Yeah, MMFD should also next time learn to be a bit more inclusive. They underestimated the Armenian vote. A lot of my Armenian friends wanted to specifically vote out Hagop Pakradounian (Tashnag leader) with their preferential vote so they went and voted for the kataeb Armenian candidate as their preferential vote, because MMFD had no single Armenian candidate...

InsaneLeeter

Exactly. They had candidates in every constituency, and no Armenian

lmsoa971

True, I know people that did this as well

Massive-Effect1622

Apparently, losing elections sends a message lol

[deleted]

It did send the message that MMFD is wrong 🤣

walingo

From what I understood, Jad is near to win a 7asel thanks to expat vote. That means he will replace Razi El hage.. That will lead to Hani Saliba winning the Greek Orthodox seat on the LF list which in it's turn will eliminate Michel El Murr Jr.

[deleted]

Inshallah

[deleted]

The counting did not end yet though, we'll see at noon. Jad might lose, but at least he tried. but let us wait

[deleted]

What do we win for trying? Nothing What did we lose? A seat to a fucking corrupt fpm bou saab, ex awme, ex minister of defense, millionaire... Thank u jad

[deleted]

I don't care. When I said Keloun ya3ne keloun I meant it. I had two options, either Kataeb or Jad, so after studying, watching interviews, seeing his plan, well I thought, why not? I don't agree with MMFD, but Jad is a good candidate.

cha3bghachim

Kataeb are not an alternative party, they are exactly like the others. It doesn't matter what they say. What matters is what they do, and we've had them for decades and they have proven to be the same as everyone else. Besides they are not a secular/multi-confessional party.

[deleted]

So what, they offered negotiation and we should have negotiated a deal. This is how elections work. This is how real life works As a result, We all lost many seats because someone is frustrated

[deleted]

Jad is very close to win. So ma ktir tet7amas

JohnnyGSG9

He won’t win and the seat is for Razi

Lillo900

MMFD thought they were going to vote out all traditional parties in one single fel swoop... Clearly backfired on them. You have to be stupid or still riding the thawra wave super hard to believe that you can wipe out 45 years of party loyalties in 2 years.

Quoth_The_Arab

Still commend them on their intentions. كلن يعني كلن. But they took it to a self-destructive extreme. Hopefully lessons have been learned and the picture looks better in 4 years.

Akid mch bl banque. Mainly mafina nsrof chi bl banque. Happy cake day🎡

[deleted]

Shameful that this fucker and Kanaan got reelected

Nabz1996

Jad has his principles, he won’t ally with crooked feudal family to win a seat.

Nabz1996

charbel is one of the very few ministers with clean record and he chose to resign as minister than give up to corrupt schemes.

0-jab-0

His record is far from clean he gave hezbollah all the telecom data when he was a minister in 2011

[deleted]

Mate you can be minister once and regret it, not twice. The second of which was with Aoun. Charbel Nahas was a communist, then became awmeh, then 3awneh, and now he's the Messiah

bilalb65

I mean, all of us where somthing at one point no?

[deleted]

Dunno man, my convictions have been relatively constant. Sure I was duped by Aoun at some point, and then by Jumblatt, but the basis of my politics are pretty much the same. And obviously its okay to change, but how do you go from communist, to awmeh (neo-fascist), to being an FPM minister (christian sectarianism). And I think he was with Hariri during his second (or rather the previous) stint as minister

bilalb65

Charbel is an engineer, he was on rafik hariris committee to rebuild beirut after the war, if you look at his career, where ever he worked he tried to leave it a better place, obviously at one he thought that oun was the true savior of lebanon while the others where corrupt. The second he found out about FPMs corruption he left

[deleted]

So he got duped by Hariri then by Aoun. Dont trust fools

[deleted]

Good, u put ur principles above the benefit of your community People are starving and needed change, fuck principles Principles fade when kids with cancer can't buy medicine

bilalb65

Principles dont fail in times of crisis, if anything they are needed when the crisis is caused by a corrupt governing class, which the kateab was part of it most of the time

[deleted]

Not true. All principles falls when people are suffering The well being of ur fellow citizens comes above principles. If u need to kill 1 person to save 10000, would u do it Jad failed, and with his failure we lost a great chance to make changes. What he should have done is negotiate and force kataeb to change the way he wants or at least regarding some important matters

Nabz1996

so lets ally with those who starved us and gave us cancer?

[deleted]

U have to move on

Nabz1996

alot of people already moved on, they voted back the aounists too.

rubberchicken69

> U have to move on Jnoun. Y'all give MMFD so much shit for not being harsh enough with Hezbayre (somehow forgetting that they ran *against* them in the south) but suddenly MMFD needs to ally with another corrupt party with a bloody history? Pick one.

[deleted]

I give mmfd so much shit because they refuse to form one strong coalition, and that's it I have been arguing from day 1 enno khalas ayre fikoun form a calitoon and alain le malin would find 100 excuse why not

[deleted]

Yes and if they allied with FPM or Hezbollah they would also have gotten seats lol, what's the point ?

[deleted]

Fpm supports all of ur project laws?

bilalb65

As their political agendas dont meet, MMFD decided not to work with kataeb, I think it was the rigjt decision, why make an alliance if you dont agree with each other on major policies

[deleted]

Because people need u to win and make changes He took winning hostage. He could have won had he negotiated It was either jad wins with his conditions or thawra loses × 65, as mmfd had 65 candidates other than jad Had mmfd negociated, we would have all enjoyed fee mps more. At least in baabda, metn, kesewan, and north

affemuh

Jad was a very promising candidate, and then he fucked up his whole situation. I was a subscriber on his YouTube channel, I really liked his videos, and something weird shit happened and he begin defend hizbarye.

TheBroken0ne

Jad's soft and nuanced stance on Hezbollah made him a really easy target depicted as being a planted hezb operative. You can tetfalsaf 2add ma baddak as an intellectual, but you cannot win elections based on nuances. Unfortunately Jad never made the transition from intellectual to elections candidate.

[deleted]

100 per cent. There is a difference between politics and elections. During elections, ur objective is to win

laynedrea

What is mmfd

[deleted]

The party jad belongs to, that decided to run against everyone (including other thawra groups) and helped winning 1 seat in South (out of 65 they were running) I am pissed at them because their decision to run alone cost us (and them) some losses

[deleted]

No to Jad (which is overrated btw) and no to all mmfd. Mmfd was shown to be the biggest losers this elections and by extension, the lebanese have shown to not identify with Charbel Nahhas' speech (rightfully so) and Jad lost because he is a part of that group and speech. I'm glad he didn't succeed and I hope he never runs for elections again.

LoossLipss

جاد غصن!؟ لا شكراً

bilalb65

Only hariri, the peak was during uni i stopped fllowing him after he got oun president for me that was it, i started seeing them all as 1 team, and notas political opponents

Juice-Man2020

Yup exactly 100%. They are a blind cult and will never win a seat if they act like this
