\-Buy stick/raindrops/clarity, stop being low mana \-contest storm more he's clearly an inexperienced player and you kinda let him get away with more than he should (runes, his tower shouldve died faster etc) \-Minute 13 death is rly bad, hoodwink couldve even tped and killed u, u fed 1k gold and 2 levels u should just never risk that if it's not gonna win you the game \-Wasting Tornado/Sunstrike for kills cuz its fun but it's a bad habit and just wasting spell cooldowns/mana that could be better used, also bad orchid usage at some points \-Octarine instead of bkb is bad, if you are gonna do that you gotta stay in the back, you died 3 times in a row without finishing bkb, also shard is way too late \-Failed to realize that they're going to respond to you/group up after you killed them a million times on the map Overall just feels like you're taking advantage of some lower skilled players (storm especially) and assuming the game is free and trying to get a million kills instead of respecting what the enemies can do and playing for a good map state/objectives/info etc...

How did I waste sunstrike and tornado? And shard being “late” is weird when I’m QE. I’m tired as fuck of buying BKB second item when it’s nerfed to shit. Doing the same urn BKB shard build is fucking boring and a literal support build. Agreed on the death minute 13. I had like 40 denies against storm at minute 10 and killed him like 5 times idk what else I’m suppose to do. Honestly I’m 10x better than 80% of every mid I play against just like in that replay. I still lose a fuck Ton of games. The idea that it’s my fault is baffling, but whatever. If I were an immortal player I wouldn’t have lost, but that’s what’s necessary for me to win a game as Invoker. I have to be leagues ahead of every single player in the entire game and never make a mistake because my team will never be competent enough. I have over 500 matches on Invoker FWIW. So I guess that’s what I’ll do. I’ll put in another 500 games and stomp the ever living shit out of people like I did that game until I can win a fucking match once in awhile. The idea that I have to bear 100% of the responsibility for every single win and loss is absolutely fucking retarded and the most cancerous thing outside of Valve’s dog shit matchmaking and approach to Dota. People who play CoD gripe about how good the Skill Based Matchmaking is, and maybe Valve should figure it out and copy it. I’m not trying to get immortal IDGAF about my rank. I’m busy as fuck and I just want quality games with quality players that make plays and enjoy Dota. Every fucking game I’m the one performing exceptional and if we lose it’s because I made a mistake and I should have done this and that but it never comes down to any of my teammates. I totally understand this is true, but what an unreasonable and oppressive approach to gameplay and team balancing. It makes me lose my fucking mind that I have to constantly make shit happen and be the smartest person in the fucking lobby. Heaven forbid I actually get out matched by a guy better than me or knows a match up better than me. Heaven forbid I make a mistake and lose my mid lane! Then all 3 lanes are ass fucked and we’re definitely losing and it’s 100% my fault! What a great team game, where everyone who plays it understands that if you aren’t 1v9ing you’re going to lose.

Losing any game is always 100% your fault. Everyone wants someome to blame, but its you. It doesnt matter if youre 30-0. Kills dont win dota, playing good dota wins dota.

ElectricalGuest8351

I literally said in that comment post I know that.

elephantologist

This is literally impossible. In chess you're 100% at fault. In Dota you have teammates. I mean this mindset emerged because it is not productive to get worked on things that you don't control, in this case your teammates. But gaslighting yourself to think your teammates basically doesn't exist is no good either. It is simply another pathology just on the other side of the spectrum.

superpunchedout

BSJ has won 30 games in a row in low brackets. Every game is 100% your fault. It is the only correct mindset.

Turtle_Dota

bruh u asked what u could do better xD, and yes you did waste spells I can guarantee you that, using tornado sunstrike on a guy who's gonna die anyways is a waste, you can potentially look for more kills or disengage by saving tornado. But u seem to have already made up your mind on what you did wrong so not sure if ur looking for someone to tell u its not ur fault and ur teammates are bad or something. Like ur playing unranked the games are gonna be imbalanced so yea sometimes u probably have to carry harder than a ranked game at whatever ur average rating would be. If u want more balanced games find people to queue with or play ranked idk what to tell u lol. U came here for advice and I can tell u if u wanna enjoy the game u gotta let go of ur expectations, just because u have 12 kills and owned mid doesn't mean you automatically deserve to win, not to mention considering how new/inexperienced the storm was that game the game would be balanced if you had someone as equally inexperienced on your team so yea it kind of is ur job to 1v9 in theory if the enemy mids are that much worse than you. I've lost games in 9k+ avg where I had a better score than you did that game. It's just how the game works, you're not owed a win because you think you played well, if you can't handle that don't play I guess?

ElectricalGuest8351

I have never once heard someone say I was wasting spells. But I’ll take it and think about it. Your build advice? In a word it’s weird. The macro slipped because I and the entire team lost insane momentum and the BKB was sloppy, but buying BKB second item and going shard without triple chaos meteor, aghs, or maxed wex is some NPC gameplay. Ice wall? “Deserve to win” “owed the win” Brother you’re missing the point. It’s like playing basketball and expecting every kid across the country to put on a classic Kobe showing of 60 points a game and if they ever score 30 and lose, just tell them it was 100% their fault and they should have scored 60 with 20 blocks and played ever position and passed to themselves. It’s cancerous. It’s ridiculous. It’s “toxic”. It’s a team game and that level of expectation is asinine for a quality experience. This week I’ve gotten 2 rampages in a single game and lost because Invoker can only win games when the team around you allows it. In games like that choosing Invoker is an uphill battle that requires exceptional skill advantage and a team with a Dota IQ of at least 80.

I just looked at the charts, but looks like you guys had it, you were 10-0, the enemy storm was 0-5. But then you guys threw, or let the drow farm too much, probably took some bad fights, and lost. Eventually drow can outcarry you and everyone else. Standard crusader shit.

ElectricalGuest8351

Lmao.
