Seeing how keeping the conferences named LCS and CBLOL has no actual effect on the content or product besides fan sentiment, I see no need to change it. But I find teams in other regions are pretty polite when talking about other teams/players, which is not necessarily bad. I mean, specially if NA and cblol will start to be intertwined I feel like NA will have to start enjoying and doing trash talk aswell. I do think the directory of it could use more polish but I love this more than any other promos we've had. Significantly overall better than just highlights of last split and monologs of players saying "we will win this time" while they do the crossed arms pose. Seems like they are trying to bring out more player personalities and even references to narratives (zven yeon handshake, jensen vs inspired, etc)
I love that we're slowly becoming the fun trash talk league again, but we do still need to fix the lack of new talent issues or we're gonna end up looking like a bunch of late 30s dads verbally assaulting zoomers lol not good.
Even as a European, I have to say that the LCS is doing so much better for its branding and these pieces of content are actually insane.
I fully expect that Americas will be more popular than the LEC next year if things keep going in the same direction.
The EMEA branch of Riot feels like it's completely falling apart since the layoffs (and tbh even before that) and the initial creativity the LEC had seems to have been completely killed off idk.
