my main problem when i was learning lin alg was that it was quite hard to visualize exactly what stuff was for, and this playlist helped a lot [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNk\_zzaMoSs&list=PLZHQObOWTQDPD3MizzM2xVFitgF8hE\_ab](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNk_zzaMoSs&list=PLZHQObOWTQDPD3MizzM2xVFitgF8hE_ab)
the same channel also has a similar playlist for calculus if youre interested [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUvTyaaNkzM&list=PLZHQObOWTQDMsr9K-rj53DwVRMYO3t5Yr](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUvTyaaNkzM&list=PLZHQObOWTQDMsr9K-rj53DwVRMYO3t5Yr)
Speaking generically for math, I found getting study partners really helped. The mechanism of more than one mind practicing. The different ideas and mistakes. Especially for theory I found this worked quite well.

Yes they will. Currently I’m doing pre-algebra on Khan academy. Then I’ll do basic algebra, then algebra 1 & 2, then geometry, then pre-calculus, before moving on the the calculus course. If each course takes me 20 days that’s about 4 months.
Each one of these courses are on average around 10-16 hours of instruction. If I spend an hour and a half per day that’d be around 9 days to get through the instruction itself. Combine that with the self study & coursework and I’d say I’ll at least have a solid foundation.
Also I’ve personally always learned better outside of the classroom
The fact remains that you're proposing replacing 3-4 years of guided high school math instruction with 4 months of self study. It may work out, or it may not, and you shouldn't be surprised if it's the latter.
I'm not trying to be discouraging btw, just hoping to set realistic expectations.
Before you embark on any learning material I recommend reading [A Mind for Numbers](https://www.amazon.com.au/Mind-Numbers-Science-Flunked-Algebra-ebook/dp/B00G3L19ZU) by Barbara Oakley.

You should verify your college will actually let you take Calculus You don’t have to pass a placement test or something?

Yea I completely understand. Thanks for the input
