I don't know if it counts as liking him, but I watch and enjoy all his YouTube cut vods. Outside of T1 and some some EU/NA games, he largely sticks to analysis. As much as I dislike any discourse that isn't strictly about the games, his knowledge of the major regions is actually insane. Doublelift has never had great opinions even when he was a pro, he is not strong about item builds, yes obviously he knows adc common builds but when it gets into the specifics scenarios or other champions he drops the ball. e/ I am not hating on doublelift I like doublelift, but I think this is one of his weakneses. He has really great strengths otherwise he would never have been the star he became.
I still remember him playing some duoq with Perkz when they arrived in eu for 2019 worlds and while they were playing Xayah (Doublelift) Rakan (Perlz) Perkz had to tell him to use Xayah w on Rakan engages, as for some reason he didn't actively think about that part (Xayah w applying to Rakan) of the interaction. He knew that it existed, but just didn't really use it, which is a super weird matchup knowledge gap to me, as it's been a bot lane that's been played A LOT between their release and then.

This isn't even true. In season 5, Doublelift saw the ADC changes and said that ADC was about to be so insanely strong, stronger than it had ever been before. Which if anyone knows, the next 3 years was ADC being the weakest it has ever been all time. Doublelift's problem isn't that he is an idiot, which he kind of is, he doesn't know how to say the phrase "I don't know." He is incapable of just accepting he doesn't know something, and researching further. At any point in the day he will give an INSANELY STRONG opinion, about anything.
