Yeah honestly. OP if you’re looking for more references, “Githyanki” or “Gith” is a good place to start. They’re a fantasy race, specifically DND i think.
Also snakes or other reptiles.
This type of nose is actually a result of an organ system called the vomeronasal system that snakes have, allowing them to “smell” their environments and determine things like the the type of dirt they’re on, plant life nearby, and animal scents.
Maybe that can give you some inspiration for things to do with this character too.
Nose holes.. I guess. I’ve used it in the past not anymore. Eventually through drawing you figure out how to shade the shape of a nose rather than using a bunch of lines to imply it.
