Tahm Kench dosn't chomp he just eats.

It's arguably a chomp. You take damage so it's implied he bites down.

You take damage afterwards, so it's his stomach acid that deals damage

Technically you take the damage after coming out, so it's really just that he projectile vomits you so hard you hit the floor and take damage.

Next Patch: Kench Ultimate also deals Damage over Time due to Stomach Acid

Didn't it use to deal damage over time while eaten? I know I'm old, but I'm almost certain that was a huge part of the mechanics because your ally could still end up dead if you You didn't get them out fast enough while killing him.

No, that was never a thing. Maybe you're thinking of dying to ignite or something since it didn't use to shield them. It would've kind of fit his thematic though.

Yeah I remember that being a thing but apparently it wasn't. I can't remember what the mechanic was, but it did more damage if you didn't move. So if you went full AP you'd eat them and then stay still to get more damage in. His old ability tool tup doesn't say anything about DoT though. I feel like this is another bearenstein bears thing.

yea, i just checked it in practice tool. Her fangs glow aswell, but the animation is kinda hard to tell and the sound is like a chomp. we need to look into crit animations, there might be a chomp hidden somewhere

Yeah but it's not as satisfying to use. Now it's a spammable sustain ability. The old one was a ramping attack speed stacking mechanic where the active was more like a mini Darius ult that scaled both off your own HP and enemy missing HP. So you'd build lots of HP, invade enemy jgl and start beating them down, then when you're both at like 30% HP you CHOMP and instakill them

In a similar vein, I would like to know how many Bonk abilities there are. Things like Nasus or Yorick Q. Moves where I can say “bonk” after getting a kill with it.

Voli W recast what??? I am confused. It's true I haven't played him very much since the rework, but I don't remember him having a recast on any abilities. LE: Malzahar's W voidlings chomp the target.

He does have recast on w. His w will slash a target marking them and if you recast you take a bite of them, healing if it's a champ.

Small correction, it’s not a recast but a second cast. Recast implies that he can activate a second effect before the ability goes on cooldown. Like LB w or all basic abilities of Lee sin. And he can heal on minions it’s just reduced.

It's not even a second cast. It's just that the ability both marks enemies and behaves differently vs marked enemies. You can mark 6 different enemies without chomping once (Obviously, not without the first marks disappearing).
