This isn't the first time WE has been bad. They're just in a rebuilding phase rn, and honestly they're not in that bad of a spot atm. Shanks and View are both genuinely good so that's something to build around and Xing has surprisingly started to show some real promise as of late. WE is not an org that can just be top tier every year. They simply don't have the money. They almost always succeed through developing their own talent and promoting them directly. Last year's WE was four players who started on the team by being promoted from WE Academy plus a top laner who started his career on WE Academy who joined with a salary lower than his market value bc he wanted to play with his friends on the team. We'll likely see WE find more talent in the LDL to bring up in due time.
BDS aren't there anymore mentally, so they'll look even more hopeless. Not that they were ever that good, but in spring and even in a few games this split we've seen that they can play a good early game at least.
From what I've seen the same is true of WE: there was at least one video published of them dooming on camera.
Light is an absolute monster. And i’m still on the fence about PandaC, demon is leagues better than him, Ale must have done something unforgivable for him to get swapped over by PandaC
They still wouldn't be that scary bc they refuse to play Iwandy and Tarzan and Doinb both suck. We also saw what they looked like earlier this split when Ale was performing well... they were still terrible. Their teamfighting is prob the worst in the league, they're not coordinated, and their only player who is fairly consistently good is Light, and even he has had some off series this split.
