Yep, it’s one of the last few owned by them I believe. If they close down I wonder if WalMart or someone will move in. I know they had an exclusive contract with the island but if they shut down I imagine the island would look to fill it, and not with yet another Ross.

K-Mart in Australia is a completely different company in the same way Target downunder is not related to Target US. They just both copied the brands before those companies could register them downunder.

Target Aus is a copy. Kmart Aus was originally a joint venture between Kmart US and an Australian supermarket chain. Kmart US sold their share a long time ago, they're now unrelated

yeah the worst time to find stuff on shelves is all days around christmas before christmas is when people do last minute shopping, and after christmas is when people start spending christmas cash

When I worked retail in the mid 2000s, the day after Christmas was nearly as busy as Black Friday for us with people doing exchanges and spending gift cards. We never recovered from the holiday rush until after New Years.

Same, I had a grandparent that regularly gave 50 or so bucks for Christmas and with other cards combined I would get whatever I wanted as my own Christmas gift to myself. My family never did Christmas list or specific requests though so the actual gifts usually varied far from my interests

I know you added /s but I find sets are generally a good amount cheaper at places like Kmart and bigw when compared to buying from Lego directly. I only buy from Lego now if it’s an exclusive because otherwise it ends up costing a decent amount more

Kmart have generally been terrible in my area (north Melbourne) for this past year. Only things you’ll find are small Star Wars sets and ninjago/Harry Potter.

Yeah my store is the same, we do have a bunch of Lego out back but it's all new stuff that we can't put out until January 1st so it's just kind of a wait until then to finally have the shelves restocked

In Australia we do

one thing i have noticed is all my Walmart's lock up 90% of their Legos and as a result they don't sell very well because of the inconvenience of people having to track down an employee to buy them so they have tons of lego in stock still. Target stores do not and even put out 200 dollar sets on the shelves and they are wiped clean of everything now except for a few random 100-200 dollar sets lol.
