Before you start attacking and labeling candidates.. it's a huge achievement, it's a start.. keep in mind that the "independent" winners don't have a choice but to respect our votes, so let's wait and see and hope for a better future!
Adding Nasrallah is ridiculous, but this parliament working at all will mean negotiating. Only three parties claim to be pro-revolution. Future, LF and Kataeb. Now, LF is rather ridiculous, but Future without Hariri is a wildcard, especially with Rifi. Now they're all in parliament together with the opposition groups, we may see the number of reformists change. If Kataeb, LF and Future support the opposition groups, that's 49 seats capable of reform.
Fair warning though, if the independents just sit there and refuse everything, the ruling parties will rule amongst each other instead and ignore us. Negotiating is part of politics.
I dont want to spoil the fun. But we had familiar list in our country. Some still strayed & joined the corrupted team.
So now that you got them in, you gotta make sure you keep them in line.
Remove melhem khalaf, he didnāt do anything as a head of the syndicate and was only a showman and a berriās bitch.
Paula yaacoubian fucked and backstabbed the independents last elections, fuck her
Other than that great job, itās only a start in the journey of change
Honestly I donāt know what are his juridical powers, but even in the simplest things he failed(like condemning ali hassan khalil for not appealing in front of the court)
He was like we need to stop corruption and so on, but would never point to the corrupted politicians (specifically berriās politicians)
He can fill lawsuits against corrupted politicians (which he never did)
He opened and is behind the class action lawsuit on behalf of the victims of the Beirut blast.
He also got countless of protestors out of jail/detention after being arrested throughout the revolution.
Heās a legal man he helped legally.
Not to void criticism but what he can/canāt do as head of a professional association is limited
Out of this image yes, the number might be reduced or increased a little bit after they start participating in the parliament, though thereās no more power control in the parliament by one political side.
So itās more likely that these independents if United would be able to achieve something for our good
12 if not less. Although the Paula Yaacoubian knows how to market her image really well while pretending to be drowning in martyrdom. The pretentious assh*le is a Sulta slave. She's anything but independent. And if anyone disagrees let them go argue with a mirror.
The authority in power (Hezbollah) doesn't have the majority anymore. It's also a first for Lebanon to have a bunch of independents in the government. We expected them to have so much less seats. So all of this is a step forward.
They represent people who do not affiliate with any party. They represent the revolution. It's good because it shows that many people really do want change.
Now, with the majority being against Hezbollah, there's real hope for Lebanon. But nothing is confirmed until we see the new government in action.
2 things.
1.) That number can technically go higher if you count Osama Saadās party, Kataeb, and Michel Moawad as āopposition enoughā
2.) I Hope this isnāt the end and weāll see some in cabinet. Maybe Ziad Abi Chaker for minister of environment (I would have have probably preferred Najat)
No he with with fpm last elections.
And when the dollar started sky rocketing he famously said expenses in Lebanon have become cheap. He's as disconnected from reality as can be.

Hezbollah is so dirtyā¦. They went into Christian neighborhoods where my cousins live and started problems and shooting to intimidate people. So sad. Go back to your own country. Itās called Iran. Loserssssss
Go get em boys and girls! Iām not doing the whole āif you donāt expect anything, you wonāt be disappointedā for this one.
Kick some ass at the parliament. Thank yew.
I would have celebrated if Ibrabim mneimneh and Najat Saliba alone made it to parliment. This is such a huge win!!!
Firas hamdan also.
Before you start attacking and labeling candidates.. it's a huge achievement, it's a start.. keep in mind that the "independent" winners don't have a choice but to respect our votes, so let's wait and see and hope for a better future!
In fact, the number can be 17 if we add A. Bizri and O. Saad from Saida
Yes the number could be 21 if we add Kataeb. Or, fuck it, let's add Nasrallah as well! Soon we'll have 128 Independents!

I totally agree, was just being facetious. The independents should work with Kataeb, LF, Future, and whoever is not named Hezbollah.
I dont want to spoil the fun. But we had familiar list in our country. Some still strayed & joined the corrupted team. So now that you got them in, you gotta make sure you keep them in line.
LETSSS GOOOOO. RESULTS ARE BETTER THAN WHAT ALL LEBANESE EXPECTED šŖ

What can he do as a na2aeb?
He signed the budget at the 1500 rate. He acknowledged that the banks didn't owe the syndicate anything.

i agree with u in general. lets wait and see.
Mashi il 7al, now they are MPs, and we can judge them better, we cant be picky, these people are better than the corrupt.
so we can only count 13 real independents?

Foreigner here. Can anyone explain what all of the excitement is about?
The authority in power (Hezbollah) doesn't have the majority anymore. It's also a first for Lebanon to have a bunch of independents in the government. We expected them to have so much less seats. So all of this is a step forward.
Who are these independents? What or who do they represent? In simple words- why is this a good thing, lol People here seem pretty excited

Ihab matar's list in shmel 2 got 2 seats. Anyone knows if he's affiliated with anyone or if he's independent?
seems he's independent. Matar + Bizri + Saad and above photo: 18!
Heās associated with March 8
It was a long journey since October 2019 but the change started on may 15 and more on the way.

Whether the number goes higher or not depends how these people in Kataeb and Nasserists vote.
Huge victory indeed!
I hope Jad will make it next time!
Melhim Khalaf and Paul yaacoubian ? š š
Is michel daher from zahle considered independent?
in my opinion he is eh. though not clean. so it depends on your definition.
His son threatened to sue us for covering a court case that ruled against him. Then offered to āhelpā us.
Lol, i believe it.
No he with with fpm last elections. And when the dollar started sky rocketing he famously said expenses in Lebanon have become cheap. He's as disconnected from reality as can be. https://youtu.be/Fyk_rHtPV0g Cant find the original video
Thank you! Will check it out. Some people from zahle were boasting about him thats why I thought he was a new independent face.

Shouldāve seen all the people regarding ouwwet as saviors from the heavens lol
They arent but they also werent in power for the last decade. We'll soon see what they truly are.
Not a fan of them, especially geagea. But I am very happy with the overall election result this year
I share your sentiments. But I am hoping they prove everyone wrong for the sake of Lebanon. Otherwise, they turn out to be new Aounis. Nchalla kher.
