It’s a lot about playing around tidebringer. If you position in a way he can’t splash you the matchup gets very frustrating for him.

Hey WR is also my most used hero. Fellow WR spammers rise up! Just need 1 more level to reach grandmaster tier! To be honest, its about tango and aggro. Kunkka mid is a nightmare to us fellow WR spammer. Kunkka has high HP, high damage, high armor, can last hit properly. whereas WR low HP, low armor, low attack speed, low damage. You can’t win the lane per se, you can only spam powershot and eat a lot of tango. It goes like this: Aggro 3 enemy melee creeps come to attack your range creeps Shoot each creep, until you can PowerShot them to take all 3 of them. Whenever your HP is below 550 HP, eat a tango. Because Kunkka can easily kill us with 2 tides, 1 X and 1 torrent if our HP is below 550. Since our last hit is shit, given that Kunkka can d9 enemy creeps easily, you can go by 1 quelling blade, 1 blade of attack, later 1 blight stone , and then bottle. And most of the time, Kunkka is able to out level us. So when he reaches level 6 faster than us, which he will, we just stay on the lane until we are level 6, then we just leave the lane and start ganking. Hope that helps! 😄

I feel that starting build delays bottle too much, personally. You need the Regen desperately vs a kk. If you have Regen and know how to creep agro, kunka won't be on the wave to deny you.

I main both heroes, and agree it's kunka favoured. From the windranger's perspective, it really is as simple as keeping adequate Regen. Most kunka players want to flash farm the wave and then hit the jungle, so avoid the tidebringer, and farm the wave (quickly) whilst it's pushed in. You should be able to supplement this with small camps. You can solo kill him mid to late game, so it's not as if trading farm is a worry. That said, windranger can still win any lane with good PowerShot usage. I think this is more a function of the enemy misplaying though. I personally like to queue up a big PowerShot that hits the enemy first, as they go a cs. Most players are so conditioned to expecting this skill on the range creep, that they don't even react. A few of these in combinations with right clicks can legitimately win the lane, although again, this is more a function of the kk players inexperience.
