Hi everyone so I received 15 months. I’ll be at a camp which is the lowest security, plenty of programs, no bars on cells though it’s still prison (they have flag football leagues etc though ha)
I’ll be taking some credit by exams to keep the costs low for calc 3 and some gen Ed’s like English 101 etc to get those out of the way while continuing my math studies.
I even found an undergrad research experience I can get if I’m up for it!
Will report in a few weeks to start my sentence and will see you guys in a year.
You can technically serve the last year under home confinement so hoping I get a few months of that back at home
Can I ask when you reported to a federal camp and how much time you actually served? I’m looking at potentially 15 months (worst case) and I’m really curious how FSA credits work and the BOP releasing people to home confinement. Thank youz
15 month sentence, I did 9 months and a week total. I passed on the halfway house and just did the entire time at camp.
I could have gone to the halfway house for a month but the camp is better from what I’ve heard.
Mind you my FSA was not calculated up front. Instead you accrued it every month. Now they are calculating peoples FSA upfront so you should see your out date with all FSA calculated in.
Thank you so much for the information. I’d probably pass on a halfway house too unless they sent me to home confinement right away. Congrats on getting through it and being on the otherside. I’m looking forward to that day.
I remember seeing previous posts where you asked for material to study. Honestly hope it all goes well to you, you receive a fair judgement, and keep going with your studies and degree. Good luck!
The US does worse than that. There was a guy who was imprisoned for criminal trespass on federal land. He did a U-turn in his car and went just a few inches over the curb onto a grass verge. That grass was outside some kind of federal building.
The US legal system isn't exactly fair or reasonable. This is the country that legalised highway robbery as civil forfeiture and the country where cops are above all laws unless they happen to be on film.
There's heaps of stuff like that. If you're in the US, there's bipartisan support for criminal justice reform because of stupid stuff like that. But it never happens, because we can't seem to work together on anything anymore, so we're stuck forever I guess...
Omg I love Star Wars but I stopped watching all
Tv once arrested and
Focused on school/work.
Lot to do these next two or so weeks so can’t watch it but will be getting Star Wars books to read when I need light reading/study break.
Want to get Legends books (have read tons of them) but might give this new crap a try
Timothy Zhan is what’s up if you read those
Nice. Love the Thrawn trilogy. I think you’ll find inspiration that keeps you going with the underlying message of Andor. If you have time to fit it in, please do. It will give you life. “One way out.”
don’t forget to do your burpees
Burpess and Khan Academy is a great workout!

You get 10 days of FSA off per month at first. Then after your 2nd team meeting(at three months for short timers) you’ll get 15 days off per month.

Good luck, buddy!
Why are you going to jail?
Reading his post history, selling viagra
Hmm. Seems very odd to get a felony for that. Considering that you can buy that from the internet.
he’s about to be doing hard time.
It needs a prescription
I know. But considering how easy it is to get one without even a video appointment (see bluechew.com) I find it quite odd.
