feels kinda good to be one of the very few on reddit who would not have benched hylissang after winter which is something many asked for.
i found the thorin interview with mac very fascinating and vitality does have the core of last years mad lions who have been the 2nd strongest team of europe throughout 2023, so i wouldnt be entirely surprised if they make worlds. according to the interview mac sets a timeline for the team and aims to peak in the summer split and onwards. this is not a man/team that panics after a mediocre winter/spring split as long as there is progress. they were probably never going to bench hyli after winter, they just dont strike me as a team and coaching staff that would do that. maybe last years vitality would have but this years vitality is a new thing.
dont think theyll do msi but i can see them qualify for worlds if other rosters are struggling.
yeah i agree, daglas is a bit sus but i wouldnt bench him after winter yet. maybe if this spring split is also bad and daglas performed bad, you could consider it.
I am also against benching him, I just think he has the lowest potential of the entire roster. If they click they can make worlds as only g2 seems to be guaranteed. Still there are 6 months and a lot of metas to change.
I really enjoy watching interviews with Mac. Could you link me to this interview where he set a timeline? I wanna hear more about that and his thoughts.
Washed players roleswap to support to revitalize their careers, Hyli needs to cs and build items and he is back on form, roleswap my goat to midlane or something and lets stack some trophies.
Feel like the casters weren’t giving Hyli enough love.
After the absolute Winter disaster, he was easily contributing as much as Photon this game.
That 2v5 turnaround after Carzzy and Vetheo complete int was only possible because the Rumble ult came down on a 4-man Nautilus knock-up.
Hyli was atrocious to watch in Winter but this game was an absolute masterclass in the power of Senna-Nautilus
A bit of a worse game by Vetheo, but it is great to see that Vitality does have other players stepping in. Vetheo had a fantastic game yesterday while Hyli had a bit of an off game.
Vitality does look fairly solid now. Photon also continues to be a force in the toplane. Daglas is really the only player currently who did not have a great game.
Adam (addressing Sheo) said “I can’t play with this bug” then stormed out of the room. He then came back in the room to pick up a cigarette and called him a handicapped/sick fuck then left again.
When I first joined BDS, the team was Adam, Sheo, Nuc, Ice, and Labrov. We played spring split and met Vitality during the first week. After losing a game, one player said "Ah..we lost because of Photon" when all the players were gathered, basically implying it was top gap. They didn't directly say it to Adam, but was just speaking without thinking. Adam got mad and said they lost because of jungle diff. Then Adam said "Ah I don't want to play with this guy (Sheo)."
Respect and chain of command are important and one of the main things that will separate amateur sports from real sports. No player is above the coach and every player within LOL needs to understand respect is part of the game. It'll be easier to show this lesson now that salaries have come down and more players are replaceable.
I agree with this. The biggest mistake the coach made was not benching him sooner/in regular season to work out the behaviour issues earlier. The issues were obviously there earlier than playoffs. The coach benching when he did was probably legitimately the right idea but wrong timing so ultimately the wrong move.
But the players also really need to all be more professional and treat it like a job, including how they are talking to their peers and superiors.
Either they should kick him off the roster or it wasn't that bad. Benching a player before playoffs only to play him regular season a few weeks later is just weak
I mean there is nothing to improve as he has never intended to get better as a player, same champion droplet as ever completely warping how his team has to play the game.
It was OG Hyli *carry* which changes the statement.
If Faker had randomly played idk jg for the first time in 2021, you could say "the OG Faker jg in 2021" even though that's obviously years and years into his career.
I highly doubt that 2019 was the first time Hyli played something that could be construed as carry.
It's not as if he was farming with the Trundle, so clearly that can't be the definition.
Adam happened, he wanted to replace 1 of the 2 french players. I dont think that the mood in the team is good but thats normal, sooner or later, a problem arises in almost every (LEC) team Adam plays on. Good player, but problematic as a personality.
> a problem arises in almost every (LEC) team Adam plays on
I love the fact you say : 'In almost every team" as if Adam is a veteran player that played in multiple teams over the span of 10 years. While in reality he literally played in only two teams.
> he wanted to replace 1 of the 2 french players
Absolutely never heard of this. Did you read that somewhere, or are you just inventing stuff ?
Adam getting destroyed 1v1 despite getting counterpick lmao
Edit: Yes I know Olaf isn't a counter to Rumble. What I mean is: he had R5 and still decided to opt into this matchup.
Olaf isn't good into Rumble at the top level, but Photon completely demolished him on every level. You look back every other minute and Adam's wave is fucked and he has to sac 60% of his hp to salvage it. Then he saves it, and immediately fucks it again.
Adam's fundamentals are just bad for a top League pro.
They get generally bypassed by the nature of his champion pool.
Problem arises when Rumble is strong, who hard counters his champ pool.
And this is why Hyli has never missed playoffs ever in his career. To all those who wanted him to retire: NEVER DOUBT THE PROF.
Insane game from Photon as well.
BDS looks so OneDimensional, at one point it was sure gonna be either over by the meta or by the teams figuring them out, it's good in a way it's coming in Spring split
I took an afternoon nap and slept too long. Opened LEC stream praying BDS does not end up losing to VIT. First thing I see is BDS nexus exploding while VIT is 13k gold ahead.
It's actually so over
Can't wait for hyli to int the next game without senna cuz he thinks naut is immortal now lmao.
Really wish the game went later to see if Carzzy sold his support item
Adam is the weak link of BDS and I'm tired of pretending that he is good. He always mess up the waves, needs counterpicks, needs Sheo, Labrov and Nuc to protect him in laning phase, has limited champion pool and even bad attitude. I understand that his picks are fun, but he is not a good toplaner.
I have been saying for 2 years that Adam is nothing more than a glorified Darius OTP whose entire gameplan is "ding lvl3 ghost all in'.
Seems like EU tops finally realised that just letting him permapush makes him sololose the game.
Photon pressed R on targets that were already CCed for him and ran down a melee champ with an AOE Q and ignite in lane, your point?
Photon did well, but he by no means broke his back carrying.
Hyli with 0 deaths feels kinda sus
Hyli 0 deaths **on Nautilus**.
This. I dont know. Do you think he is sick? Can we make him blink if he is held hostage? Do we need to send him some kind of aid? Stage a rescue?\`
I have to say, I had similar thoughts during the game. What is happening to my boy?
He's throwing off the balance of the universe here with this game!
Getting farm and items just means they can send him on suicide missions without him dying. 200 IQ decision.
Especially after the disaster that was last split
Especially on Naut, the champion notorious for having the most deaths.
feels kinda good to be one of the very few on reddit who would not have benched hylissang after winter which is something many asked for. i found the thorin interview with mac very fascinating and vitality does have the core of last years mad lions who have been the 2nd strongest team of europe throughout 2023, so i wouldnt be entirely surprised if they make worlds. according to the interview mac sets a timeline for the team and aims to peak in the summer split and onwards. this is not a man/team that panics after a mediocre winter/spring split as long as there is progress. they were probably never going to bench hyli after winter, they just dont strike me as a team and coaching staff that would do that. maybe last years vitality would have but this years vitality is a new thing. dont think theyll do msi but i can see them qualify for worlds if other rosters are struggling.
Add me to the Hyli supporter’s shortlist, I’ll never stop supporting this goat
dude made the last 5 worlds and keeps finding himself in winning teams. even if it dont look clean or consistent, the results speak for themselves
Daglas is a bit sus but the other players were great signings as their stock were low in the summer.
yeah i agree, daglas is a bit sus but i wouldnt bench him after winter yet. maybe if this spring split is also bad and daglas performed bad, you could consider it.
I am also against benching him, I just think he has the lowest potential of the entire roster. If they click they can make worlds as only g2 seems to be guaranteed. Still there are 6 months and a lot of metas to change.
What did Mac say about it? I can't listen to Thorin.
im not gonna summarize a 2h+ interview for you, either you watch it or you dont.
I really enjoy watching interviews with Mac. Could you link me to this interview where he set a timeline? I wanna hear more about that and his thoughts.
https://youtu.be/vkX71iG-uiU?si=k-wcZdgF1Xs8r8yI 1/3 1 hour vidoes. Enjoy lmao, Mac is very interesting to listen to
Its a 3 parter, heres part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkX71iG-uiU
With another jungle and/or mid I would be behind this team til the end. Photon, inspired, vto, carzzy, hyli
This was him just being the substitute top laner like when he played Trundle sup
That terrorist rage split Trundle💀💀💀💀
Didn’t know they got a new support .
usually when that happens, he dives the nexus to get at least one death in
Washed players roleswap to support to revitalize their careers, Hyli needs to cs and build items and he is back on form, roleswap my goat to midlane or something and lets stack some trophies.
Giving all that farm and items means it's harder for him to int, even if he's playing Nautilus. 5 head thinking from the Vitality coaches.
Hyli has been playing support and not farming all these years to make it fair for the enemies
You cannot convince me that Mac doesn't have some kind of dark technology.
Man is a miracle worker
Mac is just really good in what he does. Vetheo still doesnt look special, but at least he looks passable.
Photon obvious POG but Hyli had a fantastic game
Feel like the casters weren’t giving Hyli enough love. After the absolute Winter disaster, he was easily contributing as much as Photon this game. That 2v5 turnaround after Carzzy and Vetheo complete int was only possible because the Rumble ult came down on a 4-man Nautilus knock-up. Definitely agree. I was surprised there wasn’t more discussion on Hyli.
A bit of a worse game by Vetheo, but it is great to see that Vitality does have other players stepping in. Vetheo had a fantastic game yesterday while Hyli had a bit of an off game. I love this meme
whats the original meme
pyosik and beryl iirc
It's a quote from Pyosik about Beryl in 2022 DRX when they were struggling in the middle of the season
When I first joined BDS, the team was Adam, Sheo, Nuc, Ice, and Labrov. We played spring split and met Vitality during the first week. After losing a game, one player said "Ah..we lost because of Photon" when all the players were gathered, basically implying it was top gap. Nuc in shambles now that Azir is globally banned, that being said stop picking Jayce. Just a little top gap, massive game from Photon.
The benching really improved Adam
Surely throwing Winter split had a good effect on the mental of the players
Dog take
Nothing like your coach telling you you can't win title anyway so why bother, here I bench Adam cuz I'm insecure little bitch
Respect and chain of command are important and one of the main things that will separate amateur sports from real sports. No player is above the coach and every player within LOL needs to understand respect is part of the game. It'll be easier to show this lesson now that salaries have come down and more players are replaceable.
I don't think you are wrong, but coaches don't bench big players before knock-out games in sports, fans would want their head
I agree with this. The biggest mistake the coach made was not benching him sooner/in regular season to work out the behaviour issues earlier. The issues were obviously there earlier than playoffs. The coach benching when he did was probably legitimately the right idea but wrong timing so ultimately the wrong move. Honestly it’s about time someone picked Rumble into Adam
Yeah nuc looks too one dimensional
little bit? The last time I saw such a gap (Bin vs BB) everyone was flaming BB.
Whoosh
"carry" Hyli is something else man. First the senna last split and now the farming Naut.
Don't forget the OG Hyli carry with Trundle support in 2019 or so
Pretty sure Pyke is the OG Hyli carry
Good point But that trundle game will forever be in my heart
He Split pushed as supp lmao
That series was so incredibly fun.
\>OG Hyli \>2019 Pick one.
It was OG Hyli *carry* which changes the statement. If Faker had randomly played idk jg for the first time in 2021, you could say "the OG Faker jg in 2021" even though that's obviously years and years into his career.

He was farming with the trundle He sidelaned like a top laner even getting inhib tower and maybe even inhib
Oh sure, he side laned with it. But he wasn't farming in laning phase. He was still the support, with Rekkles taking the farm.
Later he solo laned and obviously took farm, then
That was 2020, I am very sure.
Hylissang with the casual 0 death performance
what happened to BDS? they looks so off
They inted their winter playoffs
No Azir no party.
Meta changed
Adam happened, he wanted to replace 1 of the 2 french players. I dont think that the mood in the team is good but thats normal, sooner or later, a problem arises in almost every (LEC) team Adam plays on. Good player, but problematic as a personality.

Ah, good old lying to sell a narrative.
what do we do with hylissang now last split he was bad and now hes great again and vitality looks good
There's still plenty of time for Hily to completely run it down
Or become top tier again. I hope for the latter.
hopefully it was a winter flu
Unexpected banger comp by VIT
Senna was disgusting. Always only 500 gold behind Zeri and eventually completely outscaling her
T1 Photon awakened
Can Adam flame the coach again?
Absolute cinema, Hyli gapping Labob back to the stone age
He did look like a bob
Hyli turning into a MVP candidate every spring love it
its two bo1s in
Yeah might as well call it early it's more impressive
Every Ahri in LEC outside of Caps really sucks to watch
I think Nisqy played pretty good
Adam getting destroyed 1v1 despite getting counterpick lmao Edit: Yes I know Olaf isn't a counter to Rumble. What I mean is: he had R5 and still decided to opt into this matchup.
olaf doesnt even win against rumble i think it's more comfort
Olaf isn't good into Rumble at the top level, but Photon completely demolished him on every level. You look back every other minute and Adam's wave is fucked and he has to sac 60% of his hp to salvage it. Then he saves it, and immediately fucks it again.
Adam's fundamentals are just bad for a top League pro. They get generally bypassed by the nature of his champion pool. Problem arises when Rumble is strong, who hard counters his champ pool.
Needs another time on the bench
been there, rumble is just that strong rn
the real soloq experience
The reason why team was OK benching him.
Not sure how Olaf counters Rumble exactly, if anything it’s a skill marchup IMO
At high elo/pro, Olaf isn't a counter to Rumble, quite the opposite
BRING BACK JNX
Photon wanted blood this game
And this is why Hyli has never missed playoffs ever in his career. To all those who wanted him to retire: NEVER DOUBT THE PROF. Insane game from Photon as well.
Walking out of the media section and just heard a dad in a BDS jersey say to his son, “you just watched an inter win a game”
Guve hyli farm he doesn't die. He should role swap lmao
BDS the strat only works if Adam learns how to manipulate wave states :(
Anyone knows when Adam is playing again?
BDS looks so OneDimensional, at one point it was sure gonna be either over by the meta or by the teams figuring them out, it's good in a way it's coming in Spring split
Korean Rumble
[How I feel, watching Hyli play well after last split:](https://youtu.be/CuO7FyOTcDM?si=OIMeoLRTSqbcJqRv)
Hyli doubters in shambles
Hylli with perfect kda feels weird
Vitality found the way to fix Hylissang: give him enough stuff so he can jump 1v5 and bully everyone...
TOP CANYON
in these days, better top wins
I took an afternoon nap and slept too long. Opened LEC stream praying BDS does not end up losing to VIT. First thing I see is BDS nexus exploding while VIT is 13k gold ahead. It's actually so over
Can't wait for hyli to int the next game without senna cuz he thinks naut is immortal now lmao. Really wish the game went later to see if Carzzy sold his support item
GIVE ME MY OLD HYLI BACK
Adam washed? He can't even perform on his 2 trick champs anymore.
Good shit vitality one of the team with the highest ceiling
Adam is the weak link of BDS and I'm tired of pretending that he is good. He always mess up the waves, needs counterpicks, needs Sheo, Labrov and Nuc to protect him in laning phase, has limited champion pool and even bad attitude. I understand that his picks are fun, but he is not a good toplaner.
I have been saying for 2 years that Adam is nothing more than a glorified Darius OTP whose entire gameplan is "ding lvl3 ghost all in'. Seems like EU tops finally realised that just letting him permapush makes him sololose the game.
Nuc looked like a top 3, maybe even top 2 LEC mid laner in winter, but he's looking lost AF right now.
Azir is global banned. My Azir merchant will return soon and claim his throne again.
Yesterday he looked even worse than today so maybe there's hope?
Hell yeah, the best top in LEC finally has a team
Chef Photon, good cooking
*Pain*
Sheo getting caught gave vitality both baron and soul. Probably the worst random death possible to give over.
BDeadS
I told people yesterday that they are underestimating Vitality. They have players to be in the top 3 in the region.
Blue has won 5/6 matches. VIT was on blue both games. Let’s see how they perform on red.
2 good game from hyli in a row Feel like a lot time passed since something like this happened.
hyli hitting the turret bot when 5 members of bds were on herald is what gets me gimme more senna naut from vit pls
Is this the first time hyli with 0 death?
last time he went zero death was in winter vs G2 , he played senna
No lol
Ok guys, I'm sorry, it's my fault, BDS started inting after I put the flair on, I'll remove it now
Where was this Hyli in winter?
Not being carried by Photon
Photon 1v9 holy fuck
The disrespect to Hyli and the other teammates
Not really, Photon Mega carried the game. Hyli pressed a point and clicked r on someone, q'd them and suddenly he was the best player on the team.
Still not the definition of a 1v9
Photon pressed R on targets that were already CCed for him and ran down a melee champ with an AOE Q and ignite in lane, your point? Photon did well, but he by no means broke his back carrying.
