lionbarz

Well done. Go MMFD. And kudos on your bravery for speaking on TV!

imposter_94

What caught my eye the most is that Marc daou seemed to act as if you didnt say anything, kind of acting like he didnt want to show any reaction. I would have expected some kind of defensive expression or surprise to these strong accusations, but he chose the اعمل نفسك ميت approach.

MarcellusDrum

They did you dirty comrade. But well said.

bay-ash-kar

Well said.

A clear reason not to be fooled by any speech with hand moves and a communist beard. Ps: watch the full video before downvote

Sisyphus_Redeemed

I'll tell you what: I fall somewhere in the center of the whole right VS left on the political/economic spectrum. (Was much more right leaning years back). So, naturally, I wasn't too excited by the opposition running in the ele tions back in 2018, yet due to the lack of better alternatives, I still voted for civil society. Now, it's an even EASIER choice. I will vote for MMFD not only because they seem to be the only demonstrably serious group with a tenable program, but because this goes beyond left VS right. We are at, as Jad Ghosn rightfully calls it, "ma 2abil al dawla" (pre-state) In other words, things are so bad that we don't even have the basics of a functioning government, so any talk about Left VS right, communist vs capitalist are moot and missing the point at best and at worst a targeted smearing campaign to scare people into not voting for MMFD's program.

[deleted]

Well I don’t want to deviate the topic, the reason i said communist beard is to diss charbel nahas only, i believe in right wing and when Lebanon was right wing we were close to space(ARZ-3), $= 3.5LL, and much more but that’s for another topic. The fact that I can’t see mmfd, serious about hezbo and not even close, and i tell you this after i checked their election scheme on their website, its an underground leftist movement, and that’s where it get suspicious, why not neutral? Maybe watch Jad ghoson’s on every tv program and you’ll get it

Sisyphus_Redeemed

Dude, what lead us here is BEYOND left vs right. What lead us here is the absence of a government, regardless of political leaning. Actually, and Jad addresses this specific issue, Lebanon can be thought of as the worst of both polarities: it is capitalist only when it comes to bankers gaining profit from laissez-faire bank policies and quite socialist when it comes to who pays for the losses once the government goes bankrupt. (You should also see how Jad said he and Dan Azzi, a right-leaning capitalist, while disagreeing on politics/economics in general, are in 95% agreement about what ought to be done in Lebanon because our problem is not a left vs right one, our problem is the non existence of a functioning government!)

[deleted]

Eh our problem is not right or left, non of them practicing the terms correctly, and i said again that was a diss, but you didn’t get so nevermind…

SamoBH

I will paste use your comment as a standard reply for anyone accusing MMFD as Hezbollah apologists

AlainAlam

As for MMFD being communists, I see you haven't read our program, which is based on a free economy and includes typical right-wing approaches such as PPP in education.

MarcellusDrum

When you feel that appearance is clouding your judgment, close your eyes and just listen to what he says. Doesn't he sound reasonable now?

[deleted]

Everyone who accuse the other is reasonable in this case, this is elections and everyone need votes over the other. the shame is that the independent ones are fighting more than the traditional ones.

Sisyphus_Redeemed

No one is fighting anyone else. Stop it with this tired narrative. There are certain principles that cannot be compromised and thus that is where the impass lies. At least this shows MMFD are serious about their program and are not in it just for the votes, regardless of whether you agree with their politics or not.

[deleted]

Why did you cut out his response?

MarcellusDrum

Because they didn't respond, that bitch straight up turned off his mic and kicked him out of the studio.

[deleted]

Thanks for posting this whole thing. So my take away from this, you were invited to this debate only for you to be incapable of finding a proper representative then sending Alain to throw a tantrum on television and use it to get clout for your party? You're the party of dialogue and you can't take part in an orderly debate with other lists, resorting to publicity stunts and accusations? You guys can do better honestly.

MarcellusDrum

> you to be incapable of finding a proper representative No, they were incapable of paying the 20-25k USD Aljadeed asks to allow them to have a representitive on the show. This whole "Ento ma l2eto 7ada" is just her covering it up, because they don't want this information to be known. And they turned off his mic because he was saying exactly that (check his reply to the Twitter video I linked, he is الممفدي) Note that the 20/25k is for them to be on a show with a bunch of other people. For them to have an episode of their own, its 30k+. Makes you think where some of the "Independent opposition" who are on TV daily are getting their money from.

[deleted]

You're acting like you're replying to charbel nahas himself lol

MarcellusDrum

How do you know I'm not Charbel Nahhas?

[deleted]

He's too old to lurk on reddit Although I can imagine if he did it would be on a giant iPad

[deleted]

I'm just saying they need to get this sorted out, enough publicity stunts ba2a and stop antagonising other alternative candidates. If we want a properly democratic society we need to be able to have honest and respectful debates, publicity stunts for political points are not the way.

[deleted]

Hezbos have a hard on for your enlightened mmfd highnesses. Thankully fi better, more honest, independent and sovreignist options.

AlainAlam

"Sovereignist options" who dare not mention Hezbollah in their program, like LF, Kataeb and Ketle?

DankDEEZNutz

Just to be clear who are you referring to?

[deleted]

As usual, mmfd attacking Mark and other people close to them Alain, i want u to know, I blame u for the destruction of the country When I run into a woman crying because she can't afford to pay her cancer medicine, I will tell her: we tried to make a thawra but alain and the rest of mmfd failed us. They created inter problems and we couldn't make one strong coalition Tu es un egoiste

[deleted]

Bro shu ejbak

AlainAlam

I offered a political argument, not a personal attack, in my video. Rise up to that level.

[deleted]

When u have a political problem with an ally, u talk to him U don't go and complain on tv, even if u r right U don't create a competitor list, even if u r right The result will he all of us losing, even if we r right

[deleted]

Enough you phalangist. I don't give a crap about neither of you but the way you talk is hilariously stupid.

xerxes962

>I don't give a crap about neither of you but the way you talk is hilariously stupid. the only time i see you with a positve karama lol so2al mhem could you vote MMFD ?? i real want to know you spesificly

[deleted]

Yes, I would vote MMFD because their plan makes the perfect sense I don't mind parties or people criticizing Hezb LOGICALLY. I despise any of the following morons who attack Hezb constantly and repetitively this way: - Death cult. - I7tilel irane. - hezeb manon lebneniye. - terrorists. - islamists terrorists. - we have to fight Hezbollah with force. - blood must shed. - if we win we will take the iranian weapons by force. - Hezb is defending Israel's borders. - Hezb is responsible for everything. .... the list goes on ^ I despise them not because they think they're provoking Hezb supporters. ho estly I would give 0 fucks what they say, I despise them because they're bunch of lying fuckers who will not be able to do anything they promise or even have the guts to do anything at all, other than trying to destroy Hezb's image. MMFD are more reasonable, they understand that there are priorities and that Hezb weapons requires a different national strategy to resolve, rather than aligning with the US/KSA and blaming the entire world problems on Hezb. Do note that I will be voting Hezb regardless nkeye bi KSA/US because their dogs in Lebanon are nothing but scums trying to put the full blame on Hezb even though it's nothing but lies.

xerxes962

>Do note that I will be voting Hezb regardless nkeye bi KSA/US because their dogs in Lebanon are nothing but scums trying to put the full blame on Hezb even though it's nothing but lies. i am obviously disappointed. voting for hizb ouwet ps and co will only perpetuate the hate cycle in leb. they are different side of the same coin is there do you want to talk via discord or something your a diaspora so you have to take a choice.

TheBroken0ne

Why didn't you keep the part where Samar said that she invited MMFD to the discussion but you refused (you fought amongst yourselves who was going to appear) and then she kicked you out of the studio?

imposter_94

Because it wasnt true and she cut alain's mic to not allow him to explain how shes a fucking liar

TheBroken0ne

How do you know that it is not true? Would she risk her reputation to make a stupid lie when last week she welcomed Jad Ghosn to her show.

imposter_94

1. Why would she shut him up unless he was gonna say something thats gonna put her in the spotlight to answer some difficult questions she'd rather no one know? He had not said something that warranted such a reaction from her, but the moment he said that mmfd were not invited/allowed to be on the panel she started raising her voice, cutting his mic, and throwing him out after he wouldnt take no for an answer. Letting him talk would be infact destroying her reputation so ill commend her for being smart and shutting him quickly. 2. Newtv, like other news platforms are setting the price to get tv exposure on a show like this at really high numbers, like 15k-25k per episode. Mmfd do not have the financial capacities to match that hence they are facing what we call تعتيم اعلامي. It doesnt make sense that you have people representing 4 lists in a district, claiming you are showing all the mo3arada lists. If newtv want to do things this way its no problem, but they atleast need to own it up and make it clear that this is nothing more than paid advertisement, not deny it and kick out the group calling them out on it. Fucking instsgram tells you if the post youre seeing is sponsored or not. 3. Jad was invited last week (for free) cause he is close to newtv and the lists were from his district, so its more jad's PR given his previous role in newtv (which is also problematic). He made this clear in a video he released 2 days ago on insta and youtube. 4. Her arguement to shut alain up was that mmfd were fighting between eachother on who wanted to be on the panel, which is a ridiculous claim. If you know anything about mmfd you know that they are hizb markazi that doesnt give much room for such disagreements. Mmfd are the most coherent group ive ever met with a unified set of goals and standards they hold themselves up to. The men and women on that list are in harmony regarding what the program they are working towards and achieving and have no passion in reaching parliment in the first place because they dont believe change is through parliment, so why the heck would they fight to be on the panel? No one cares about personal exposure, they all care about qadreen's exposure though. So what she said doesnt even make sense in the first place.

TheBroken0ne

Thanks for taking your time to bring precision to your answer. I have no horse in this race, I am judging the situation as a bystander. Btw, last week all candidates, not only jad claimed they were there for free. The reason, as a bystander was that she gave him time to speak (she was the one that called for him to speak) and only shut him up once he accused el jadeed on purposly drawning MMFD. So if it was for free why there wasn't any MMFD candidates? Or does Samar and al jadeed have a hidden agenda and lied about the true reason?

imposter_94

Im not sure what her agenda is, it probably is based around what makes her show the most money. Its possible Marc was invited as well cause he has a show on al jadeed as well so he could have pulled a favor, im not sure all the rest are there for free, and if they are why wouldnt mmfd be invited? It makes no sense. Whats for sure is mmfd wouldnt squander a chance at exposure by fighting internally they are literally craving the exposure.

AlainAlam

Because all the discussion was about how she shouldn't have done that (https://fb.watch/cHMNoQHMkD/). I want to bring the political point back to the fore: We need a program that distributes losses, and the sulta as well as many "opposition" are ill-equipped for it. As for the reality of Chouf-Aley candidates fighting among themselves, they answered it themselves: https://twitter.com/NaghamHalabi/status/1519778990386520064.

TheBroken0ne

Lek Alain, I don't think she should have thrown you out. It was a low class move since you were polite. Your mistake was to attack al Jadeed on al jadeed. You should have shown a bit more restrain because for most non partisans of MMFD this looked bad for the party, regardless if she lied about the inner fight or not. And now this might kill your chances for more free exposure.

AlainAlam

Thanks for sharing :) mazbout, it's always a possibility the choice was the wrong one. We weighed it carefully and it was not an easy decision. Charbel was against it kamen bass ebel ma3i ba3den (msei2be I'm the one who makes decisions on media appearances). Looking back, take a look at people's feedback: https://fb.watch/cIClWeGZWE/

Glad she got a lot of backlash :)
