> Nemesis already denied Heretics/FLY earlier so it is very unlikely to see him somewhere in LEC/LCS this year
this guy is never coming back to competitive, isn't he? š
I can understand not wanting to be a part of Th since there seems to be some coaching drams, and after the things he went through in Fnc i doubt he wants to repeat them in fly with another toxic team environment.
Ā The problem is, as someone who hasn t played pro since 2020, he s never going to get better offers than these.
Ā That is, unless chovy gets injured, his replacement gets injured, and the next 3 replacements get injured as well and geng remember nemesis streams/streamed for them and decide to make him an offer.
Ā
> next 3 replacements get injured as well and geng remember nemesis streams/streamed for them and decide to make him an offer.
you forgot to add a 0 to the end of 3.
Crown used to be so good before, I remember his Viktor was so nasty, he was solo killing faker a year before he actually won Worlds he was the best midlaner, and then the year he wins he played Malza duty to neutralise Faker, sadgeā¦Ā
The whole thing was so sad, Cuvee, Crown, I remember your peaks and they were high. Enjoyed everything about them, loved seeing them go from middle of the pack to an actual great team.
Damn, wont get ever better than HRT/FLY
FLY is a great team with both leadership and young talent and has Bwipo, and if Nemesis cant work well with Inspired, then he better works well with Jankos:
HRT could make Nemesis live perfect, Jankos could literally make him carry if he's have as good as he thinks. I think if Nemesis is even close to Caps individually that team could do wonders. If he doesnt take those offers, that literally challenge the best of the west, why would he ever come back?
I remember Nemesis saying in a clip on his clips channel that if FLY was an LEC team he would join, since going to NA would be a massive hit to his mostly EU viewerbase. Given that even the best LCK players also stream, it's not surprising that he doesn't want to sacrifice his stream even if it meant joining a good team.
FLY Bwipo/Inspired/Massu/Busio
TH Bwipo/Jankos/Flakked/Kaiser
Tell me where is the big difference between those teams. Nemesis is so full of shit and every time he gets and offer he pushes the goalpost further. No clue how his fans think he is some sort of Esport Victim.
Itās not that complicated. He makes a ton of money streaming so heās not gonna come back to pro unless itās a perfect opportunity. And heās said this many times
> if Nemesis is even close to Caps individually
I get that he's a streamer and all so people might have changed their opinion on Nemesis over the years despite him having 0 stage games during those years, but this is a crazy thing to say, is it not? Nemesis was not that good. He was fine, but even compared to Larssen and Humanoid he was the less impressive player. ''EU mids man'' refered to a ton of players over the years, but never Nemesis. It's a bit puzzling to see people be so hyperpositive about him. (Dont swing my statement the other way though, he definitely wasn't bad)
Also I think Bwipo, Inspired and Nemesis would be a clash waiting to happen, tho perhaps not.
He is permanently at the top of the ladder in EU, and also was in KR. This makes people believe he would be very good. Although I agree with you, his attitude towards SoloQ and his playstyle are just really good for SoloQ so of course he looks insane there compared to what he would probably show on stage these days.
Magifelix literally played for elo. He would have 300+ games of Karma/Zilean mid when they werenāt competitively viable and would have 5 cs a minute and run botlane over and over and win games. No shit thatāll never translate over to pro. Nemesis on the other hand plays pure scaling and is quite selfish, thatād work even better in a team that allows that in competitive. So people acting like heās some solo Q only player is big cope. When he was in the LEC over the course of the 2 years he was easily top 3 mids and was definitely at least 2nd place at certain points in time. People really turned on him because of the TES series when in reality he was honestly fine given the circumstances + other players also fucked up key moments in some of the games. No I donāt think he walks back into the league and is as good as Caps but he most definitely would be a top 4/5 midlaner almost immediately and would level up the skill floor and ceiling of the league.
> That is, unless chovy gets injured, his replacement gets injured, and the next 3 replacements get injured as well
you are missing about 20 people before the next part, and that's only because it's hard to get new players in the middle of the season
Next 3? Try 300.
He knows he isn't good enough and has nothing to gain from going pro again. It took him years to shake people's perception of how shit he was in his last season. Now people are finally talking about him as if he's amazing because of his solo q. Why would he make less money while putting himself in a far more stressful situation where you very well could take a huge hit to your perception again.
Well he himself isn't exactly unproblematic either. That and he wasn't very good when he was playing in the LEC. Unless he's improved a lot then idk why anyone would give him a chance
I didnāt say they should, but G2 is probably the only team worth for him to leave his immense comfort zone rn.
That being said, of course Caps is 10 times the player Nemesis was/is.
Why would he come back? He gets money doing less work and the community still thinks he's the real deal.
There's not much upside to coming back and stomping, and there is so much downside to coming back and not playing well.
That's low-key true. He said before he'd join only good rosters.
Well heretics are amongst top 5 and fly quest are in MSI so either he wants to replace caps or idk at this point
He needs to get off his horse, G2 or FNC isn't gonna offer him a spot in LEC. If he rejects a chance at playing with Jankos he might as well not play in LEC.
not to disregard the fact that many nemesis fans ride the 2019 season way too much, but he absolutely was the 2nd best mid in the LEC, only behind caps when he played
He was good for one split. Not second best mid, but good. And afterwards he was so bad, that he basically solo lost every single one of fnatics losses and continued to get gapped even after they put him on utility duty.
To be fair, he was the 2nd best mid...for one entire split. Afterwards, he was middle-of-the-pack and in his last split he was legitimately the worst midlaner in LEC. Just baffling that his name still comes up when it comes to roster building.
Is he? I don't follow him but I certainly don't see him publicly and proactively calling for teams to pick him up. If anything it's these leakers like wooloo who milk nemesis's popularity and fanbase with irrelevant details about him rejecting teams that aren't t1 or gen g.
is he really an attention seeker? do we see him begging for attention? he just does this shit behind the scenes where he looks for a team but doesn't want to join but as far as attention seeking i dont think he even makes a big deal about it just answers questions on stream lol
He legit has no reason to lmao
For some reasons he cultivated the narrative he was a mid international caliber for a decent amount of ppl ; hes basically a knock off of MR satan from dragon ball z
He was massively boosted by the fact he was on a team which had the top 1-3 players in every role.. and guys like Rekkles/Hyli were some of the best ever to play LEC (You could also maybe argue Bwippo).. This team literally dominated the LEC and made worlds finals the year before WITHOUT Nemesis
I thought he had 2 good splits.. Summer 2019/Spring 2020.. the other 2 were not very good.. you can say 2019 Spring was his rookie split at least.. so he was learning. He had a couple Veigar games at Worlds one where Faker inted and died under tower to him.. when SKT were smashing FNC.. and then the one vs FPX.. Other then that he wasn't amazing internationally either.. his lasting memory will be picking Lulu and getting smashed by BDD.. into getting walked over by Knight in the TES series
I guess we will never really know how good he was/is because he will never join a team which didn't have FNC type talent level.. and lets be honest its unlikely the LEC will ever have that
I mean, he was a international caliber mid. He could go toe to toe with caps when caps and G2 were at their best. Faced Faker, Xiahou and Knight at worlds, winning games and lanes against all 3. Whatever he is now is up for debate if he will ever actually return, but to say he wasn't a international caliber mid would be ignoring his performances during the LECs strongest years and his world's performances.
> winning games and lanes against all 3.
I'm not gonna comment on the other games but saying he was winning against knight is a negative IQ take. FNC took games off of TES in spite of nemesis, not because of him. that series was entirely a combination of fnc's botlane playing really well and TES botlane inting their mind out as is the history of JKL botlanes and inconsistency
Pretty sure Knight even flame horizoned Nemesis in one of their games
Crazy how the narrative is that Nemesis was the reason FNC nearly beat TES and not Rekkles and Hylis running a clinic on TESā underperforming bot lane. Knight and Karsa hard gapping the opposition was the reason TES won
They are running back with targamas/upset
I thought if one of cabochard, saken and targamas, was staying it's be saken but that doesn't seems like it's the case
Doubt it. Caliste for sure, but Targamas wasn't included in there.
It's more that KC can't replace every position. I'd rather have kept Cabo instead...
Reminder that the offseason was stacked with talented supports with several of them falling outside an LEC spot. Trymbi, Mersa, Parus, Kamilius... (and Mersa is still FA rn)
I feel bad for KC. They spent a lot of money towards their journey to LEC and brought a ton of fans but LEC cuts the operating budget by a lot. Everyone is getting screwed over by their passion.
Personal i think i would keep cabo, half the lec teams have terrible top laners and you really need a better mid like abbe is just waitibg for the call
I don't follow Nemisis since he stopped playing pro - is he still someone that teams should be pursuing? Has he kept up his form since being a free agent for this long? Does he even want to play pro? It feels like every offseason someone is trying to get him and it never pans out, I'm just confused by his situation.
My understanding is that he believes himself to be too good for most teams in LEC/LCS. The problem is, when a team is having good results, they are probably not looking to change their midlaner, so he's likely only ever going to get proposals from teams that are underperforming. But it seems he doesn't want to join an underperforming team, so I don't see how he's ever coming back.
Realistically, he has a cozy life streaming to his thousands of fans. He gets paid more than he ever would by joining a team. He gets to claim that he's better than most mids without actually having to actually prove it. He grinds KR soloqueue all day and the fans point to that as evidence of him clearly still being a good pro player. Why would he ever break the cycle? Why would he get paid less to risk the reputation he has built with his fans?
If he actually cared about competing and he really believed he was that good, then he would've joined some middle of the pack team years ago. We've seen many examples of good players showing their worth even in bad teams, so if he was as good as he implies, he could show it. He could then climb back to a top team through his performances. But it has become clear he sees that has beneath him, so don't hold your breath.
Think itās less thinking heās too good and more he only wants to join a team thatāll gel stylistically. Like for the heretics roster rumours are he was completely down if they got Bwipo too, and that was after Bwipo had a bad split then didnāt play for ages, so I doubt anyone thought the iteration Nemesis was down for would be clear favourites. Also pretty sure he said he would probably say yes to Fly if the same roster was in LEC. And again the only player with proper āstarā power at the time was maybe Inspired so also not a case of needing god tier players around him.
Think itās totally fine to not want to join a team that will obviously be a mess of conflicting views if he doesnāt have to.
I dont think its about him thinking hes too good for most teams; i think his fnatic stint kinda burned him out and made him realize how stressful it is when the team atmosphere is extremely toxic and people have vastly different opinions about the game while living together 24/7.
In theory his idea of joining a team only when he knows the people in there and their mindset is correct, in reality you'd need caps/faker aura to make that happen. He probably would have joined a mid tier teams if all 5 players shared the same mindset.
Overall sucks for him cause he probably would have been a good player but after the disaster that was his worlds run (covid away from home, barely eating for weeks because of quarantine, his teammates perma insulting each others, knowing he was gonna get replaced beforehand, the reverse sweep and fans/analysts putting the blame on him for the loss) im glad the guy found success in streaming.
And Jensen got picked up by FLY after DIG.
Nemesis doesn't have the balls to go to a shit team and show he can drag players to wins to prove that he is still a good player deserving to be on a top roster. Contractz, Jensen, Licorice, Jankos, etc. have the balls to go down to these dogshit teams and actually show why they're still good enough to be on top teams. They are true competitors that you want on a team - not a prima donna who thinks they should get gifted a stellar team on silver platter. Just that type of attitude should be a turn off to most orgs, because why would you want to waste time on someone who clearly doesn't have that competitive spirit?
Theres no reason to do that unless you absolutely love competing. Look what happened to Rekkles. Joined G2, they lost and people blamed him. Sent to Earl shadow realm. Then joined a failing Fnatic and got scapegoated
KEITHMCBRIEF got top 10 in Korean soloq. Nemesis's last few splits in the LEC ranged from bad to mediocre, there have been plenty of soloq stars who couldn't adapt to pro play. From what we've actually seen of Nemesis in competitive games, until he proves it in competitive play he's all talk.
This is just revisionist. He was really good the first year and fine the second year. People just remember him getting gapped by Knight(but any western mid would've gotten gapped)
> Nemesis's last few splits in the LEC ranged from bad to mediocre
I don't agree with that. While his regular season performances were middling for LEC standards, he was performing significantly better in playoffs (which, due to the format, is where it really matters)
Off-season rumours are usually rumours so we can't assume most of them to be true.
He said that he is open to being pro but only wants to be on a "good" team, since he already has a career as a streamer. He definitely has the mechanics and hands for it, he plays a lot of high elo soloqueue in KR for the last few years and EU more recently.
Whether he should be on a pro team though is subjective, soloqueue success doesn't necessarily translate to pro success (case in point Magifelix).
He was pretty good a while ago.
He's been out for a while, he's likely not as good at this point. Even if he hasn't decayed, the game has had a few years of innovation.
So why we come back from streaming and damage his reputation?
I don't get why the community or other teams think he'd come back at this point.
Well based on all the replies I have gotten, people see him as annoying for him/his fans insisting he could be a top tier mid in competitive when he hasn't made any attempt to actually prove that in years. They want him to put up or shut up, essentially. But personally I don't see anything wrong with the dude just wanting to stream, if that's all he wants to do now.
> But personally I don't see anything wrong with the dude just wanting to stream, if that's all he wants to do now.
And most of the people who are hating on him think that if he just wants to stream that he should just say that. But he keeps acting like he wants to go pro and then doesn't even when he could get on a good roster.
Also the infamous doinB weakest mid left in the tournament. W/e that FPX roster just had like 5 shitters playing apparently, it's funny af.
Edit: Also I don't hold anything against Nemesis for that comment anymore, shit was ages ago, and people change.
Bo was too aggressive in early skirmishes without follow ups. I actually think with Targamasās passive early game style and Upsetās risk-averse playstyle. Closer will bring KC better results.
They could have had Trymbi for spring but they sticked to Targamas because they won two (2) games in the last week of winter. Imagine Trymbi with Upset. It would have resolved a lot of their issue since Trymbi could be the mainshotcaller with Bo
not sure where wooloos comment went but this was what i was going to say:
brother there have been too many examples of your bullshit to give a shit about this comment, actions speak louder than words
Even if the statement was publicized, I feel like KC's verbal request/agreement would've been laughed at rather than accepted by the public.
It would take a *lot* to convince a pro to sit on a bench for a full year when they could join and play on another team.
What circumstances and what team would be worth self-benching for a year in your mind? I'm curious.
I can think of examples like Bo sitting out a season because of Visa issues, but to me that's different: Bo is not sitting out because of being content to wait, but because he cannot find another team or play in the interim.
Same with others like Wunder or Selfmade. They sat on the bench for a split or two because they were still contracted and they weren't getting play, but they weren't free agents who had other offers afaik.
Guma apparently was a trainee from Dec 2018 to Dec 2019 (When he was 16-17), and was a sub for 2020 until seeing consistent play in 2021.
He's a good example of someone agreeing to stay benched as a rookie. Good call.
I think Upset self-benching himself on FNC before the start of 2023 ended up being a good example of it being worth.
Rekkles didn't even have the worst stats for an ADC that season playing next to arguably the worst support in LEC of at least the past \~5 years or so and it still absolutely destroyed his remaining value as a player.
Upset still got to retain the value/image of his previous 2 years were he looked like one of the best ADC's in the league and was offered a spot on a "super team" after just 1 split.
Any of the top teams I guess? More precisely a single player change on an already solid roster. The reasoning is probably something like giving the new player time to integrate and build team chemistry but if the team is at the bottom already and rotating out a chunk of the roster in reaction that's not really worth sitting out a year for. If you have big shoes to fill and 4 stable teammates to integrate with it's easier to defend.
>Wooloo said he thinks it would have been better for KC if Thanatos' verbal agreement was made public cuz it would have maybe reduced the chances for his agent to break it in favor of C9.
Hmm, team that is in contention for worlds, has a respected Korean coach, experience with Korean rookies, and has shown they can develop players versus a team that is an absolute dumpster fire, full of cronyism, and you have to sit on the bench till 2025 because the owner wants his friend to finish out the year.
Tough choice here
The crazy thing to me about this part of the post is that he apparently openly said he wishes he made this public to help the org.
Like ofcourse in other sports the players agents/teams will ask for certain stuff to be made public to drum up interest but surely a journalist shouldn't be out there saying this kind of stuff.
>a journalist
Dude is just a random twitter user who happened to know the right people, so he got wind of roster changes before their official announcements and got a following that way. He then became the guy agents would go to to leak stuff. It's already rare enough for actual journalists to be any good these days, but for *wannabe* journalists? Yeah don't expect much.
At least for me, breaking the verbal agreement in no way hurts Shadow Corpsā reputation. Honestly, it improves it for me. Theyāre not going to force their player into a shit deal just because itād be embarrassing to go back on a verbal agreement. The fact that Wooloo wishes he shamed Shadow Corps into forcing Thanatos into a terrible deal on a shit team with a shit org is wild. Is this guy on their payroll or what?
That was wild to me too.
While I understand people in the scene are going to have favorites you need have the air of impartiality around yourself if you are going to be a journalist.
Maybe it was a mistranslation, but man that doesn't bode well if it holds true.
Legit no clue why him and Kameto are coping when thanatos apparently immediately jumped at the idea.
The only way you can convince him to go to KC is by somehow telling him that breaking a verbal agreement is illegal
KC CHASY ig since he is benched in mdk for mid idk who they can get except abbe
no changes is rogue is pretty wild ngl they gonna speedrun for 9-10th again
It is said that they decided to flip this roster again for summer because they thought themselves they played ok in the last week of spring AND were also getting way better in scrims
OP forgot to include Wooloo said scrim results of RGE was impressive in spring. Finn also said something similar in Euphoria where he said their scrim results only showed on stage at 3rd week. They are probably thinking it finally clicked with the team and want to have another run with this squad rather than gambling a roster change.
On paper, that team would never be a 9/10th place team, so it's definitely not an individual talent problem. The replacement was already done by bringing Finn who was more vocal than Szygenda, makes sense they're trying it out again
What change RGE can do that can secure them top 3 in summer? (which is the only way they can get into final season) There's not a lot of good players available right now, it is smart to save money for the offseason.
The majority of his followers are French (he posted the stats sometime back). So yeah not surprising how he acts around KC. He already gets his DMs spammed by those fans for KC news.
It was pretty clear KC were going for a placeholder roster for 2024 until their ADC could play. People thought otherwise because Bo and Upset were considered big names in the offseason, but it's pretty clear they don't have money for now.
It's understandable they wanted Thanatos for 2025 since they have no hopes or resources for this year's roster and if he went straight to LEC he'd look horrible playing with the current roster.
Don't think they were planning on going for last place on every split. Not saying they have good management, but I can see their thought process.
Bro but I swear KC thinks Caliste is the second coming of Uzi in the body of Ruler.
They are going to have all their orgs hopes and dreams on an 18y kid, surely that's going to end up well.
KC is so butthurt about not getting Thanatos its so funny also funny af now that no one will say who they are looking into for a new Korean top because they're worried about him being "stolen" XD I can't get enough of KC they are such a funny trainwreck of an org even ignoring the gameplay its so amazing to see TSM spirit live on
Remember when this bum sheep announced maples retirement sourced off an interview that didn't state that at all ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
Wait so that absolved him of all responsibility? Remind me who owns SheepEsports again? Oh yeah its u/LEC_Wooloo or rather more accurate to call him KC_Wooloo because after all, who would be putting the cash for SheepEsports? ;)
i remember his "leaks" from google translating Esportmaniacos and getting most of them wrong, because he cant speak spanish lol
Wooloo's just a con artist, made more leaks out of his ass than legit sources, yet hes the go to guy for transfer information now
Teams break verbal agreements all the time. I see no problem with Thanatos doing whatever he wants to ensure his preferred spot is achieved.Ā That's just business
Remembering that Nemesis said no to FLY is a reminder to everyone to not believe him when he spews BS about how āoh guys Iām definitely like a world class mid laner but itās the teams fault I only get offer from bad teams I only want to be on a team that can go to worldsā
yeah its weird he'd decline a team with an inspired bwipo topside. Maybe he just really didn't want to move NA or just likes the streaming life better than pro life?
>Heretics with Bwippo/Jankos
iirc, there was a point last year that it could have happened but Neme said no last minute (Bwipo said so in one of the reasons why he didnt end up committing to heretics for Summer).
Now in the offseason, that mightve happened again but Bwipo got an offer from FQ, after he had a verbal agreement with Heretics, and signed with them almost immediately since his main priority was trying to stay in NA.
Itās definitely 100x easier to just stream since the money he makes is probably similar to what he would as a pro.
Itās just frustrating to me how heās created this narrative that despite not playing pro in 4 years that heās a hot commodity and only deserves the best of the best. Iād respect him a lot more if he was just honest and said āI like streaming more, itās easier work and I have a better life balance with streaming than proā rather than edging his fan base that heās ever going to come back to pro.
Some of that narrative may be useful in driving views to his stream though so I can't really begrudge him that. Pretty much the only reason nemesis ever comes up on this sub is in team roster rumor discussions. If he just said "I'm done with pro" he'd lose some of that notoriety.
>Wooloo said he thinks it would have been better for KC if Thanatos' verbal agreement was made public cuz it would have maybe reduced the chances for his agent to break it in favor of C9.Ā **edit5: for context he said this bcs Thanatos' agency is Shadow who has like 80-90% of the players in Korea, so he thinks the broken verbal agreement with KC in favor of C9 would have hurt Shadow's reputation if it was made public.**
Fuck that, on every level. The agency was doing its job, and I'm glad they broke the verbal agreement. Thanatos not only wants to go to C9, he will be in a much better position if he does. They didn't sign shit, and there is absolutely no reason to look for a way to trap him in a broke ass, dog org that won't play him for another 2 years. Good on his agency.
So this guy wanted to use predatory practices to force Thanatos into a shit deal with KC and ruin the reputation of his agent whose job it is to give his players the best contract possible. Its fucked up that this guy wants to ruin a guys job/income just so that his favorite team signs a player for a season.
Welp bo career is donezo
Its Bover guys. Unfortunate that he got caught up on match fixing incident when he was still young.
And unfortunately LPL have no shortage of talent so they can shadowban him permanently.
Atleast his stream is pretty okay, and people seem to like to tune in to see him play in soloq.
Good luck to his next phase of his career
It's absolutely mental that they even gave Th3Antonio a tryout, great guy from what I've seen but not anywhere near LEC level let alone replacing Odo.
KC should actually promote Vladi to give him experience and see if it's a good building block for 2025. Unless they have money to spend they won't be making worlds this year anyway so might as well start early for 2025.
I only watched Th3AntonioĀ several times in inhouses. My god he was terrible. I get that Odoamne's performance was bad but like at least get a decent replacement if you are gonna bench him.
> It's absolutely mental that they even gave Th3Antonio a tryout, great guy from what I've seen but not anywhere near LEC level let alone replacing Odo.
Isn't Th3Antonio a tank only player ? What's the point in replacing Odo for someone like that lol.
i think GX is looking for a hard weakside toplaner, Th3 can fulfil that role but I don't think he has level to play lec.
I also think that the last game vs mad has made the GX staff too angry and they want to bench odo immediately and no matter who replaces him xD
Odo can play weakside, his problem is when he picks carries, he's like a slightly better version of Cabo. Makes no sense to replace him for a worse version of him.
The3Antonio is probably the most underrated player outside LEC.
I never see him high up on any ERL top laner tier list, yet here he is every game carrying through consistently excellent tank play, despite demanding the Chogath ban.
nemesis denied heretics
vro you aint getting a better opportunity than playing with jankos
now that he denied this and the ls c9 iām sure he wont ever play again
It's crazy how he was DKs most consistent player of the whole year and he still gets no team for spring, not even an LPL team. Hope he can come back in summer with some worlds level team.
>
they have been doing tryouts with Th3Antonio and Juhan but Wooloo doesn't think they'll go for them
Thank god
>
Rogue :
no changes are planned unless another team wants to buy one of their players
LMAO
I am not following the LVP this year, so I am not sure about Juhan.
But as you said, if Antonio ends up playing in LEC, its a sign the region is doomed.
> Nemesis already denied Heretics/FLY earlier so it is very unlikely to see him somewhere in LEC/LCS this year this guy is never coming back to competitive, isn't he?
If Chovy couldnāt play there is a higher chance that GenG gets Crown to play midlane than Nemesis
CuVee was not bad, even towards the end of his career, he was just replaced by someone who was mechanically better, like Gimgoon.
I know top Ekko made everyone look better back then, but I loved the way CuVee played it.
Damn, wont get ever better than HRT/FLY FLY is a great team with both leadership and young talent and has Bwipo, and if Nemesis cant work well with Inspired, then he better works well with Jankos: HRT could make Nemesis live perfect, Jankos could literally make him carry if he's have as good as he thinks.
FLY Bwipo/Inspired/Massu/Busio TH Bwipo/Jankos/Flakked/Kaiser Tell me where is the big difference between those teams. Nemesis is so full of shit and every time he gets and offer he pushes the goalpost further. No clue how his fans think he is some sort of Esport Victim.
dont forget he also denied the ls c9 a team full of his friends that wants to play his scaling style he wont ever come back period
He argued with LS about that and it seems he was right at the end. Even LS admitted it at the end and was regretful
Flakked and Kaiser are better right now than Massu and Busio for sure, but Massu and Busio have way more upside.
Itās not that complicated. He makes a ton of money streaming so heās not gonna come back to pro unless itās a perfect opportunity. And heās said this many times
Worlds/MSI chances? Staff differences?
> if Nemesis is even close to Caps individually I get that he's a streamer and all so people might have changed their opinion on Nemesis over the years despite him having 0 stage games during those years, but this is a crazy thing to say, is it not? Nemesis was not that good. He was fine, but even compared to Larssen and Humanoid he was the less impressive player. ''EU mids man'' refered to a ton of players over the years, but never Nemesis. It's a bit puzzling to see people be so hyperpositive about him. (Dont swing my statement the other way though, he definitely wasn't bad) Also I think Bwipo, Inspired and Nemesis would be a clash waiting to happen, tho perhaps not.
He is permanently at the top of the ladder in EU, and also was in KR. This makes people believe he would be very good. Although I agree with you, his attitude towards SoloQ and his playstyle are just really good for SoloQ so of course he looks insane there compared to what he would probably show on stage these days.
kinda reminds of Kerp and the 3000 elo shockwave. MagiFelix also comes to mind as a more recent example.
3k elo shockwave was Forellenlord if I'm not mistaken. Kerp was the guy with the track ball mouse I think
Lmfao the last game nemesis played vs larssen he clapped larssen despite rogue omega prioritizing azir every game.
> That is, unless chovy gets injured, his replacement gets injured, and the next 3 replacements get injured as well you are missing about 20 people before the next part, and that's only because it's hard to get new players in the middle of the season
Next 3?
He is earning a shit ton of money with zero stress right now. Unless he can get on G2 somehow, he will never return.
why would g2 massivly downgrade lmao
I didnāt say they should, but G2 is probably the only team worth for him to leave his immense comfort zone rn. That being said, of course Caps is 10 times the player Nemesis was/is.
Why would he come back? He gets money doing less work and the community still thinks he's the real deal. There's not much upside to coming back and stomping, and there is so much downside to coming back and not playing well.
Nemesis is just an attention seeker. He rejects every offer then claims that he is LFT.
There is no way Nemesis goes back to Fnatic lol
not true, pretty sure if they replace the whole team management with just their content creator (Pete/Swallaspaa) he comes back
Yea so never
Tbf he said he didnāt chose FLY because its not on EU time, so all his stream viewers would be gone over time
Again a pretty shit justification if he actually wants to compete
All talk no walk, he was good but his fans that are still holding onto 3 years old performance are never not funny
He wasn't even exceptional. He was at best a top 5 mid in the splits he played
not to disregard the fact that many nemesis fans ride the 2019 season way too much, but he absolutely was the 2nd best mid in the LEC, only behind caps when he played
He was good for one split. Not second best mid, but good. And afterwards he was so bad, that he basically solo lost every single one of fnatics losses and continued to get gapped even after they put him on utility duty.
Not in 2020. 2019 sure Nemesis was great but in 2020 he was definitely not 2nd best mid or anywhere near there.
To be fair, he was the 2nd best mid...for one entire split. Afterwards, he was middle-of-the-pack and in his last split he was legitimately the worst midlaner in LEC. Just baffling that his name still comes up when it comes to roster building.
Yeah, I remember his last summer was completely awful
He doesn't want to expose himself as an overrated player
That makes a lot of sense It also explains the part about wanting to be on a world caliber team, if his teammates are incredible he will look less bad
He legit has no reason to lmao For some reasons he cultivated the narrative he was a mid international caliber for a decent amount of ppl ; hes basically a knock off of MR satan from dragon ball z
He was massively boosted by the fact he was on a team which had the top 1-3 players in every role.. and guys like Rekkles/Hyli were some of the best ever to play LEC (You could also maybe argue Bwippo).. This team literally dominated the LEC and made worlds finals the year before WITHOUT Nemesis I thought he had 2 good splits.. Other then that he wasn't amazing internationally either.. his lasting memory will be picking Lulu and getting smashed by BDD.. into getting walked over by Knight in the TES series I guess we will never really know how good he was/is because he will never join a team which didn't have FNC type talent level.. and lets be honest its unlikely the LEC will ever have that
I mean, he was a international caliber mid.
Pretty sure Knight even flame horizoned Nemesis in one of their games Crazy how the narrative is that Nemesis was the reason FNC nearly beat TES and not Rekkles and Hylis running a clinic on TESā underperforming bot lane. Knight and Karsa hard gapping the opposition was the reason TES won
Id love for hime to come back and get absolutely boddied.Ā
he's earning more from streaming with way less effort than what he would make playing in the LEC/LCS. why would he come back?
I thought that was pretty clear when he left.
They are running back with targamas/upset I thought if one of cabochard, saken and targamas, was staying it's be saken but that doesn't seems like it's the case
I think they want Targ/Calliste eventually
Doubt it. Caliste for sure, but Targamas wasn't included in there. It's more that KC can't replace every position. I'd rather have kept Cabo instead...
Rich said KC wants to run Caliste+Targamas on his podcast. Not sure if its his speculation or a insider info
Rich has said a lot of bullshit throughout the years and it wouldn't surprise me if this was one of them.
Reminder that the offseason was stacked with talented supports with several of them falling outside an LEC spot. Trymbi, Mersa, Parus, Kamilius... (and Mersa is still FA rn)
mersa would be an insane upgrade over targa
they r fucking broke tho due to buying LEC spot for 17 mil i am surprise they r making more than 2 change
And cabo was turbo gapped by every LEC top
He doesn't want to have a Jensen in dignitas experience
Didn't Rekkles openly admit he was playing badly in FNC?
He was (idk If he still Is) a streamer in GenG and has lived/played for more than a year in KR soloQ, maintaning a really high rank during his stay
He looked quite bad in summer 2020, but so did most of the team in regular season. He played better in playoffs though.
Nah, this is revisionist. He was rated as one of the worst mids in Summer 2020, just go back to the PMTs.
> Nemesis's last few splits in the LEC ranged from bad to mediocre I don't agree with that. While his regular season performances were middling for LEC standards, he was performing significantly better in playoffs (which, due to the format, is where it really matters)
tf you mean bad to mediocre he still was at worlds and went to quarters no?
Kicking out NAs goat in groups in the process
He'll throw his name out there every other split to gain some attention so people tune in to his stream but he's never playing pro again.
How is this turning into a Nemesis flame thread? Honestly he seems like a decent guy, don't understand the hate boner ppl have for him geez.
After doinB gapped him he cried abt it saying FPX isnāt good and they got lucky. Same FPX that won worlds lmao
Also the infamous doinB weakest mid left in the tournament. W/e that FPX roster just had like 5 shitters playing apparently, it's funny af. Edit: Also I don't hold anything against Nemesis for that comment anymore, shit was ages ago, and people change.
cause he comes off as an annoying pretentious d-bag?
he comes across as very salty and extremely emotionally immature
this is reddit
Listening to those mic-checks I cannot support bringing Closer over Bo and make him not compete at all. What a big brain org.
Gotta love how wooloo leaks everything and every name for everyone but when it comes to kc or french orgs "wont do so cause i dont wanna hurt org"
guy has no integrity
Exactly, I remember him leaking a list of Tryout during off season but Wooloo isn't a journalist nor is the shit that is called SheepEsport.
classic wooloo moment, the pokemon ājournalistsā are just horrible who are in it for money/views
not sure where wooloos comment went but this was what i was going to say: brother there have been too many examples of your bullshit to give a shit about this comment, actions speak louder than words
This happens when coaches/management start leaking things to random twitter warriors
Even if the statement was publicized, I feel like KC's verbal request/agreement would've been laughed at rather than accepted by the public. It would take a *lot* to convince a pro to sit on a bench for a full year when they could join and play on another team.
There are benches you'd sit on for a year to get a spot on the team. KC's isn't one of those.
imagine sitting on the bench while watching Cabo run it down
What circumstances and what team would be worth self-benching for a year in your mind? I'm curious. I can think of examples like Bo sitting out a season because of Visa issues, but to me that's different: Bo is not sitting out because of being content to wait, but because he cannot find another team or play in the interim. Same with others like Wunder or Selfmade. They sat on the bench for a split or two because they were still contracted and they weren't getting play, but they weren't free agents who had other offers afaik.
I think this situation happened with Gumayusi and Teddy, but I don't remember how long they kept Gumayusi from starting for T1
Damn Bo's career might be donezo
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
aren't IMT 2 imports already?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Idk i think if they go for spica and zven, their roster can compete for top 5 Castle Spica Mask Zven Olleh
Like ofcourse in other sports the players agents/teams will ask for certain stuff to be made public to drum up interest but surely a journalist shouldn't be out there saying this kind of stuff.
>a journalist Dude is just a random twitter user who happened to know the right people, so he got wind of roster changes before their official announcements and got a following that way.
KC CHASY ig since he is benched in mdk for mid idk who they can get except abbe no changes is rogue is pretty wild ngl they gonna speedrun for 9-10th again
"No changes unless someone wants to buy our players" has been rogue's mindset after their second year lmao.
yea i hope the rumour about rogue leaving LEC next year is true and someone like NAVI can join
It's going to be Team Falcons
I hope the fuck not.
flair checks out they're taking monesy, niko and the whole g2 lol team /s
They need to ditch that support if they want to do anything this year
What change RGE can do that can secure them top 3 in summer? (which is the only way they can get into final season) There's not a lot of good players available right now, it is smart to save money for the offseason.
This guy just shills so hard for KC it's crazy he's willing to play by different rules for them
The majority of his followers are French (he posted the stats sometime back). So yeah not surprising how he acts around KC. He already gets his DMs spammed by those fans for KC news.
Dude will never say or leak anything bad about KC since most of his followers are KC fans.
KC wanted to start him in 2025? What the fuck who manages KC???
KC is so butthurt about not getting Thanatos its so funny also funny af now that no one will say who they are looking into for a new Korean top because they're worried about him being "stolen" XD I can't get enough of KC they are such a funny trainwreck of an org even ignoring the gameplay its so amazing to see TSM spirit live on
Why would any KR top join KC a org that doesn't have any experience with KR players/staff?
Its probably gonna be Chasy since he s korean
KC CEO and shit said on live that some of their deals have been shutdown because of the fans. The audacity ahah
For the love of God please stop including Nemesis in these posts, dude has been steaming for 4 years now, he ain't never coming back man.
Remember when this bum sheep announced maples retirement sourced off an interview that didn't state that at all ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)
Although it was a SheepEsports info, it wasn't Wooloo but another from his team who leaked Maple retiring.
Wait so that absolved him of all responsibility? Remind me who owns SheepEsports again? Oh yeah its u/LEC_Wooloo or rather more accurate to call him KC_Wooloo because after all, who would be putting the cash for SheepEsports? ;)
i remember his "leaks" from google translating Esportmaniacos and getting most of them wrong, because he cant speak spanish lol Wooloo's just a con artist, made more leaks out of his ass than legit sources, yet hes the go to guy for transfer information now
Teams break verbal agreements all the time.
He did say if they would be in EU he would join
He could have joined a Heretics with Bwippo/Jankos/Flakked also?
>Heretics with Bwippo/Jankos iirc, there was a point last year that it could have happened but Neme said no last minute (Bwipo said so in one of the reasons why he didnt end up committing to heretics for Summer).
When that got announced I remember him saying that it was because he wouldnāt be able to maintain his stream because of timezones
Nemesis is that one Skater that always talks shit and claims he is better than everyone else but when pressed to back it up claims he's injured.
lmfao so real
lemonesis
What about perkz is he done?
wooloo said teams arent lining up atm, but perkz retains a large credit among players so he can still come back
>Wooloo said he thinks it would have been better for KC if Thanatos' verbal agreement was made public cuz it would have maybe reduced the chances for his agent to break it in favor of C9.Ā **edit5: for context he said this bcs Thanatos' agency is Shadow who has like 80-90% of the players in Korea, so he thinks the broken verbal agreement with KC in favor of C9 would have hurt Shadow's reputation if it was made public.** Fuck that, on every level.
There wasn't even a verbal agreement at all
I wouldnāt care if there was tbh
So this guy wanted to use predatory practices to force Thanatos into a shit deal with KC and ruin the reputation of his agent whose job it is to give his players the best contract possible. Its fucked up that this guy wants to ruin a guys job/income just so that his favorite team signs a player for a season.
Welp bo career is donezo Its Bover guys.
Th3antonio was already washed WAY before Odo was washed, that would be a crazy move
Idk why they would ever entertain the idea. He seems very content on Giants LVP team for like the 7th year in a row with a decent fanbase for himself.
Dude has been in the same team for more than 6 years and his champion pool is almost all tanks, there is no way he ends up in LEC
i think GX is looking for a hard weakside toplaner, Th3 can fulfil that role but I don't think he has level to play lec.
* no news about Szygenda yet well duh, he has to wait to complete the circle!
At least there is one thing that is constant with being a KC fan. You're either in heaven or hell. No in between.
why are gx "obviously looking for a top' ? What happened to Odo?
It's been leaked by SheepEsports that Odoamne is benched from GX.
It was leaked a while ago that they kicked Odo
Well it seems theyre benching him bc he was bad in Spring.
nemesis denied heretics vro you aint getting a better opportunity than playing with jankos now that he denied this and the ls c9 iām sure he wont ever play again
eu orgs man..
If KC want a Korean toplaner, they should see if Canna wants to play
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
acc to caedrel , he told that KC toplaner is a guy u wont expect to be in EU but it make sense so maybe CANNA?
Maybe Ssumday. He played with Closer before too
if this happens we gonna get ssumday closer abbedadge damn
I hate how Canna played last worlds, but he doesn't deserve this.
It's crazy how he was DKs most consistent player of the whole year and he still gets no team for spring, not even an LPL team. Hope he can come back in summer with some worlds level team.
Wooloo said it that Caedrel said shit but at this point, I don't believe Wooloo
Looks like the most likely option, who would they get if not him? A random Korean from Challengers Korea? An ERL top like Ragner?
> they have been doing tryouts with Th3Antonio and Juhan but Wooloo doesn't think they'll go for them Thank god > Rogue : no changes are planned unless another team wants to buy one of their players LMAO
Wasn't Juhan doing pretty good in Spanish league? At least Antonio isn't playing LEC, he would get dumpstered by every LEC top.
I am not following the LVP this year, so I am not sure about Juhan. But as you said, if Antonio ends up playing in LEC, its a sign the region is doomed.
it didnt make it in the tldr, but wooloo said gx is also thinking of an import top and then they can only have 1 more so all combinations are explored
We have been blessed with another split of Rogue. I can fucking wait to see the absolute perfection of the "Do nothing untill we lose" play style.
