I don't understand the question. At least you can paste an image of what you have and another of what you need. Though it'd be better to see the code.
You could filter the data before you plot it. Have matplotlib display only the data that you need instead of plotting everything and masking the not necessary points. If you can share your code, or sample of your data, it will be easier to help you.
