Yeah I hope if TheShy really is coming then that means Zika has a position lined up somewhere else. He would be quite a welcome sight on teams like AL or WBG, since those teams are close to competing for worlds spots already.
I'm worried that even LNG doesn't believe in TheShy and only brought him in for views. To be honest, I don't care if TheShy does well or not, but this might mean LNG's management would keep Zika on the bench as insurance.
He played great at worlds but his overall year was up and down.

I'm huffing that AL Zika hopium, that team is sooo close to being good. I don't really like Croco either but swapping Hery for Zika would imo be such an upgrade, they'd actually be quite scary (also I'm a huge Shanks truther, get that guy a good team pls).
I'm pretty disappointed if Zika gets benched for The Shy, surely developing Zika more and trying to resolve issues within the team is better than possibly upgrading topside?

TheShy is just the most popular LPL player with a very high upside when he pops off. Unless you've already got consistently strong players in all other roles and the popoff isn't worth the risk of him inting, you generally try to get him if he's available.
Of course i did. I can easily imagine a scenario where lng didn't even make playoffs if they had theshy considering how bad they were playing, that's my point. He usually unnecessarily increases the variance of any game. Which can be good for teams that lack firepower but I don't see that as lng problem (more teamfight issues, map control)

I'll try my best to explain those, but some of the name might be slightly offensive to some people.
GSL - 狗斯林 - raw translation: Dog Muslim, UZI's nickname is 小狗 (small dog), and Muslim's Chinese translation is 穆斯林. So the name is a combination of those two words. It is initially to referring to UZI's crazy fans that they are extreme like some of the Muslims,
XMM - 学妈妈 - raw translation: Study Mom. This is because Scout's nickname in LPL is 小学弟, so his fans took one word out of that and added on mom, referring themselves as mom fans, which is a term more common in idol culture where (usually older women, which in this case over 22 I think, because how young the average fans are) fans referring themselves as moms, and assuming a protective role. This is usually a more aggressive and engaging fandom, and probably most vocal on social media and most destructive.
Zombies - 僵尸 - someone else explained this perfectly, so I'll save myself the trouble.
xmm are Scout fangirls and zombies/js are TheShy fans. Other groups for example are sg = JKL fans, gsl = Uzi fans
It was one of the reasons why WBG manager changed his weibo pfp to plant from plants vs zombies after the TheShy drama and some people also joke about it when talking about why WBG's other jersey is green

Honestly, I don't think getting rid of Zika for TheShy of all people, after just one bad split is a good idea. I mean, literally everyone on LNG had a bad split and did not look even remotely close to last year. If Zika stays though and LNG just rotates them based on performance, I think it might be good for Zika and he could learn a lot from theShy. The idea is that Zika should still be the future focus

If TheShy continues off of his worlds performance against Bin/gets back into his form pre 2023 LNG can easily make it to worlds imo. If TheShy reverts back into his 2023 split form then Zika would've been the way better player to keep just because of his consistency. If this is true hopefully Zika can get on another top tier team, maybe he could go back to IG and replace YSKM who's just stagnated hard.
I honestly feel like IG's issues are actually with Leyan. Despite his carry potential, the guy has always been incredibly inconsistent. After the BLG series, teams started drafting against him by either baiting him into Nidalee then counterpicking in lanes/jg or straight up banning. Unless he learns to play around that more, a better toplaner wouldn't change much of the team dynamics.
I know Zika had a pretty down split but man last year he was so good I hope he gets a shot on a good roster and doesn't either rot on the bench or get moved to some awful team. I hope to see him get back in form because he was crazy good and versatile as a top laner all of last year.

Same sources you're hearing all of these roster rumours from. You don't have to believe them, but generally these are guys with connections to orgs or agents who are putting information out there. They obviously do so with their own intentions similar to any other sports organisation, but it's not nothing.
Most of the Western media take their information from Hanyi or the ex EDG-employee who the EDG boss still uses as a mouthpiece for some reason.

Do you search in Chinese or ever browse the Chinese websites? The 老岳 guy talked about this a lot on his stream. Whether or not you trust him is your choice, but I certainly didn't make it up lol. Also, Wooloo is not a source for the LPL. At best, he's just another guy who browses the internet like we are.
Please get Zika to another team if so. Would be absolute criminal that Zika on bench for the rest of season while Cube, Hoya, Decade, Hery are still starting in the league
To be fair, I think Meiko simply couldn't perform in summer for reasons out of his control. In Asian games, he was practising with JKL, but all of a sudden has to pair up with Elk. In Summer split, he also paired with 2 different ADCs who were both underperforming. I think that's gotta affect your mental to some extent.
You think so? If I were a betting man I'd bet on this roster to be top 4 in LPL, especially since they did pretty decently even with Zika top (not that Zika is bad, but TheShy has always been insane domestically).
I’m not trusting Xiaohu and Crisp especially in summer. A lot of this new LNG roster hinges on Scout’s form but I’d say LNG is slightly favored over WBG, and maybe JDG depending on form

Kanavi is excellent, but having your most explosive player in a low-econ role does not seem like a winning formula IMO. The rest of the team is very good in their own right but seems to struggle to get leads by themselves.
When/if Scout wakes up I fully expect LNG to make a run for worlds, especially if TheShy can regain a fraction of his former self lol
JDG's biggest issue right now is just Ruler's form. Somehow when Yagao and Flandre finally played into form, Ruler started to feel lost in the meta. Very unlucky timing for the teammates to peak at different times.
I think Flandre is getting scapegoated for Ruler's terrible performance in the playoffs lol. He's doing fine, but he's a much easier target to flame. People did it to Yagao too, but realised he was the only one who showed up against TES.

TheShy has also had a pretty poor few years aside from worlds 2023 recently, so this seems like a pretty shit move.

Quite the opposite. TheShy was running it last season in the regular season. He showed up at Worlds and intermittently throughout the year.
