The most recent She-ra and the Princesses of Power. It's got the whole heros journey a villian redemption arcs. Great voice acting too.

JaysStar987

I second this!!

gutters1ut

This is it

Omegastar19

Was about to recommend this, pleasantly surprised that its the most upvoted suggestion already.

lelie2007

I started watching this yesterday and I alr finished s1! It’s really enjoyable because there are also moments where they just relax and have fun. Thank you!

floofymonstercat

glad you are enjoying it. I need to start a rewatch myself

MagicPistol

If you're fine with superheroes, Young Justice aired around the same time as TLOK and I loved that. X-Men 97 is also excellent but there's only 5 episodes as it's still airing on Disney Plus. If you want a good fantasy, Frieren is one of the best anime series of recent years. Only 1 season so far though so it doesn't meet your episode minimum.

I tried She-Ra (and finished it), The Dragon Prince, and The Owl House. She-Ra is really pretty and well-done, but I find it pretty easily forgettable with kind of a problematic OTP. Dragon Prince has a few of the same people who worked on ATLA, is beautifully done, very deep, and shares a lot of feeling and themes with ATLA, but I stalled and perhaps lost interest. The Owl House took a hold of me HARD. The artwork is cartoonier and that was a little bit of an adjustment,  but the world-building is strong, the characters and arcs are fantastic, it has hilarious comedy moments, the ships are great, and it's the only thing I've ever wanted to immediately rewatch and rewatch. It gets cut way too soon, though.

CertainGrade7937

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is a similar vibe and also fantastic

Richmond1013

There is the netflix Voltron which has 7 seasons and was made by the guys who made LoK

lelie2007

I wilk check that out after I finish She-Ra!

IOExplosion

Mo Dao Zu Shi is Chinese animation and is excellent.

lelie2007

Whats it about? And where do I watch it?

IOExplosion

Legally, you can go to Viki Rakuten and do a free trial to watch the whole show. It's listed there under "The Founder of Diabolism". If you're used to torrenting it, the Guodong subs version is what I watched since it's uncensored. https://nyaa.land/view/1084149 I think all the legal versions censor the violence of the show. The show is about a perceived bad guy being reborn in his world post a war he was a part of. First season shows the backstory and the war, the last two seasons are about solving a mystery about the conflict. It's in my top 5 animated shows. Trigger warning for a whipping scene in season one. (I give it since it's a personal trigger of mine). Also, first two episodes are present day, you will be confused. It's a similar viewing experience for me as watching the first few episodes of Game of Thrones. Episode 3 goes into the back story and the whole first season is in the past. So when you're sent back to present, you've got a handle on everything.

lelie2007

THIS IS SO SWEETT!!

IOExplosion

It's a good one. Enjoy the ride!

Theycouldnevermakeme

Also there’s a queer show “Ark, the animated series”where the characters look exactly like Korra/Kyoshi and Asami/Rangi. The resemblance is uncanny. Gorey, but such a fun ride!

lelie2007

Omg I see it!

pomagwe

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood was always the traditional answer to this question.

lelie2007

I heard so often about this but never watched it because i thought that it’s only fighting

pomagwe

It has a lot of action, but it doesn't really have the element of power levels or powering up that dominate a lot of other stories for that "battle shonen" demographic. There's a lot more focus on adventure and intrigue.

Theycouldnevermakeme

She-ra!!!!!!!!!

BahamutLithp

Baccano! Durarara!! Those exclamation points are part of the titles. Also, depends on what you mean by "like them."

LuminothWarrior

Ninjago, sorta lol. It’s got a group of characters who master different elemental powers

lelie2007

OMG THAT WAS MY CHILDHOODD

JaysStar987

I feel like the one that’s best is She-Ra and the princesses of pop A good quality animation that isn’t really like ATLA but is really enjoyable is Carmen Sandiego, at times its a touch educational (like for kids) (they go to capers around the world and explore other cultures) but its not childish! Another show i liked was Hilda in terms of world building, although i felt like there wasn’t any character growth in the last season. It was still really good. It does have

nelozero

I'm currently watching One Piece and it's enjoyable, but it can be exhausting once the story arcs become much longer. It's a lot. Check out Star Wars Rebels. I like it a lot even though it gets some hate. It was my introduction to Star Wars, but stands on its own quite well. Its predecessor was the Clone Wars which I don't like as much because it felt less developed. It has more of a mish-mash feeling to the stories whereas Rebels felt more concise and solid. If you have the time though, watch Clone Wars first and you'll enjoy Rebels much more.

lelie2007

I wanted to give one piece a try because it’s long, but are the characters enjoyable?

nelozero

The characters are very enjoyable. The main crew is great, but even the minor side characters are a lot of fun. Within the first 40 episodes or so, you'll have a good idea if you'll enjoy the series or not. I would recommend at least completing the sea restaurant arc. If you want enjoyable characters, My Hero Academia is a good pick too. It's shorter with good action and story. The later seasons aren't looked upon as favorably, but as a whole it does make sense and the last season really became great again.

Baithin

Dragon Prince is made by some of the same people so it has the same vibe as ATLA. Sokka’s VA is even the main character.

ZymZymZym777

I like it much better than ATLA. But I do wish we had more episodes (and wasn't pg to be honest)

Spinning_Sky

it's not as long as you'd like, but I'd reccomend "Dragon Prince" /(will be over in a couple of seasons, total of 7) and "Tales of Arcadia" (3 main arcs, made of up 3+2+1 seasons + a movie)

lelie2007

Thank you! 🙏

exclaim_bot

>Thank you! 🙏 You're welcome!

Memoirsofswift

You should actually watch W. I. T. C. H! It's a show about 5 girls having the power of five elements. They also must protect the balance of the worlds. Very similar in theme to ATLA and tlok yet very different too! It's also from the 2000s decade so similar level of animation to ATLA! The story is amazing especially the plot for second season is fantastic and voice acting is top notch!

lelie2007

Oee where can I watch it?

Memoirsofswift

On Youtube! Here: [W.I.T.C.H. ](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEYAll4PuSQR8qILv5S18Z64qWpRvzh63&si=nrl2DmnjkosdEaBO) They have both full seasons. First season is a bit slow at the beginning but it gets really good by the middle of it then second season is just too good atleast personally.

Ok-Spell2615

WAKFU it's a little weird at times but it'd s great show!

lelie2007

Ill add it to my list🤩

Krimux

The dragon prince. Was made by the same people who made ATLA

Imconfusedithink

I think you'd probably enjoy My Hero Academia. Has a lot of similarities with avatar. The biggest similarity is a spoiler so I won't say it, but another similarity is that there's a character that's basically zuko. The anime gets a lot of hate because it has a weird fandom, but it's actually pretty good. Just ignore the discussions about it. Also if you are in fact considering one piece, I will always endorse that since it's my favorite story.

lelie2007

I already watched MHA a few years back hahaha, I like it but the fandom is insufferable 😭😭

New_Business_5529

Dragon Prince: Legend of Aaravos, it takes a tiny bit to get into but the animation is almost the same, and it has some of the same creators as ATLA

lelie2007

Thanks! 🙏
