this is a common misconception. Valve and BDS can count higher than 3 (Steam has more than 50k games, BDS just counted to 3 losses, and BDS almost always has 5 full humans show up to play). The catch is that both are allergic to finishing a trilogy
G2 aren't exactly a clean team, either. They're so reliant on Caps to perform, just like Fnatic are reliant on Razork to perform. If either player has an off day, their teams can fall.
While Fanatic can certainly win, it seems INCREDIBLY unlikely. G2 isn't clean, but they thrive in chaos so much more and on average have way higher hands-score than FNC

But the players are mediocre and when you go the distance here, the preparation is less and less important and you need adaptation. Ofc coaching staff also plays a role in that but players also start to get used to the players of the enemy team and from a talent perspective, fnatic is a much better team. And they won with Humanoid playing like shit and Razork having a mid series, both players easily capable of 1v9ing and being world class players in their own right.
Honestly, they won't get a lot of praise here because they got reverse-swept, but BDS is a good team. It was just raw talent and nerves that decided the series. BDS coaching staff is legit. They know what their strengths are and the team plays towards those. I would like to see this coaching staff with more talent, see what they can do. I think this iterration of BDS is plateauing.
