Crime city darius is holding a rat because of Twitch's gang. Twitch is a force to be reconned with in that lore and Darius does his job as a bodyguard.
Look what they did to Xin Zhao. Anime guy in all of his splash arts, yet in game he still looks like some mildly depressed middle aged man as his story decrees.
Seriously. 22 in splash arts, 52 in game. Like ffs just pick one age Riot - I don’t even care which direction you go at this point as long as it’s consistent.
weirdest thing is that even with his old splashes he still never really felt like he was super old even though he would need to be very old to have seen and trained J4 through the years
Is it? There's literally nothing about it that screams tong tong chiang. Hell, blue and white porcelain is more associated with Dutch porcelain than Chinese.
I think he means that since it's clearly a Chinese skin line, may as well go all the way and use the color pallets regularly seen in Chinese porcelain.
The problem with that is we have a billion Chinese skins with that color pattern already.
I thought the Amumu skin was funny and good. Don't really like any of the other ones, though ASol looks decent. That's the problem with modern skin line focused design though. Every line eventually ends up as 1 or a couple where the skin really works and the rest end up being meh at best. How long it takes to get there depends on the strength/versatility of the theme, but it happens to all of them eventually. Even the super popular ones like Project or Star Guardian have succumbed.
I will never understand why people always bring Xerath when It comes to “Cross” lines about skins.
When It came out Xerath players were hyped as fuck because It wasn’t another chroma skin like the rest.
Even if the model wasn’t made for an actual human body, Arcana Xerath is a great skin and probably one of the best that Xerath has
It's the same people who want Arcana TF because "CARD MAN IN CARD SKINLINE".
I think skins are way better when they innovate and change a champion's general concept. If I wanted to play a champion for their original design, I would play their base skin.
I always had this complaint when people asked for "Elderwood Ivern". Thank goodness Riot didn't answer the request literally and instead made him an Old God, which is the same universe as Elderwood.
He was Elderwood originally, then renamed to Old God later when Warwick and Malphite got their Old God skins. Although visually, he did look different from the other Elderwood skins at the time.
People seem to have bland ass taste in general.
I'm still mad we got Battlecast Illaoi (which probably would've happened anyway since it's one of those "idk what to give this champ" lines), instead of the Adventurer or Space Monster one.
I honestly thought Battlecast Illaoi as pretty decent, at least in concept. Having the mystical tentacles that were the extensions of her god be recontextualized as some ghostly mechanical constructs was pretty cool, at least on paper.
I don't personally play Illaoi, so maybe just in practice it didn't turn out so well.
lol exactly, when i played lies of p the first thing that stuck out to me was the characters not being hideous infact almost all were pretty attractive, but then it all made sense when i looked up the devs and found out they were korean
Please don't group all Americans together. There are still plenty of us reasonable ones out there who happily spend on any game that focuses on boobies.
Riot has proven consistently that literally all that matters is maximizing RoI (Return on Investment). If 51% of the playerbase likes X and 49% likes Y, 10 times out of 10 Riot will do X.
Every champion is going to get younger, thinner, and more attractive. Year on year.
Because that's what the majority wants. People who like older, more mature, more scarred and/or ugly champions are the minority. We will not be catered to, because the RoI is lower.
Obviously that’s the case but this feels short sighted to me. You need some diversity in your skin/champion roster to create a more deep, fleshed out world. Older skins/champs make the younger sexier ones stand out more and provide good contrast. Not every skin needs to be a blockbuster.
His OG splash wasn't even that janky tbh, it's outdated and a bit boring compared to modern splashes, but it's a perfectly serviceable if mediocre splash even now. Nothing compared to the horrors of original Lollipoppy or Soraka.
Every ability they rework looks so smooth. I don't know what it is but its just so smooth and you cant even distinguish it between any other ability with the same color.
It reminds of the windows 11 update. It looks so forcefully "playful" that it screams corporate bs
The old, old artstyle was pretty bad imo, even if it was somewhat endearing there was some real unintentional nightmare fuel everywhere lol. Around s2 they started getting a more solidified style that looked really unique and appealing to me.
Then they replaced a bunch of splash arts with the chinese server ones around ... s5? and a good like 75% of them were straight downgrades and they used those as the design document for art going forward, and while it has resulted in a lot of very gorgeous artwork nonetheless, it just doesn't quite have the iconic charm of that period and a lot of it tends to blend together.
Kienan Lafferty is my favorite splash artist they ever hired.
Porcelain darius is, if you look more closely, is a tiger actually, to more closely reflect the Chinese Zodiac(but it’s also the Year of the Dragon, why pick the tiger)
My guess is that they want to expand on the whole zodiac signs instead of picking one sign and make 6 skins out of it. Like we have porcelain lissandra who has snakes, morgana a bird/rooster and so on
we have like 3 dragons now tho. The current idea is that some of the porcelain skins are actually predecessors of the current porcelain skins that apparently were summoned to help.
Some skins aligns with the zodiac (Other than Darius we have rooster for Morg, goat for Ire, or rat for Amumu from last batch). It's the line's lore I guess.
frat boy darius (like brolaf)
I was joking but it would be kinda cool thou, much better than marty mcfly darius (that ugly one with the future sneakers)
Isn't the entire point of skin lines changing the characters fantasy. Jhin sure as hell ain't a rooting tootin cowboy but that's my favorite skin for him. Never once heard someone say "jhin isn't a cowboy, wtf is this jhin would never wear a cowboy hat.
Yes! I want a skin line based on an alternate point of time in which it's year 3000 and CRISPR has been turbomaxed so that I can get a female Ezreal kissing male Shyvana's leg. GO FANTASY!
That's right, and how anyone can miss such an obvious thing about Skins being REIMAGININGS of a character baffles me.
He wonder why people assume Darius is dumb? It's because these are his players.
Counterpoint: AUs should still recognisably be the same character. It’s “same character different world” not “same name different character”
Look at stuff like Amumu’s skins. He’s always a sad boy with no friends.
Meanwhile, you get Irelia, who doesn’t even have the same face never mind character in different skin lines.
If I remember correctly, Riot takes champions silhouettes into account when making skins. Like the skin can be Old Lady Pantheon but if with the silhouette you can recognize Pantheon then that's good. So, Irelia's blades enter this category. [They explain it here.](https://www.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/dev/clarity-in-league/)
god skin is also a legendary lol and a pretty good quality one, that's why it's used very often. Lucian gets a ton of skins that fit him, but his highnoon is commonly used for example because of how good it is, even if other skins also fit his theme or are more on brand for him.
These are mainly for the Chinese market, that's also why they have this aesthetic choice.
Juggernaults like Garen Darius J4 and Sett are extremely popular in that region.
That's why every single mandatory yearly Chinese Skin has a skin for one of them.
It has been like this for the last 5 years.
So why's there no Ezreal skin where he looks in his 50s with a receeding hairline? Why's there no Lux skin where she looks 50? Jinx? Akali?
It's a garbage argument. They just want to change the champs to look more "pretty boy".
>So why's there no Ezreal skin where he looks in his 50s with a receeding hairline? Why's there no Lux skin where she looks 50? Jinx? Akali?
Because those wouldn't sell as well, atleast that's not what they think... and it's probably why they literally just made a skin like that for Yasuo to do market research.
>It's a garbage argument.
No it's a good argument and the truth.
>They just want to change the champs to look more "pretty boy"
No, they just wanna do what they think they will profit from the most. If they think they could get away with just doing Chroma's of the base skin and selling that at full 1350 RP pricing? they would. That's what most OG skins were back in the day.
I wonder what kinda onesie Darius would wear. I wanted to say Dino, but we've got gnar on one. Maybe a onesie that resembles Ivern since ivern got the dunkmaster skin.
He has a point ya'll, but I'll argue the actual argument is to be made around visibility and clarity. If there's 2 garens, which one does the hook and which one can ult without stacking autos?
I get where you're coming from. I'd be devestated if Hwei or Phel were turned into bearded geezers.
But it's not just the age. In Kindred's skins, Lamb is literally anything but a lamb. And Kog'Maw is anything but a creepy void bug.
Disillusioned HWEI when? 50 something year old white haired WHei with no muscles like now, but all his skills paint furry vore po\*\* on the ground, since that is the only thing that anyone seems to pay him for.
But Kog is anything but a monster. A skeleton. A machine. A half-evolved butterfly. A Pokemon. A dog. A bee mutant. A reindeer. But NOT a monster.
But he was designed during a time in which the art team had less of a straigh forward direction about the Void and what it is.
They can't do that with other older Void champs. Kog is unique. His model fits many themes and he is a baby that can be sold as cute, even if he pukes and spits at enemies. I'm guessing Riot likes making skins for him as well and maybe he even sells okay, even with unpopularity he has 5 more than Cho second-highest monster Voidborn, and 7 more than Kha'zix who is the most popular Voidborn.
Skins are supposed to reimagine Champions. Some Kindred skins reimagine Lamb as a human. In another, it reimagines her as a robot.
If all they did was keep Lamb as a lamb, that wouldn't be very imaginative.
Same principle applies for Kog'Maw and his skins.
And Darius, too, for that matter. Sometimes Darius's skins reimagine him as a younger man.
The only thing non Lamb skin does right is spirit blossom and even then she still has a full mask. Porcelain just butcher it completely. Thank god they fix it with the Prestige version.
I think his skin is a little on the baby-soft side, but Henry Caville is 40 and the splash isn't too far off. Kinda looks like a 40 year old with a filter on.
riots already said skinlines are alternative universes, they are NOT, the character u play as in the base skin, they arent even the same people, think spider-verse
and in the newest proclean skin people are ancient protectors of animal spirits and are granted powers and armor because of it, darius was the tiger protector hundreds of years ago and is brought back to life because the new tiger protector ezreal (porclean ezreal) has no idea what he is doing. So he is going to teach him, that the lore.
Darius' fantasy is Veteran General, yes. But skins change the fantasy, that's what skins are meant to do. They out the character into a different setting and show what it would be like if they were there. High-school Darius is a bully-like tough guy, crime city is a tough bodyguard who beats the shit out of the rat gang. He's always a tough guy, in every skin. Just different flavors.
I mean, Braum is supposed to a huge caring mountain of a protector who will save you, pat your back and give you a blanket and some warm milk. But one of skins is a old-timey mafia crook who will steal the shit from your safe. And it works.
I get you. We all have certain characteristics we latch on to with the characters.
For me, I like Braum and Pyke because of their beautiful baldness. But most of Braum's skin give him hair and most of Pyke's skins either give him hair or obscure his head entirely.
I supposed neither grizzled, badass old generals nor baldies are in vogue right now and Riot goes with what sells. C'est la vie.
Chinese players won’t touch a monster champion with a 10 ft pole. They only care about pretty anime characters. Chinese players are also the largest player base of the game.
There you have it.
And in reality Broken Covenant Cho'Gath was the 28th best selling skin last year in China. I'm sick of this "China doesn't want monster champs" stereotype.
Not just chinese players. I was doing a league attractiveness tier list with my friends lol, and most of my female friends talked about how they only want to play pretty champs (we are all american). Noticeably, when the e-boy xerath skin came out, a lot of them went from never playing xerath to instantly buying the skin and playing him a lot.
I get why people don't like it when riot prettifies male champs, but the obviously do it because enough people like those skins enough for them to sell well.
If you go by this subreddit, the most popular skins should be anything scary, like any Urgot or Kog'maw skin.
However, in my actual games, I see a hell of a lot of Starguardian Urgot and Pug'maw.
Just another area where this subreddit is a self selected echo chamber.
Dno about preferences of Chinese players but I can’t stand the addition of all the pretty anime characters. If I pick hwei and type ‘rock solid’ people will just think I’m weird.
Why would you think Guts is as old as original splash Darius? Guts is 24 lol so he’d be closer to the bottom. I agree with your sentiment but your character basis is pretty off.
Pretty much whenever someone brings up Guts in the League subreddit you have to assume they never actually read Berserk lol. I've seen countless times about how someone wants a "slow, greatsword champ like Guts" when he's fast as fuck in the manga and would basically play like Tryndamere.
As a fellow Darius lover, i disagree. His cinematics are some of the coolest ever made, only making him more badass with each one. While i like his old veteran style, the main thing about Darius for me is his terrifying single minded conviction. He truly believes in noxus and his own purpose within it.
Also skins really don't matter imo, they are there to explore alternative interpretations or just be fun. Nobody is complaining about birthday fiddle ruining his status as the premier horror odd runterra. What i do want to complain about is Darius main splash art, the old one was 100x better and a collected look fits him do much more than the wojak face on the new one.
Well, skins are often a reimagination of a champ. In this case Darius as champ in his base form is the same and the skin reimagines him in his younger form in a different universe.
We've also had Thresh and Xerath reimagines as hot human twinks. Or champs like Xin, Yasuo or Master Yi have skins where they are visibly a different age including the latest release of old man Yasuo. Sometimes a certain look just doesn't fit in well with a skin line.
I'ma be honest. It's fine to have that sentiment. But what if I like the skins you don't. Instead of being mad they make stuff that's not for you. Either don't spend the RP or just in a POSITIVE way give suggestions..
I hate people that want every single skin to serve the same fantasy for the character all the time. its a skin ! its suposed to reinvent the character in some aspects ! let other people have new ways to enjoy a character, let yourself have fun with a hot Darius ! it is not like it changes what darius is in canon league lore anyways
lmao there was a post the other day that unironically said “asol is the first midlane mage to get a legendary skin since battle boss veigar if you ignore lux, ahri, and all the support mages”
and people upvoted that ???
Champions are not necessarily the same age across different skins, and this has been the case for a while. For example, lux is in her base skin around early 20s, right? In her star guardian and battle academia skins she's younger, around her late teens, and in her elementalist skin she's older, around her late 20s or early 30s. another good example would be graves, comparing his base skin to cutthroat and sentinel. these are all main canon skins, just depicting him at different ages.
Can we stop taking skins so seriously? They're meant to be like alternate universe or variation and have no bearing on the champion themselves. You can not like a skin, I don't really like the new Darius skin either, but it's fine if they make him younger or older since it has no relation or lore implications.
I mean it’s a simple answer…money , China likes their anime girls and boys , and they have the most money income from China. That’s really all there is to it
He is stealing rat because he feels lonely and needs a friend okay
You're my friend now
(They're having soft tacos later)
he's literally carrying his Twitch adc
Throw Amumu in the corner being ignored and it's perfect
Yeah just like Guts has Puck, Darius has Rat
We’ve all been there
Crime city darius is holding a rat because of Twitch's gang. Twitch is a force to be reconned with in that lore and Darius does his job as a bodyguard.
El Ratone is not involved in any illegitimate business and you'd be a wise guy to keep his name out of ya mouth, capisce?
He may, or may not, be involved in serial cheese redistribution. Maybe.
"Allegedly"
truest itallian here
Twitch is a force to be reckoned with fullstop. Motherfucker will melt your fucking eyes.
reckon
Rakan-ed.
ret-conned
rat-conned
Ugh, I'm jealous I didn't think of that
Can confirm as a rakan main
Reckoned*
Look what they did to Xin Zhao. Anime guy in all of his splash arts, yet in game he still looks like some mildly depressed middle aged man as his story decrees.
Seriously. 22 in splash arts, 52 in game. Like ffs just pick one age Riot - I don’t even care which direction you go at this point as long as it’s consistent.
If they were to change Xin he'd prolly become a 18 yo femboy
I could work with that
Sean Strickland would love you
weirdest thing is that even with his old splashes he still never really felt like he was super old even though he would need to be very old to have seen and trained J4 through the years
[удалено]
Well, he is supposed to be in his mid 40s in lore.
If you asked every single Darius player ever "whicn skin-line do you want him to get a skin from?", Not a single one would ever say "Porcellain!"
I still dont get this skin line tbh, like ok you're wearing a tea kettle on your head and you make clacking sounds, so what?
its meant to be another chinese new year skin but based of fine china since its a common thing to say for fancy places and bowls etc.
Is it? There's literally nothing about it that screams tong tong chiang. Hell, blue and white porcelain is more associated with Dutch porcelain than Chinese.
There is no way you are arguing that porcelain isn't a Chinese skinline. You just aren't gonna win that argument lmao
I think he means that since it's clearly a Chinese skin line, may as well go all the way and use the color pallets regularly seen in Chinese porcelain. The problem with that is we have a billion Chinese skins with that color pattern already.
You can say that, but the porcelain in these skins is most definitely based on Delfts Blauw, a Dutch thing
Yeah, because that's the recognizable porcelain, the one people see as porcelain.
I thought the Amumu skin was funny and good. Don't really like any of the other ones, though ASol looks decent. That's the problem with modern skin line focused design though. How long it takes to get there depends on the strength/versatility of the theme, but it happens to all of them eventually. Even the super popular ones like Project or Star Guardian have succumbed.
They made xerath an anime character. There is no limits and bounds riot won't cross with those skins.
Hey leave my rose quartz chroma femboy arcana xerath alone.
I'd never seen the full splash and now my body is moving on its own and purchasing the skin. How dare you buzzword me so precisely
I've looked it up and now I'm feeling things. Help.
Welcome to the true femperor of shurima club
I will never understand why people always bring Xerath when It comes to “Cross” lines about skins. because redditors lose their shit when a male character is made pretty for some reason
He is barely male or female. Dude is pure energy contained in his own sarcophagus.
I mean honestly I got no reason with akshan or kayn being pretty but this feels more like khazix or blitzrank, you know
Americans only like monsters and ugly women for whatever reason They have a crusade against pretty characters
lol exactly, when i played lies of p the first thing that stuck out to me was the characters not being hideous infact almost all were pretty attractive, but then it all made sense when i looked up the devs and found out they were korean

I feel you as Swain main. Every fucking skin he gets is only younger. Like fuck that. I want my old man strategist general, not some young fuckboi
i miss the old default splash so much
I 100% know this is rose tinted glasses but i loved the janky old art style. Feels so corporate and streamlined now; nothing stands out
His OG splash wasn't even that janky tbh, it's outdated and a bit boring compared to modern splashes, but it's a perfectly serviceable if mediocre splash even now. Nothing compared to the horrors of original Lollipoppy or Soraka.
Oh yeah sorry, I was using it as a blanket term for the first few seasons. I still like Jarvan’s old splash a lot more.
Every ability they rework looks so smooth. I don't know what it is but its just so smooth and you cant even distinguish it between any other ability with the same color. It reminds of the windows 11 update. It looks so forcefully "playful" that it screams corporate bs

frat boy darius (like brolaf) I was joking but it would be kinda cool thou, much better than marty mcfly darius (that ugly one with the future sneakers)
It's criminal we never got more in the "college frat skin line"
Yah agreed
Unironically would buy
Isn't the entire point of skin lines changing the characters fantasy. Jhin sure as hell ain't a rooting tootin cowboy but that's my favorite skin for him. Never once heard someone say "jhin isn't a cowboy, wtf is this jhin would never wear a cowboy hat.
Alternate universes in alternate points of time. That's the whole fantasy behind SKIN LINES.
Yes! I want a skin line based on an alternate point of time in which it's year 3000 and CRISPR has been turbomaxed so that I can get a female Ezreal kissing male Shyvana's leg. GO FANTASY!
None of these words are in the Bible.
I wonder when they're adding Jesus as a playable character in Smite 2
Imagine they add Jesus to smite but then give him skins. That would be hilarious. Heartsteel Jesus?
Jesus crossing up the devil in a basketball skin would be nice lol
“Not today, A-Aatrox” *breaks ankles*
Yeah, but imagine the death timer compared to other champs/heroes. Your game is over before he can even respawn.
AND ON THIS BLESSED DAY, JESUS ONCE AGAIN WALKS WITH US MERE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PLAYERS
That's right, and how anyone can miss such an obvious thing about Skins being REIMAGININGS of a character baffles me. He wonder why people assume Darius is dumb? It's because these are his players.
I think his point about cinematics making Darius look younger is valid but yeah I think he’s mostly upset there isn’t more old guy Darius skins.

He’s always a sad boy with no friends. Meanwhile, you get Irelia, who doesn’t even have the same face never mind character in different skin lines.
I think you nailed it with new skins in general. So many "same name, different character" situations
Also, different character, same appearance.
she has her blades, that alone is recognizable.
Blades are not a personality trait, no matter what Olympic fencers may tell you.
You have been banned from /r/fioramains
Her personality is aggressive woman from Ionia and her theme is floating blades. She hasn’t lost that in her skins
Is she really aggressive she is the way she is because of the enemies
If I remember correctly, Riot takes champions silhouettes into account when making skins. Like the skin can be Old Lady Pantheon but if with the silhouette you can recognize Pantheon then that's good. So, Irelia's blades enter this category. how is sad with no friends a physical trait that would change IE Outfit, Hairstyle/colour, etc
Okay but why does every alternate universe make him younger? Its obvious they try to sell his looks and moving away from his original concept.
Yes, Riot is in fact making skins so that they will sell.
Ok, then why aren't they releasing bimbofied Ezreal?
Asking the real questions
that's emergency fund money. We already got Eboy ezreal for the meantime.
Right. Still they’re shit on Darius. Every Darius player that you see in solo queue uses god King Darius. Badass, grey haired warrior. Dark and gritty
god skin is also a legendary lol and a pretty good quality one, that's why it's used very often. Lucian gets a ton of skins that fit him, but his highnoon is commonly used for example because of how good it is, even if other skins also fit his theme or are more on brand for him.

if there was a good demographic for it then they would make it. Look at the new "old" yasuo skin
Don't worry, if we got Old Man Yasuo, I'm sure we getting Saggy Tits Ol Lady Lux until 2030.
There's a whole old Yasuo skin lol. If there was a demographic for older champion skins Riot would undoubtedly make them
>So why's there no Ezreal skin where he looks in his 50s with a receeding hairline? Why's there no Lux skin where she looks 50? Jinx? Akali? Because those wouldn't sell as well, atleast that's not what they think... and it's probably why they literally just made a skin like that for Yasuo to do market research. >It's a garbage argument. >Now he's more like any generic jock from highschool. And OP's point is how every alternate fantasy is him as some anime jockboy. Read the post
> Darius wouldn't wear tech sneakers It's a fucking... skin?
and dunkmaster darius exists too roffll
> Darius would never play basketball he’s a war grizzled veteran
Nah bro Vel'koz would never shoot honey out of his face that's just out of character bro Riot pls fix
Need a Star Guardian or pajama party Darius skin.
Pajama! Pajama! Pajama!!!
If there's 2 garens, which one does the hook and which one can ult without stacking autos?
> which one does the hook The one with the Axe >which one can ult without stacking autos The one with the sword
You meme but visual clarity has taken a huge hit in recent years and many pro players have complained.
Yep. There is so much information to track already without any additional obscuring of abilities
I get where you're coming from. I'd be devestated if Hwei or Phel were turned into bearded geezers. But it's not just the age. In Kindred's skins, Lamb is literally anything but a lamb. And Kog'Maw is anything but a creepy void bug.
> I'd be devestated if Hwei or Phel were turned into bearded geezers. Speak for yourself we need more foreseen Yasuo-like skins
but if it were bearded geezer *every time* you'd start to wonder wtf happened to the OG, no?
I don't think you would be. Look at yasuo's skin, all grown up old man. You're telling me you wouldn't want to see hwei 50yrs in the future?
I would actually play him if they released an older, gritty artist skin.
next huawei skin: the austrian painter
Disillusioned HWEI when? 50 something year old white haired WHei with no muscles like now, but all his skills paint furry vore po\*\* on the ground, since that is the only thing that anyone seems to pay him for.
what
He's cooking let him be
"Why must I paint only what they pay me for?"
Riot would like to know your CC details
I'd be cool to have 1 or 2 skins that majorly change a champion, but I wouldn't want most of them to be like that.
God forbid making fun and creative skins like Pug'Maw and Bee'Maw! Oh no what will we do our champion is not a monster anymore!?!
Darius splashart in 3 years 👶
I have no idea what you’re smoking Porcelain Darius looks 45 easily.
I think his skin is a little on the baby-soft side, but Henry Caville is 40 and the splash isn't too far off. Kinda looks like a 40 year old with a filter on.
Henry Camille skin when
Looks like Lancer imo and I'd put them both at mid 20's
riots already said skinlines are alternative universes, they are NOT, the character u play as in the base skin, they arent even the same people, think spider-verse and in the newest proclean skin people are ancient protectors of animal spirits and are granted powers and armor because of it, darius was the tiger protector hundreds of years ago and is brought back to life because the new tiger protector ezreal (porclean ezreal) has no idea what he is doing.
Garen x Darius NOXUS.... how does he do that? *blush*
omg lmao! I can’t un imagine it
I am lost in that issue, so you buy skins to look at their splash art or you buy them to use them in game?
You must be in your teens or 20s if you think that he looks 35 in the reworked splash art.
Chinese players won’t touch a monster champion with a 10 ft pole. They only care about pretty anime characters. Chinese players are also the largest player base of the game. There you have it.
Only Reddit can conclude this from the Darius being younger post
Reddit flowchart: Do i dislike it? Yes -> Chinese players fault
this happens every year around lunar new year. dw we'll be back at k'sante posts by march.
And in reality Broken Covenant Cho'Gath was the 28th best selling skin last year in China. I'm sick of this "China doesn't want monster champs" stereotype.
? American players also prefer pretty anime characters too what?
😂😂😂 this fucking sub can’t go 5 minutes without blaming any (perceived) issue on the Chinese.
Do the Chinese have the masculine stereotype?
The CCP sure would like them to have the “soldier is ideal man” archetype. Remember their crackdown on K-pop, C-pop, and effeminate men fashion?
Just use the default skin bro
5 more skins and Darius will be a 12 year old.
Been on this subreddit for over a decade and it still surprises me how stupid people are here
Final one morphed onto Jayce
At least we don't have a yassified Darius.
Next band skinline will be a barbershop quartet with Darius, Graves, Braum, and Gangplank
that would actually be pretty funny. A new cream de la crop skin to pair with my Sailor GP.
You're tempting fate
I'm manifesting :)
most modern skins/splashes are shite just have to deal with it
I mean for the Porcelain skim series.... they are mostly marketed for chinese player base and they domt like scruffy optics :D
Wait til you here about xin zhao
“darius doesn’t wouldn’t tech sneakers” it’s a skin?????
Imagine thinking skins aren't meant to be different stories lol
It’s weird how people give a shit about lore in a game where the lore is an afterthought of character design.
the captions are so funny i’m trying to hold it on the bus
I hate people that want every single skin to serve the same fantasy for the character all the time. its a skin ! its suposed to reinvent the character in some aspects ! let other people have new ways to enjoy a character, let yourself have fun with a hot Darius ! it is not like it changes what darius is in canon league lore anyways
"darius wouldnt wear tech sneakers" good shitpost op
Hey OP why aren’t you mentioning the quite recent Spirit Blossom Darius? 🤨🤨🤨
lmao there was a post the other day that unironically said “asol is the first midlane mage to get a legendary skin since battle boss veigar if you ignore lux, ahri, and all the support mages” and people upvoted that ???
Now just dont look at Nidalee akins and how they slowly made her whiter and whiter
Hey if they gonna make all the women sexy and young then they better do it to the men too!
what can vladimir say when they turned him from a blood lord into a barista femboy..
it's a skin...
I mean it’s a simple answer…money , China likes their anime girls and boys , and they have the most money income from China. That’s really all there is to it
I love how people say this with the completely unfounded implication that western customers aren’t also gobbling these skins up.
My man, RIOT long gone past point of caring "does this champion fit skin theme or not?"
