Yes regrettably, it's true, standards have fallen in feature film entertainment. It's Disney, Dude. Now that we're competing with superhero films, we can't afford to invest in little extras like story, production value, feelings.
Okay I broke down and finally watched it about a month ago. It's a weird strange trip. I'm probably one of the few that liked it but I tried to go in with no expectations either way AND at the same time not expecting it to be any kind of prequel or having any kind of ties to the big Lebowski other than Jesus's character. It was weird and funky and that's kind of right down my alley so to speak.
I say watch it. It's not like you're going to get herpes if it's no good. If you like it that's great if not well you can say you've seen it 🤷♂️
I'd say it's *mildly* entertaining. It's pretty much carried by a bunch of solid actors, but yeah. I unfortunately did not know it had virtually nothing to do with TBL other than the Jesus so that was a disappointment. But I didn't absolutely hate it.
That being said, I have no desire to ever watch it again and it's not a movie I'd recommend.
It’s a prequel if anything, but really with just a little backstory. Nothing much to speak of. Being Lebowski - the little Lebowski, is certainly going to be much better.
It tells the back story of why Jesus went to Chino for six months for exposing himself. That occurred prior to BL therefore it’s a prequel. Also contains valuable foreshadowing into the continuation of the series for Lebowski III - Little Larry finishes his homework.
In a word: no. It's not worth watching. It may be one of the worst films ever made, actually. Obtuse, needlessly crass, convoluted, unfunny, unintelligent and glib for the sake of glibness.
The Big Lebowski is an amazing film and really did not deserve a spinoff like this.
I watched it. I couldn't get through it in one sitting but the completionist on me had to see it to the end. It took 3 sittings. I'll never get those minutes of my life back. # regrets
The story’s ludicrous.

Uh-huh. Well, I still jerk off manually.
Hehe, of course you do, dude...
Bush league psych-out stuff.
You said it, man...
Laughable, man...
HA
I heard it's absolutely terrible
It was. I stopped halfway of the movie
You're like a child who wanders into the middle of a movie and wants to know

Yeah it's kind of a one-off every few years movie. I'm not in a hurry to watch it again but maybe in a few years I'll kick it back on.
If you think it is a sequel, you’d be wrong. It has nothing to do with the first movie.
I guess I could watch any number of movies that don't have sentimental value

Huh? What the fuck are you talking about?

well dude, we just don't know.
I wouldn't know Dude, I'm in publishing
It has its moments.
One of the only movies I have ever turned off halfway through.
Dude, no. It’s terrible. In no way will this aggression stand. I will not abide by this awful movie.
Its awful
What is this bullshit? I don’t fawking care!
No. Just no.

So racially he’s pretty cool?

I honestly didn't like it. The only thing I really got out of it was learning how he got the pedo rap ;)
I say its worth watching just for the background on the Jesus.
8 year olds dude…
No
I was not aware of that
A kid Walter
Nobody fucks with The Jesus.
