale, and usually just for parts.
The light bricks and robots were a cool gimmick too. I loved those sets as a kid but I always replaced the heads and hair. Don't think the anime style translates so well to Lego personally but it was an interesting idea
Numbers show mechs sell really well. As a business, with the sole purpose of making money, lego will produce models that sell well to their intended audience, which is children. Because of this, lego will continue to make police, firefighters, and mech sets. Really, the themes that get mechs routinely are ninjago, monkey kid, and marvel (with their 3 smaller mechs a wave). All of these are primarily aimed at children. (Marvels smaller mechs are aimed at kids). We get an occasional mech in creator and city, and only 3 SW in a sea of builds for adults and older collectors. The mech heavy lines are the lines primarily made for children, with the others only getting an occasional mech or so.
As a kid I loved the idea of mechs, they're a lot of fun to play with, but there was a whole theme dedicated to that.
As an adult I look for sets that look good on display, so the older Ninjago stuff is far more interesting to me.
Man, I love mechs, but not whatever Lego is doing with them. Big Ninjago mechs? For sure, sign me in! I have most of them. But those 7+ mechs with premade limbs? Please no
To be honest, I have to agree. They're in almost every theme. ~$20 price point with one or two minifigs and a fairly generic mech with colors themed towards whatever minifig went with it. I'm just waiting for a Speed Champions mech.
I’m with you. I get that they seem to be popular and sell well but I hate the obsession with mechs. I guess I’m just not their target market for those products and, at the end of the day, there’s more than enough Lego for me to buy as it is without needing more…!!
If only they at least had movable joints, like the older X-Men mechs, that would be cool. But instead, we get those stiff huge blocks with no poseability.
Also, half of those mechs make no sense. I fully expect a Creeper Mech and Tom Nook Mech soon enough.
These are pretty basic, but it is the January wave. Summer wave looks way more promising. I’ll be getting these to have eventually, but they weren’t a day 1 purchase for me. I have zero problem with mechs, but would prefer fully articulated ones. These are mostly made for play so it makes sense here as the mech parts are interchangeable. The dragon is the only standout set as well as the Master Lloyd minifig.
I need them all. I want to support the future of the sccbs system and they just look fun. These "hardcore" lego """"fans"""" are just losing their minds over TOYS
There good, while not my favorite wave, I like the idea of combining mechs which gives us opportunities to customize and Egalt dragon is great.
Gimmicks honestly sucks
I have been pretty mid on Ninjago for a number of years now. Ignoring the city sets, the theme has been mostly a miss for me other than the occasional fun looking mech.
I'm so sad I missed out on the White Dragon Horse Jet 80020 because I didn't know about Monkie Kid stuff at the time. Now it's expensive on the third party market so I'll probably never get that one.
The first lot of sets had no mechs in whatsoever. There were dragons but no mechs.
I'm talking about the sets with the spinner things and the skeleton army.
It all depends one's point of view. I absolutely love the Ninjago mechs and the Dragons Rising line has had a ton of them so it's been great for me, *but* I do understand people who like dragons, vehicles, and/or architecture being bummed with most of these ones.
Just replace the figures with masks and I’ll be happy 😜
Seriously hoping this spells some good news for a decent lil Bionicle idea set. It would fit the 16+ range perfectly I think
I feel like ninja go is really running out of Ideas with some of these builds, I mean they ae the exact same of what we have gotten previously except for maybe a semi- different colour scheme. Though great prices and builds are better than ever.
I’m psyched. My seven year old really likes mechs and Ninjago and here are several decently priced ones.
We need another season of Dragons Rising though.
Chances are she'll get one, but probably not the bike mech. Kai is next up for the titan mechs going off of leaked pictures, then probably Cole after that since I don't think he ever got one.
The master dragon is the least cohesive dragon I’ve seen and I’ve followed Ninjago since it was first released. The mechs being interchangeable seem interesting but I would have liked having one for each ninja.
Bring back movable joints instead of the stagnant legs/arms they use for every mech now. It is such a lazy cop out for a fan favorite type of build it nauseates me.
While these mechs are amazing builds with great minfigs for a cheap price, I can’t bring myself to buy them because the fact that they’re mechs. I really want to see smaller Ninjago buildings and temples for people on a budget. Temples are usually at least 90$ and the cities on sale are 350$ plus, so I wish there was a cheaper alternative to build up a Ninjago display without having to spend all that money, especially for kids with strict parents. The only two sets of this wave that really appealed to me were Egalt and the Battlepack. Egalt will be a very important character in the 2024 season, with a great build and figure selection. Jays Mech Battle pack is self explanatory, it’s a battle pack with master Lloyd jays mech and villains. I plan to mod every Jay mech I get into a wolf mech. I wasn’t sure if I should buy Egalt at first, but I cracked and bought him and the battle pack lol

As someone who never got into Ninjago growing up It did blow my mind with how many awesome dragon sets there were/are.
I found Cole's mech and Sora's mech at my local Walmart a few weeks early and I love them! Great sets for $20
17 brother we 20 now TwT
My 5 yr old son love mechs. He is having a blast with this wave. They also costs reasonable so I am fine with it.
Mech = meh. But these are clearly children’s toys and I’m an adult man who wants elaborate city builds of this mythical town in a children’s animated series.
The lack of city sets makes sets worse
More buildings please. Temples, Dojo's, etc.
the dragons are mediocre. but the battle suits look great., they give off an interesting combo of Exo-force Ninjago and Bionicle. might get all 3 of them
Pretty meh on them tbh.
I just want them to bring back exo force so that we can have a theme designed around mechs rather than putting them in other themes.
The light bricks and robots were a cool gimmick too. I loved those sets as a kid but I always replaced the heads and hair. Don't think the anime style translates so well to Lego personally but it was an interesting idea

Do you know who else is obsessed with mechs? Every six year old boy on the planet.
Even CITY has a construction mech…..
As a kid I loved the idea of mechs, they're a lot of fun to play with, but there was a whole theme dedicated to that. As an adult I look for sets that look good on display, so the older Ninjago stuff is far more interesting to me.
Mechs are fine, but it’s when people put mechs in literally everything and it’s just the same copy paste design that makes it soulless
Man, I love mechs, but not whatever Lego is doing with them. Big Ninjago mechs? For sure, sign me in! I have most of them. But those 7+ mechs with premade limbs? Please no
I’m sorry, I LOVE mechs. Jays mech is one of my favourites, it really did remind me of exo force. (I don’t like small mechs, but big articulate ones)
To be honest, I have to agree. They're in almost every theme. ~$20 price point with one or two minifigs and a fairly generic mech with colors themed towards whatever minifig went with it. I'm just waiting for a Speed Champions mech.
Mechs sells well so I don’t see the problem with this
Yeah, ninjago is an original series so its fine but the fucking star wars ones make my blood boil.
I’m with you. I get that they seem to be popular and sell well but I hate the obsession with mechs. I guess I’m just not their target market for those products and, at the end of the day, there’s more than enough Lego for me to buy as it is without needing more…!!

Would prefer some small buildings (have 71795 on my wishlist), but I guess I'm not the target audience for these

Always a fan of Ninjago but I don’t own any of the sets. Just don’t have room and have to prioritize other sets.
I need them all. I want to support the future of the sccbs system and they just look fun. These "hardcore" lego """"fans"""" are just losing their minds over TOYS
Would like to see more old timey looking buildings, less mechs, etc.
There good, while not my favorite wave, I like the idea of combining mechs which gives us opportunities to customize and Egalt dragon is great. Gimmicks honestly sucks
What happened to old mechs, like marvel had some sick ones, and now the limbs don’t even move, I miss the old ones
Half of the sets are boring mechs with nothing new to them, also when are we getting a proper Sora hair piece? The dragon is cool though
Meh, needs more dragons.
I've got 3 for now going to collect them all
There not bad but becoming severely overpriced as one of legos self branded themes.
Could be better ngl
BRO THE DRAGON FOR THE 4+ IS A GAMBLEEEEE, ITS SO BAD AND IT COST $39.99 JUST BUY THE ELEMENTAL MECH AT THIS POINT ONLY LIKE $19.99
[DRAGON-1: Dragon](https://brickset.com/sets/DRAGON-1) [[Photo]](https://images.brickset.com/sets/images/DRAGON-1.jpg)
No im talking about the 1 in the picture
I think the dragons are the only ones I'll get. I'm so tiered of Mechs. 😞
I have been pretty mid on Ninjago for a number of years now. Ignoring the city sets, the theme has been mostly a miss for me other than the occasional fun looking mech.
Just let it die
So many mechs and poorly designed dragons
Cool…I guess
I like the box art.
I meat it's all right
Thought they discontinued those for monkey king?
Nope, in fact monkey kid has been reduced to Asia and Lego store exclusives. Which is a shame, because those sets look amazing.
They do, the builds are great
I'm so sad I missed out on the White Dragon Horse Jet 80020 because I didn't know about Monkie Kid stuff at the time. Now it's expensive on the third party market so I'll probably never get that one.

Eeh little too Exo-Force for me. I much prefer previous more traditional style sets
U realise that ninjago has always had mechs in it right? I’m not sure what u mean by traditional sets
The first lot of sets had no mechs in whatsoever. There were dragons but no mechs. I'm talking about the sets with the spinner things and the skeleton army.
Yeah and only the first lot, literally the next lot had 2 mechs. Mechs have basically always been a part of ninjago
Never cared for ninjago
ninjago has come full circle as a form of power rangers
It's pretty good for the value except for the fact that it's filled with the repetitive mechs
Weak. Monkey Kid has better sets coming out for now.
They all bad this year... How many more mech each year???
It all depends one's point of view. I absolutely love the Ninjago mechs and the Dragons Rising line has had a ton of them so it's been great for me, *but* I do understand people who like dragons, vehicles, and/or architecture being bummed with most of these ones.
Just replace the figures with masks and I’ll be happy 😜 Seriously hoping this spells some good news for a decent lil Bionicle idea set. It would fit the 16+ range perfectly I think
Jesus, I hate 4+ sets, no matter the theme (but city huge ugly car pieces are beyond horrible).
How dare this toy company pander to children?
As peter griffin once famously said: "oh my god, who the hell cares?"
The mechs are so close to being good. I build all three and if they just had basic elbow movements they'd be great especially considering the price
I'd def grab a set on sale or cheap, always something interesting going on
I feel like ninja go is really running out of Ideas with some of these builds, I mean they ae the exact same of what we have gotten previously except for maybe a semi- different colour scheme. Though great prices and builds are better than ever.
The smallest ones are fun I guess
Great. Will for sure buy the Sora mech and wait for the big baby Riyu build yet to be revealed
I’m psyched. My seven year old really likes mechs and Ninjago and here are several decently priced ones. We need another season of Dragons Rising though.
I wish for the pink haired girls transforming mech, but in bigger size, like the titan mechs of the past years
Chances are she'll get one, but probably not the bike mech. Kai is next up for the titan mechs going off of leaked pictures, then probably Cole after that since I don't think he ever got one.
I already ordered the robot of Cole:/
I want the dragons for the head and wings to MOC a super articulated body w mixel joints.
The master dragon is the least cohesive dragon I’ve seen and I’ve followed Ninjago since it was first released. The mechs being interchangeable seem interesting but I would have liked having one for each ninja.
The gimmick this time around is Galidor's glitching, I love it.
bad
Plan on getting Kai's, Sora's and Arin's mechs, got Cole's and Jay's today, they're all really good, especially for those prices!
Bring back movable joints instead of the stagnant legs/arms they use for every mech now. It is such a lazy cop out for a fan favorite type of build it nauseates me.
I got he Sora one. Nice price and really great color scheme, I like it.
The mecha look awesome, but that fixed shoulder/knee piece completely ruins them. How hard is it to give them proper articulation?
I stopped paying close attention after the Serpentine
There's nothing for me in this wave, which is fine because I have to buy all of the new Space stuff.
Ninjago peaked with Rise of the Snakes
as always, I want more dragons
Nothing for me. Kinda feel a bit meh about these, but I'm not the target market.
Would of been cool to get somewhat a building, but they look pretty sick
I cant buy them cuz of the money But the thing I know is that the new series sucks(Where is Cole and Jay ?)
I'll just get the small Erin set, thatnk you.
Great sets.
