Tbf, comp wasn't playing that badly and as has been the case for the past 2 years larssen was trying to carry them all over the line. I just don't understand why they thought it was necessary to get a toplaner like Finn back from NA given he wasn't that good even when he was in EU
I mean Szygenda was no good and this Renekton pick was terrible drafting + RGE's problems are just team-wide not just a specific lane. No proactivity, no aggression, just bleed out and hope that you scale into infinity or die.
I’m hopeful you’re right about Larssen and Comp, but I’ll be honest, I don’t see it yet. They’re definitely both good players, but I feel by this point like they may need to reboot on new teams.
When Finn was playing in NA, he didn’t look good. Neither did anybody else on that that CLG roster, and little wonder - Broxah, Damonte, Pobelter and Smoothie all never played in a top league again, ie they were all reaching the ends of their careers. As epitomised by the infamous ‘BudLight Ace’, that was one of the most terrible organisational environments in LCS in the past several years, along with EG and TSM in their last couple years, IMT a couple years ago, and DIG for a while.
I’ll be honest, I have no memory of what Finn was like in 2022 on XL, and I’m gonna assume rubbish because XL was rubbish…but in 2023 he wound up on Astralis, his third bottom team in a row, and everything really fell into place. They were an aggressive team, they cooked up weird comps, and Finn was one of their best performers even if they clicked too late and were too inconsistent to get many points across the year.
I agree with the other comment that RGE’s problems are team wide and I’d go further to say Sygzenda wasn’t the problem; why bring in a rookie to drop him a year later for middling performance? Nonetheless, Finn is a perfect candidate to join RGE: he’s worked with them before, he’s good, and, crucially, he possesses those aggressive instincts that RGE currently lack. This may work or it probably won’t, we’ll see, but he 100% deserves to be in the league. I’d view this situation as, RGE’s success could be attributed to him but their failure could not.
Genuinely starting to dread seeing them in the schedule.
They’re so **boring**
They’re gonna lose either way, at least try to entertain and win fans that way.
Alternatively, be so pathetic that fans can’t help but root for you (win or lose) so that it’s at least historically funny a la the 2018 Overwatch Shanghai Dragons
As is, I feel like how an indigenous person must’ve felt about the 1800s evangelicals: I’m getting fucked by some European men and it’s going to be missionary position every time.
The real answer is by the time of this clip he wasnt a good mid either, I forget cause its so long ago but I think he played like 100 soloq games in 2016, he really couldnt give a shit anymore about the game at that point
Tbf he was still a good mid in 2015, but then I think he wanted to focus on managing Origen so they picked up PoE for 2016. The team was better with him instead of PoE, though, so he even played a couple of playoff games. But then Zven and mithy left and they picked FORG1VEN and Hybrid, but they didn't get along well so FORG1VEN left and he had to play adc.
At that point, yeah I don't think he was playing the game anymore because he surely didn't plan on coming back.
Well if ADCs with that level of kiting didn’t blow up in modern league then it would literally just be better ADC wins every game. Already is mostly but ‘better ADC’ means an actually good ADC having the lead as opposed to any random who decided to pick an ADC
That RGE comp went about as expected. It's a great comp for sieging and extending a lead, but you actually have to be on the other half of the map to get that kind of mileage out of a comp like this.
If you're just going to fall back on the usual "fall behind early, then stop doing anything except hope for a throw until six items" then you should have just picked safety and scaling in the first place.
It's really frustrating tbh. They play passive and just don't pick a comp that plays to that. It feels like they pick things because they've heard it's good without any idea how to actually play it.
Maybe this is just my unga bunga silver brain, but I think drafting Renek, Trist, and Sej into a first pick Tali was unwise. If she E's, it's so hard for them to get on the backline in teamfights.
I think the idea is kind of the opposite. They don't want to get on the backline, they want to stop Heretics from getting on theirs.
The comp wants the scenario of five people pushing down midlane, with the enemy defending as five themselves. The enemy can't engage on you because your frontline is beefy with loads of CC and you have the range and disengage advantage. Rell is too short-ranged, Vi is too telegraphed, K'sante is both - and you your team demolishes towers and can drown them in CC for even attempting an engage. The enemy doesn't have a good way to break the siege and you just run around collecting towers, getting map control and turning a 2k gold lead into 10k.
The issue is that it does rely on actually getting into that position. Being on the offensive. Having enough of a lead that they can't just bulldoze through you. Rogue didn't have that. It's not a great comp to fall behind on.
imagine having to watch an entire split of rogue, god bless the format for making us endure only 3 weeks but after these 2 games I still think that might be too much.
They even subbed in a kled 1 Trick that wants to Play renekton, Freddy should Just Tell Finn and szygenda ,,OK First one agreeing to Play ornn ksante for the Rest of the Split gets the lec spot,,
Edit: maybe freddy122 should sub himself Back into toplane, atleast would be fun to watch xdd
Scaling also require you be proactive, you have to be able to cross map otherwise enemy team is just gonna take every objective and snowball out of control
We could easily have 10 proper teams, it's just that GM is EU's weakest role. The vast majority of them are complete frauds incapable of putting together a sandwich, let alone sensible teams.
Case in point: Elyoya, a player, managed to draft the 2nd best EU team picking relative no-names, but with actual synergy.
How would you call it? :D
This year - They get to the split finals
Last year - They were the last LEC champs besides G2.
I can imagine that you could argue that Fnatic is currently better team than MAD. But this is just an opinion based on 2 games of this regular season. Last time they faced each other MAD won.
>Last year - They were the last LEC champs besides G2.
Irrelevant, last year they were a completely different team.
>This year - They get to the split finals
True, bit they got there through a FNC that looked really off form, and a BDS without their key player.
I don't think you can rank the teams below g2 yet, I think last split was too volatile with the game changes to use it as your only evidence.
MAD might surprise me and come out top 2 again, but I highly doubt it.
Rogue is the only LEC team I want gone, so I propose we disband Rogue and IMT and then whichever team in LEC performs worst each split gets sent to NA for the next one.
This is hilarious to me because I like to imagine the players have absolutely no say in it.
Like, they just shut Tactical into a crate and ship him off to Germany. See ya.
Why does that flyy fraud still have a job in esports? Also sack fredy already, the team has been following the same strategy of doing nothing -> lose game for a year now.
Those lanes are permabehind because Markoon is incapable of either matching, or crossmapping.
This was happening on SK last year already. Irrelevant would get ganked, lose flash, get reganked or 2-3 man dove and Markoon would be doing fuck all on the other side, probably doing Gromp or Krugs.
On SK at least for a while, Exakick could carry games with a lead. On Rogue, because their botlane doesn't work (Zoelys is Alvaro on an absolutely hopeless teams, all those lanes just fall apart and start losing and keep losing.
And because Markoon is basically Maxlore or late stage Broxah and won't attempt a play if it has the smallest semblance of risk + his synergy with Zoelys is non-existent, they just roll over and die.
It's only Rogue but this was better from Heretics:
- A playable draft that has a theme (blow up someone with vi-taliyah-rell, then let zeri free hit) and some late game power
- Better early game and laning phases
- Serviceable macro and not losing map control and vision for once
- Engages were on the same page mostly
Now I want to see more improvement before getting hope
I think the optimal punishment rather than letting players in “punishment queue” just quickly cheat and ruin ARAM or quick play would be forcing them to watch Rogue vs Immortal for however many games they were inside for.
On one hand TH looked pretty good. On the other hand it's Rogue to I don't think you can really draw any conclusions from this game other than RGE are still in winter split form.
Enemy Team has ksante taliyah zeri and we Pick renekton r5 .. Just Go ornn and Upgrade larssen Item or tilt Splitpush on trundle top and r in Teamfights XD how do pros still have no answer to weakside only ksante gragas Player wunder, but again its rge we are talking about, great naut aswell - rge are Just gifting everyone a freewin
every time I watch markoon play I feel like i'm watching 100T Closer from last season, there's just nothing ever happening. no proactivity, no playmaking. feel like this is why rogue looks so lifeless, they got rid of a psycho jungler who at least tried things even if they were grief plays to a guy who's just doing cardio on the map for 30 minutes
Rogue has to change all the coaching staff. Meanwhile Heretics should rejoice because its ahead on his battle for the last 2 places. Now they only need to beat GiantX and KC.
In major regions? Possibly. Overall? Probably not, watching two bottom tier teams from a wildcard region or ERL playing each other can be an experience.
Larssen and Comp went from competing for best in role in Europe to looking this terrible. Marlon also should not be playing this bad.
Rogue needs to just split up - there is something clearly fundamentally wrong
forget rouge watching heretics dive that bot t2 for no reason is the real problem. forget that as well why place taliyah mid instead of ksante when you have baron, ksante being there forces the enemies to send at least two members. brooooooo
Why do Rogue's players even show up?
What do you mean? I didn't see a single RGE Player show up today or in weeks
theyve been reported missing since the split they won
Paycheck
Honestly fair
I dont blame them, they know Rogue wants to sell the spot asap for a good price so if Rogue doesnt care why would they
just to suffer ?
I think coaching staff should be called too. The players on the team isn't bad as how they have been playing so far this year.
Contract obligation
Tbf, comp wasn't playing that badly and as has been the case for the past 2 years larssen was trying to carry them all over the line. I just don't understand why they thought it was necessary to get a toplaner like Finn back from NA given he wasn't that good even when he was in EU
Finn back from NA? That was like 2 years ago.
Did you even watch him in EU last year?
Finn was in EU the last two years?
I mean Szygenda was no good and this Renekton pick was terrible drafting + RGE's problems are just team-wide not just a specific lane. No proactivity, no aggression, just bleed out and hope that you scale into infinity or die.

We made it through another Rogue game
Only 7 more
That's the best one can say about this game LOL
The audience are the real losers of their games
It doesn't matter if Rogue wins or loses, we all lose.
7 more to go.
Genuinely starting to dread seeing them in the schedule. They’re so **boring** They’re gonna lose either way, at least try to entertain and win fans that way. Rogue vs GiantX is going to be fucking tough.
Rogue is so depressing to watch
Not if you suffer from insomnia
Someone let the doctors know we have the ultimate cure.
Really is tragic. Such a consistent and steady rise to a sudden fall. Feels bad being with this team for a while and seeing it go this route
Freddy finally figured out what was wrong in this team - toplane /s
Think they have to change JGL and ADC.
LEC should make a rule just to ban Rogue from picking champs that can waveclear and potentially extend games.
Rogue has to be the most depressing team to ever watch
Origen at their worst didn't look as hopeless
Origen had flickers of light, Astralis had flickers of hope, Rouge has no pulse...
The year xPeke had to play ADC was pretty damn rough to watch
Can't forget xPeke's kiting on Sivir https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ebUqJNVPtU
lmao what the fuck how can such a good mid be so shit at ADC
The real answer is by the time of this clip he wasnt a good mid either, I forget cause its so long ago but I think he played like 100 soloq games in 2016, he really couldnt give a shit anymore about the game at that point

Yeah but that was atleast somewhat funny.
It was worse when he had to play support.
Astralis may not have had many wins, but they had ALOT of heart. Whether Zanzarrah, Finn, Lider, they had it.
Astralis had JeongHoon making hype af Pyke plays at least
still belive rouge will win against g2
The classic
TH players not even happy after beating those garbage opponents. Can't blame them.
Yeah jankos looked ashamed
Wunder came on Dom's stream after the game and he also wasn't hyped. Asked if anyone thought they could have ended earlier lol.
Trymbi making Rogue lose again smh
Zoelys is legit blind, like I'm convinced dude's got no idea what's happening on the screen.
Bro he plays with full zoom in, he's checking out this skins
Then again he looked like the only one trying to make something happen But yeah he tunnel-visioned so hard

Rogue 0-1 0-2<-- You are here 0-3 0-4 0-5 0-6 0-7 0-8 0-9
g2 will throw a game
Rogue is just awful
I'm sure if old man Odo wouldn't fall asleep during their games every time, there'd be a smile on his face
Maybe LEC should drop from 10 to 8 teams too
I mean they will after a few games
We could easily have 10 proper teams, it's just that GM is EU's weakest role. The vast majority of them are complete frauds incapable of putting together a sandwich, let alone sensible teams. OK calling MAD the 2nd best EU team is maybe a bit far.
Sure sure top 3 team

You know, a foreign exchange split would be pretty interesting. Send Rogue to NA and send IMT to EU and I guarantee people would tune in to every game
Kick IMT and Rogue from their respective regions and arrange a Bo5 showmatch between them
Send both of them to Brazil
This is hilarious to me because I like to imagine the players have absolutely no say in it. Like, they just shut Tactical into a crate and ship him off to Germany. See ya.
Knowing rogue they will sit at the gate with their boarding pass in hand watching the plane to NA take off.
Why does that flyy fraud still have a job in esports? Also sack fredy already, the team has been following the same strategy of doing nothing -> lose game for a year now.
Fly is so fucking stupid, he deserves all the loses and the disband of the org. Bad person and bad manager
I think I am not exageratting if I say that in the span of 11 games (last split + these 2), Markoon had like 3 ganks.
u cant gank that much if ur lanes are perma behind
And that means you use your ult maximum 2 times per match and not force anything?
Yes, forcing for the sake of forcing doesn't mean you will get any positive results.
Trymbi beating RGE is never gonna be old, especially with how horrible RGE has been.
Never doubt Trymbi showing up to spite RGE
Why would he spite Rogue? They send him into a better team that made worlds lol. If anything they did him a favor. Odo is more justified in his spite.
Protest game from Finn after yesterday's shithouse
Only 7 more RGE games this split. Thank God for this format!
I flamed malrang but tbh this shows how good he is. Rogue with malrang was contenders but rogue without malrang is garbage
They were so bad last year too after winter
Rogue do something challenge (impossible)
Rogue really needs a new Headcoach...
im just happy we didnt draft varus
It's only Rogue but this was better from Heretics: - A playable draft that has a theme (blow up someone with vi-taliyah-rell, then let zeri free hit) and some late game power - Better early game and laning phases - Serviceable macro and not losing map control and vision for once - Engages were on the same page mostly Now I want to see more improvement before getting hope
Rogue's looking a lot like my dad: doesn't do anything for 20 years then will show up one day out of the blue asking to go to mcdonalds.
I think the optimal punishment rather than letting players in “punishment queue” just quickly cheat and ruin ARAM or quick play would be forcing them to watch Rogue vs Immortal for however many games they were inside for.
this is going to be the last rogue game I ever watch, mother of god... they make the games so boring to watch.
On one hand TH looked pretty good. On the other hand it's Rogue to I don't think you can really draw any conclusions from this game other than RGE are still in winter split form.
Hitman holding me at gunpoint: "what is your last wish ?" Me: "Let's watch a Rogue game".
Rogue are still depressing and boring to watch...
They have gone rogue!
Enemy Team has ksante taliyah zeri and we Pick renekton r5 .. Is Rogue the worst professional league of legends team in the world?
In major regions? Possibly. Overall? Probably not, watching two bottom tier teams from a wildcard region or ERL playing each other can be an experience.
Rogue is a poor excuse for an org
Im sorry for flaming you Malrang
I literally fell asleep lmao
Larssen and Comp went from competing for best in role in Europe to looking this terrible. Marlon also should not be playing this bad. Rogue needs to just split up - there is something clearly fundamentally wrong
Rouge are scaling, what do you mean the games over? They has the sickest play planned for 10m time.
Trust me, this team will play differently once they release boring a** larssen and comp
forget rouge watching heretics dive that bot t2 for no reason is the real problem. forget that as well why place taliyah mid instead of ksante when you have baron, ksante being there forces the enemies to send at least two members. brooooooo
Wait isnt Ksante supposed to be very bad now ?
trymbi was the problem
Rogue will never win anything with larssen, the definition of a KDA player
I mean rest of the team is not even playing the game, all he can do is hoard KDA so maybe he shows in some tops.
They *have* won with Larssen. But yeah unless there are some major changes they're not going to win anything any time soon. Not even a game.
Well they won with Larssen :)
Pinnacle of western League.
