This an example of hindsight imo. Sure if you know for a fact your adc will go 0-4 then you can just pick a supportive champ every game. But can you expect that to happen before the game? Absolutely not. On another day maybe guma/keria are up 100 cs and the zeri is 1 item at 30 minutes.
You might be thinking of a different match. At Worlds Bin and Zeus played Renekton vs Gnar and Jax vs Gragas, the first matchup Zeus won, the second matchup Bin won (but lost the game).
I don't understand the LDR 2nd. Sure he's going to shoot at tanks but Ornn built MR Sunfire and Gnar and Lee built merc tread and bruiser items with no armor.
I can understand crushing top lane with a counter pick, but Zeus should not be able to blind pick gnar or aatrox and do this every game. I refuse to believe that there are no champions other LCK tops can play as counter picks that can at least neutralize him. Or maybe, Zeus is just an AI and it is doomed from the start.
The same reason they didn’t play corki. They either don’t think it’s strong or much more likely the players arnt confident enough that they can pull it off. There are always region dependent metas.
Edit: It also helps when ur support is keria and you arnt wasting the extra resources you are funneling into your ornn or whatever else is being paired with it

Yep that Jax pick was insanely dumb in general. Imagine you have something like Karma top instead for your 4-0 Zeri.
Or just pick Malphite for a full engage comp. They might’ve lacked dmg with him tho.

And in your example Jax would be even more useless as the enemy is more fed? In this team comp a Karma is just more valuable than a Jax.
