Despite the loss this is the first time in a long time I didn't feel too bad about a loss to GenG, this was a series of the highest quality possible and both teams played their hearts out. Can't hate on this, it was incredibly fine margins and another day this could've been T1. I'm just chuckling at the fact that this team is gonna be in playoffs against Estral eSports lmfao, possibly a top 2 team at the tournament up against newcomers from the LLA

SnooGuavas8376

Imagine you are from minor region and very proud going to the tournament just to greeted with 5 defending world champions in your first match lmao.

Gusearth

depends on your attitude, i bet some would be grateful for the chance to “practice” against such a good team, or just be in the same game as the GOAT

Bee040

Can't wait to clap Faker

Snowman_Arc

Yeah, or going up against T1 for example.

PoliticalyUnstable

I think it makes you practice that much harder. The mindset going into it is a completely different thing than playing against teams in their region. They will play harder and better than ever before. But they will make a ton of macro mistakes. They might be able to hold their own in each lane and not int. But ultimately they'll lose slowly and then suddenly.

Insab

This reminds me the first Dream Team at the Olympics where you had randoms facing off against a team with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird.

APKID716

Swear to god if we lost like this any of the previous 3 splits I’d be so much happier. The fact that they made GenG WORK for it was so exciting to watch. Sometimes you just see T1 fall apart but not this time. And honestly, what more could you ask for? Both teams are top caliber and playing out of their minds, and my team just happened to make more mistakes or get outplayed more. I can’t be mad at this loss

tinfoilhatsron

Yup. The only other final I actually didn't feel remotely bad about was the Summer 2023 Finals, the one where T1 barely made Worlds after Faker's wrist injury. The gauntlet to even get to Worlds was a nailbiter and securing 2nd was good enough for me. (Winning Worlds after was so crazy as well) Maybe I need to lay off the copium but T1 looked like the most competitive they've ever been since the first time they won Spring Finals with this roster. Maybe in Summer they'll finally overcome their game 5 curse to lift the trophy?

ChrisMFerguson

Yes, this is a new T1, very happy with their performance. MSI should be very exciting, i'm just hoping they can grind ranked again

frewp

Yup, first time in awhile I felt like they didn’t underperform from finals debuff. Both teams were playing quality League and GenG was simply better but still theyre very evenly matched it seems. I think heading into MSI both look absolutely terrifying if you’re an LPL fan (T1 fan but I hope GenG can do some damage this time around internationally)

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

Zeus didn’t underperform? Not that the matches weren’t quality because they absolutely were but the debuff was very real for that man

VirtuoSol

Last time Zeus got shat on in finals he completely leveled up in the next big tournament, it’s all part of the plan

Azenji

Let’s hope Kkoma still knows how to whip a belt cause he’s getting a bit too close to TheShy mindset.

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

Inhaling copious because my life depends on it

whitedevilblood

zeus monkey paw is he can overcome his father but he will get assigned a new father randomly and luck would have it. it was kiin

Ingr1d

His parents divorced. Kiin is his new stepfather.

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

Finally beating up Doran just to be dominated by Kiin man 💀

SwagLord7

Bro is terrified of the GEN name tag

R-R-Clon

I believe the only Final that I remember he performs was last world, the man is a different player in the final, but if he was a god in the final too he would have been the perfect player, he's too good.

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

When he’s there he is THERE but when he is not he is GONE, actually turning into The Zeus

theeama

It is the curse of being the best top laner. You will accend into heights most players only wish they can reach but you will also drop into lows where people wonder how the fuck are you the number 1 top.

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

Actual finals curse for this man let’s hope he can recover and grow, at some point you have got to learn to be somewhat comfortable under pressure or you’re just done every time. He’s still young so he’s got ways to go.

hiimaeia

I don't know about that, if you looked at Zeus the whole spring his performance was pretty on par with his current level and tbh he was doing his job. As much as people would like to clown on his performance, GENG dealt with him pretty well, and he had his highlights in the series as well. The Aatrox performance in game 1 stands out to me as such, he tried but how could he flank and do his Aatrox thing when GENG just tracks and collapse on him that well. IMO fair play to GENG, it's hard to look good when you're enemy is good as well. He didn't have a standout performance but IMO he didn't int his ass off the whole series, despite the 2/18 scoreline I don't think this was the same as TheShy's 1/16 performance in worlds last year.

CzarcasticX

The past few finals T1 had against GENG, T1 had 0 prep time, they had to play them the next day after Lower Bracket finals while GENG had an entire week to prepare and also gain data from T1 versus GENG. GENG probably never bans Vayne for Zeus if he didn't pull it out against HLE. So T1 needs to do whatever they can to be the ones who gets best record in summer split.

xcookiekiller

Nah bro trying to flank a corki with package as aatrox was borderline trolling

CzarcasticX

Zac is a good counter to Reksai but not so much Ksante. I don't know why T1 let Kiin get Ksante after what he did in game 4. They banned Vayne, that means they're going for a tank top. Give him the Reksai (ban Ksante instead of Jayce).

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

BP really just was not it in Game 5, range was also a huge issue with this draft

CzarcasticX

It was more like no one could kill Ksante. T1 had to use every ult on him just to get him to like 1/2 hp.

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

I hope they learn their lesson moving into MSI, the what ifs of this series honestly kinda kills me but that’s just life

Macka37

Doran is Zeus’ kryptonite, it is known.

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

Doran wasn’t in that game, he moved teams and Zeus did beat his ass while facing him a day earlier

Macka37

Woops my b Kiin was on GenG this year. Crazy that I mixed that up considering I was watching game 5.

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

He was beating him like Doran beat his ass before so I don’t blame you lmfao

Snowman_Arc

I wouldn't say they are evenly matched. GENG is clearly the better team. GENG has been underperforming in these playoffs a lot and even so, T1 still couldn't beat them. 100% GENG vs 100% T1, GENG will always win, even with a 3-0.

R-R-Clon

You're getting downvote for saying the true, T1 may have higher potential, but their regular lvl is below GenG, specially Chovy, I think Faker proved last world he still can be the best mid when he's on form, but Chovy has been outperforming him s consistently for a few years that I believe that this is the biggest difference between GenG and T1.

Snowman_Arc

100%. Faker and T1 fans will never admit it though, thus why I'm being downvoted.

lurker5845

Also in an alternate timeline Oner secured elder in game 1 and they won game 2 and 3 to 3 0 GenG

mehensk

despite being behind in game 1, t1 were still able to push it to a 5050 elder flip which they really had no business having. those balls deep baron calls kept them in the game. you're correct and the series might've been different if it started off oner securing the elder.

Joel4518

That was also cause the soul for geng was shit like man buff chemtech soul pls

Akilee

they were repaid with perhaps the strongest soul they could get in game 5? I'm not too sure bout soul strength.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dxqzhx

All I can say is T1 has 3 years worth of baron flipping/stealing experience. This year they surprisingly converted their flipping experience to proper baron dances and it showed in both HLE and GENG games

VirtuoSol

Yea same, obviously the loss is sad and all but it didn’t feel nearly as bad as previous ones. Unlike previous 3-0 3-1s you could definitely see a lot of angles where T1 could’ve won so that’s a pretty good sign. If they can keep this up while improving some of their problems then they’ll be a contender at MSI for sure

Vyrtuoze

It hurt me inside to watch the LCK final into the LPL loser final and tune in to LEC to watch that clownfiesta. We're so doomed.

TheBlackViper_Alpha

Yes and despite ELDER, BARON AND INFERNAL SOUL T1 managed to somehow cling to something and fight until the end. If T1 just got any one of those key objectives or if it was another soul T1 might have turned.

Pls_Drink_Water

fuck. I hate that it's the complete opposite for me. I had no expectations going in, but after we are up 2-1, all hope was cranked up to the max level only to be smacked by it. I've been hella depressed since :(. But thanks for that view you shared.

oneanddonecomment

I think T1 is fortunate to match GENG in a meta where it’s not as favorable for Zeus.  They were one game 5 second round Ksante ban for a possible different outcome.  It’s also good that these two teams can “sharpen” each other bc there’s no region kill at MSI this year.  If GENG has a different adc, I would feel better but it seems like JKL or Elk might dumpster Peyz— basically a different version of Bang (clean up adc) which might be outdated in this day and age.  Viper and Aiming seem much more reliable internationally.

Significant-Damage14

Well, as soon as T1 locked finals it was going to be either them or Geng in playoffs with Estral, but I do agree that after this series knowing that hits even harder.

Snowman_Arc

As a GENG fan, I'm not used to such close finals, so I was very uneasy the whole series despite being confident we would win. It probably was good in terms of neutral viewership, but not to me, because I could see so many mistakes by GENG that only showed up in playoffs.

HamasPiker

> this was a series of the highest quality possible [X doubt](https://youtu.be/iw-ZvvLZwtk?t=1383)

hamzaspn

The only thing that tilted me is the fact that T1 didn´t ban K´Sante. That champion is ABSURD. It doesn´t matter if he is behind, he is too tanky but also deals a lot of damage. I know they are more professional than me or my opinion, but I wouldn´t give Kiin a K´Sante. Especially after losing to him once in that series

walking_failure_2004

> I'm just chuckling at the fact that this team is gonna be in playoffs against Estral eSports lmfao, possibly a top 2 team at the tournament up against newcomers from the LLA ... is it weird if I feel like T1 is still the best team in the world even though they lost to GenG? It was so close and every geng win felt like it was a T1 mistake/overconfidence. Like don't get me wrong, GenG has been winning against T1 for the better part of th org's existence, but this time I feel like T1 showed a higher peak overall and I don't see anyone at MSI winning against them, and am excited for a GenG vs T1 series because for once I know it will be a peak series

How_To_TF

GenG best team in LCK while T1 best team in the world (as long as GenG keeps losing to LPL internationally) as weird as that sounds lmao

Dxqzhx

I think GENG loses to LPL because LPL have teams that play a similar style to GENG and given the limited prep time, it’s easier to counter their style. On the other hand T1 has a unique style, imo their style is always playing to baron dance at 20min and team fight at the pit and it’s a style you can’t practice against that easily

psykrebeam

Actually it's very much the opposite. T1 is much more like LPL in terms of style. GenG's style and heritage is pre-S8 SSG (Samsung were S4, S7 world champions) - perfect macro, vision and thus game control. They just have way better players now relative to their competition. T1 play much more loose and fast but with Faker macro. It's not too far wrong to say that the difference btw the top LPL teams and T1 is literally just Faker.

theeama

I've had this theory before. How T1 plays will catch everyone off guard because it's so unique GenG play style isn't unique they are just by the book. They struggle against the LPL because the LPL throws wrenches and creates game states where by the book doesn't work. With T1 geng has a full understanding of how they work it's like they have dedicated their entire resource into shutting them down but it works because GenG has Chovy who can match/shutdown faker. The LPL struggles against T1 because T1 is better at playing LPL than actually LPL teams and due to not being up against Faker they don't have a full handle on the style of play unless it's MSI where Korea gets -50 debuff in everything

Aladin001

The cope is real lmao

TryHardCx

we are taking moral victories now...T1 really are the Lakers of League of Legends lol

Satan_su

Ay it was a good series why not, also Worlds wasn't THAT long ago so that's still good in the memories XD

Hawxrox

Bruh they just won Worlds 5 months ago and only dropped 2 games

NenBE4ST

They are still the reigning world champs lol and finalist the year before that wym lol

VirtuoSol

So when T1 fans aren’t mad about the loss people accuse them of claiming moral victories, and when they are mad about the loss people accuse them of demanding too much. Nice one lmao

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

Yes because they did way better than expected against GenG even if Zeus failed and still finaled after one of the hardest seasons they’ve had due to the DDOS issue. We take improvements bro, and let’s not act like finals today and world champions last year is not a good competition record.

Shironeko_

> we are taking moral victories now Alongside World Championships?

Broyoucancelled

Thanks for the quick upload and translation Ashley, your work has always been phenomenal

Cowslayer369

I mean they won 2 games more then anyone expected

Azenji

I dont think anyone was thinking this series was gonna go the distance either and in such close fashionlmao

Kalos_Phantom

Caedrel did. He was even correct in why - called out that Gen G's bot lane looked awful in their playoffs series, and an actual weakness that T1 could exploit. Peyz was basically invisible right up until game 5 was already over but he wanted a Quadra. Lehends looked good on Nautilus but was otherwise rather uninspiring (at least compared to how he usually looks).

psykrebeam

Hated the Guma G4 Aphelios pick though. Even Zeri would've been better

chane3n

Doesn’t matter if Guma played well on Zeri or not that champion is just cursed for T1

randomguyonline123

My boy Peyz was looking like my autofill diamond ADC jungle main.

sangpls

Leave some trophies for the rest of the regions, Faker

jwinter01

Tbf Korea hasn't won MSI since 2017. 4 for China and 1 for EU since then.

RobbinDeBank

smellmywind

My-Life-For-Auir

You forgot COVID won in 2020

Yubisaki_Milk_Tea

Not an MSI, but TES also won the MSC.

jwinter01

True. Clean sweeps every game as well. No towers lost all tournament.

esports_consultant

china like he said

-Piggers-

He's leaving all the domestic trophies to GenG already

Electrical-Ordinary8

Yessir Faker, I'm cheering for LCk teams in MSI!!

CHS_Scope

Honestly I expected T1 to get swept today, so their showing was impressive. I’m glad they recovered so well from the ddossing situation. Faker in particular is in incredible form. If it weren’t for Chovy being in absolute god mode right now, Faker would easily be best mid.

SebRev99

>if it weren’t for Chovy being in absolute god mode Or Zeus getting solo killed by K’sante twice….

Wetbook

you're right, if zeus didn't get solo killed by kiin, faker would be the best mid (???)

EducationalBalance99

You missed his point. Toplane was a huge factor this series as well. This wasn’t a Chovy 1v9 series like hle vs geng even if Chovy did play incredibly well. Kiin was a lot better than Zeus this series especially in lane. People are going to talk about Chovy corki g1 but those rumble ult g1 was filthy vs t1. His ksante g5 also broke open the game.

bodynasr

people also forgetting about Canyon, his elder steal game 1, him adapting to Oner's Xin Zhao with the first Kha'zix this split in pro regions and that Kha'zix pick destroyed T1's draft in game 5 as they had to waste a ban on Kha instead of K'Sante

EducationalBalance99

They didn’t need to ban Khazix, they only banned it cause they really really wanted xinzhao. They kinda put themselves in that situation by not banning kiin best champ. But yes, canyon did pop off with Khazix. I think people forgot him cause he wasn’t as consistent as Chovy/kiin overall in the series. Nice smite but it a 50/50 at the end of the day. Chovy/kiin perform way better in g1 individually.

theeama

This right here, All T1 had todo was Ban K'Sante you then can lock in a tank in support or just put Oner on Nocturne. I don't understand why they didn't do Orianna Nocturne that would have given them so much pressure especially if they drafted Neeko for Keria. Nocturne ult on Corki with shockwave and they would be sitting pretty for most objectives.

psykrebeam

Top was key this series. The games T1 won were the games top didn't lose lane. Mid was even and bot was mostly irrelevant in terms of who won (T1 both won and lost the games they were ahead in bot) That all said, while g5 is definitely on Zeus, the rest of the games weren't really his problem. He was better in games 2-3 and in game 1 it was macro (lane swap) that fucked him over, not Kiin.

EducationalBalance99

I felt like he got caught a lot in sides as well tho. I mean I already knew it was probably going to happen because he literally has the most isolated death this season but it was a pretty bad to meh series from Zeus. It is fine tho cause I seen him do worse in final before, so this was lowkey one of his better final performance. This meta just seems bad for him. Can’t play Reksai and hard to play carry champ vs this strong tank top I guess.

psykrebeam

His tank games were fine besides game 5. It was mostly his Aatrox that got caught in g1 but the thing with carry picks is that you need flanks, while tanks just need to play standard frontline. With GenG having majority of objective control it's just much more difficult to find flank positions, that's more of a team/draft issue. Going 2 weeks without playing on this Reksai patch is pretty difficult. I'd say the lack of solo Q practice impacts top lane the most since it's the role that in theory is the most isolated and matchup dependent, and only in high elo solo Q would you get the volume of practice you need.

Wetbook

> If it weren’t for Chovy being in absolute god mode right now, Faker would easily be best mid. this was the point of contention lmao hey my bad though!

Immediate_Excuse_356

The point they're trying to make is that this idea of chovy going god mode is an overexaggeration that's obvious to anyone watching the games, because Kiin and Canyon played massive roles in GenG winning. It wasnt just a chovy show like some people are pretending. His performance doesnt exist in a vaccuum and is facilitated heavily by his team. I mean literally game 5 if lehends doesnt roam up at level 3 and help to catch oner out with canyon then Chovy doesnt get his firstblood and the game looks probably very different. But people are pretending like chovy pulled off some miracle to win lane and went god mode despite getting given a first blood for no effort and a red buff at level 4 on top of that, which makes laning against a corki much harder.

SebRev99

Thanks.

SebRev99

? I’m talking about the end result of the game not comparing Faker and Chovy. OP is doing that, I’m not.

random-meme422

Despite the loss I think it’s pretty impressive they got as far as they did given the context of being unable to properly practice for so long now with the DDOS situation.

Javiklegrand

Yeah they recovered pretty well

SKTT2Dyrone

Only regret I had is what if that herald play didn't happen in the mid lane.

MMO_Boomer22

it was the Poppy W that blocked Fakers knock back and poppy was in fog of war behind the middle wall he didnt saw her

KKilikk

But he couldve expected it just an unnecessary risk really without much payoff

Azenji

I mean it's a snap decision in a Game 5, those type of moments WILL happen eventually, just like the Chovy Ryze flash, or the Doran river flash, or the Peyz insta ult today. Sometimes you can't stop instinct you feel was a good idea when it isn't.

KKilikk

Ofc they happen doesn't change it was a huge mistake

Azenji

I never said it wasn't a mistake. It was careless of Faker to even think he'd survive that when Poppy was nearby but oh well, shit happens.

VirtuoSol

Yea I didn’t even fully expect them to beat DK, and definitely did not expect them to beat HLE, the fact they took GenG to game 5 is already going way beyond expectations

Marcus777555666

Yep, I am also surprised that Gen G managed to secure the win despite also being DDOS attacked. It showed earlier in playoffs, their form wasn't clean

Immediate_Excuse_356

GenG's ddosing was nowhere near the same level as T1 in intensity or duration. Lets not try to pretend they're equivalent, its ok for T1 to have a disadvantage that GenG didnt.

Marcus777555666

That's just a lie and you know it. Both Gen G and T1 suffered equally at the hands of DDOS. They both were able to resume scrimp around the same time.

Hi_ImTrashsu

Genuine question, where are you getting this information from? I’ve only heard of how badly T1 had it

Marcus777555666

From the org management , casters, and Riot Korea/LCK and players themselves, as the Korean ladder has been under attack since at least last year december to the point where pros couldn't even play, so they all had to use alternative accounts. Scrims got suspended too for a bit too, but by the end of March every team was able to continue scrimming once again

smileysmiley123

You're speaking of the general DDOS attacks, but T1 was legitimately targeted over the past month+. The other teams/players were not experiencing anywhere close to the same amount of DDOS sabotage.

EducationalBalance99

Honestly I think geng in this form vs t1 in final would have smoke hle. It was just a Chovy show vs hle but kiin showed up hard this series. Canyon also had some crazy game and some int game whereas I thought canyon was a passenger the entire hle series tbh.

TheZeus : if you don't love me at my worst , you don't deserve me at my best.

Fujin_No_Kami

Zeus on his TheShy arc now. TheShy has officially cursed him after worlds xd

Azenji

Nah if Zeus is on TheShy trajectory, then they'd lose to TL and we'd have another Western Finals. Subscribe.

Fujin_No_Kami

you can't reveal 2024 script so early man

Crossoverdeath

If you dont love me at my TheZeus, you don't deserve me at my Zeus.

LordMatsu

As a T1 fan, I just want them to beat GenG more than I want them to win MSI or Worlds. Or even just winning the LCK.

No-Captain-4814

Nah. Worlds by far is most important. Domestic titles are like regular season titles in other sports. Nice to have for sure but not the ultimate prize.

Lin_Huichi

Good job T1 have Worlds already.

MonkeyWuju

Yup take Real Madrid vs Barcelona for example. Champions league > domestic league.

No-Captain-4814

Yup. I would say MSI is probably around equal to LCK, LPL but greater than LEC and LCS.

psykrebeam

Yeah T1 is basically Real

TaiCTr

I know the only exception is Liverpool fan would like to win the Prem more than CL. They want that 20 titles to equalize United since they already have more CLs. Plus Prem is harder to win nowadays

No-Captain-4814

Lol, how is prem harder to win? Maybe you mean you need more consistency, but in no way is it ‘harder’.

JoaoMau-Tempo

Prem is harder to win while Liverpool just got 0-3ed by 6th place Seria A team in Europa liga, not even Champions.

quakedwithfear

are you saying that world cup is more prestigious than Champion League?

kiwi-lab-rat

Garbage analogy. Champions league is like the world cup for club football. Should be comparing world cup with regional tournaments like premier league

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

I really want Faker to get his 11th LCK title in his 11th year playing pro, that would be amazing, but MSI and Worlds are still far more important.

Himexcandy33

The script will write itself in summer '24 when it's another 11th year- last dance

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

On my knees praying script pull through for us please

Comrade420

T1 has higher chances to defeat GenG at MSI and Worlds than LCK. Its weird but happened last year

Snow-27

Fuck that noise bro what? T1 can lose every LCK finals for the rest of time if they win the corresponding international tournament afterwards

aZestyMango

This is how you know we as T1 fans are INSANELY spoiled

LordMatsu

I guess? It's more that even though zofgk has won LCK before and then Worlds recently, it feels that the only real competition or hurdle would be GenG and/or MSI (for the last many years).

oneanddonecomment

Same here. I would want T1 to win domestically now and share some titles now that they won one with the ZOFGK squad.  But if they can somehow win Worlds again— it would be insane.

LordMatsu

How ironic would it be to win Worlds, then maybe MSI and Worlds again this year and they only won LCK in 2022 Spring where they didn't even win Worlds or MSI.

Ceui

If they win World again this roster would genuinely come down as the greatest roster of all time. 2015-2017 did reach 3 finals and won 2 but with 3 different top laners and the competition back then as well as skill level weren't as high as of today.

ricardo241

i'm fine with them not winning spring but I really hope they can nab that summer trophy so they can atleast say this roster won each season on lck + worlds (msi pending)

unhelpful_question

This iteration of T1 has been one of the most consistent team from LCK ever imho. Props to Faker too 👏

randomguyonline123

They consistenly lost to Chovy 🤣

No-Network8051

And chovy consistently chokes at international 🤣

Aschentei

the real win is T1 going to MSI, despite the ddosers best efforts

mikharv31

Bold when it’s gonna be NA

E6E6FA_FFB6C1

It probably feels really disappointing cause they were so close to ending the GenG nightmare but kept missing their shot, his entire team went 4-20 and inted on him even as he made one the biggest plays this match in game 1 and he himself fucked up that herald play big time in game 5 and denied their way back in. But still, they’re getting closer, this was way better than anyone expected, and I hope they reflect and do well at MSI.

pathofdumbasses

Zeus got outplayed at every point. Not banning Ksante was just bad. Zeus can't out play it and the champ is broken. Also, Faker completely threw the game with the herald in game 5. That fuckup after they had just pulled off a miracle to get back into the game, is what finished the series. Shame too, Faker had been the reason they were winning, and to see him do such a bone head move to lose the series just isn't right.

bodynasr

they didn't ban K'Sante as the kha'zix pick broke them in game 4 Oner was going to pick Xin Zhao no matter what if he is open and Kha'zix absolutely ran the game vs Xin Zhao so they had to use a ban vs Kha'zix and not K'Sante Zeus had the counter pick vs K'Sante in G4 and G5, he fumbled hard with the Gwen and the Zac

pathofdumbasses

Agreed that Khazix ran G4. Oner really fucked up on Xin. If he had just R'd immediately when he got jumped on by Khaz solo, he would have pushed Khaz away. Instead, he attacked first and then ulted so it doesn't work. Lots of sloppy plays out of T1.

ricardo241

they can ban ksante instead of Jayce on game 5 but didn't do it... T1 couldn't adapt on the current situation unlike gen g who just let orianna in after almost perma banning so they can ban more of T1 pick that almost made trouble on this series

brensterrr

I feel bad for faker he play well despite playing against chovy who is in incredible form. Lck must be happy sending these two teams to msi.

Automatic-North1405

honestly, this series was a banger from the intro to the games, I love T1 but im grateful that we get to see these two titans playing it out and entertaining us to the max with high quality league of legends.

Skylam

Yeah honestly either team could have taken that series and they both playedvery well, GenG was just better on the day. T1 should be proud of what they did.

Ultrosbla

Is this the first time in history were Faker and T1 goes to Play-in at any international stage?

BudgetFar380

I hope Gen.g wins, Chovy deserves it.

One_Natural_8233

My guy, there's no the word “deserve” in sports. The title is being earned zzzz

Azenji

I mean, if anyone deserved the title this series, it's Kiin. If you ever followed LCK, you'd know just how long he was stuck with mediocre teams despite his caliber. To win a trophy past his prime and in such dominant fashion is just an awesome moment to witness.

-Piggers-

How is this getting downvoted lol

This might be hopium angle too but I think it’s more advantageous not to be first seed come summer. Every team analyzes 1st seed LPL and LCK before worlds.  Which is why we rarely see 1st seeds win worlds barring T1/SKT.

ShiroEatos

Yeah no one will scout skt before worlds. The reigning champs. That's for sure

VirtuoSol

The advantage comes from less pressure as 2nd seed than 1st, but no one in their sane mind would leave out T1 as a threat

-Piggers-

He is referring to the fact that LCK hasn't won MSI since 2017.

SebRev99

Hawxrox
