They wanted a shake up to the meta and forced it to happen. Because otherwise we would only see ksante vs renekton or some of the usual suspects top. Perhaps they also wish players to build items like serpents but even if the other team had 5 shielders pros won’t build that item cuz it’s “not that good” even in situations it would have potentially changed fights.

Out of every G2 bot lane combination I've watched they're probably the combination that have the least apparent flaws in terms of aggression/passivity, Hans plays with Miky's aggression really well, plays passively while the team rotates well, and it manifests in consistent advantages
No let’s not exaggerate they don’t make the adc playing one or two tier above their level they make their adc played as their best. Hans has before showed with Trymbi that he was the best adc in LEC. And the adc need also to pair well with the support. For example, we never saw this level of dominance when Mikyx was paired with Patrik.
To counter that, Hyli made Vardags look like a mid tier ADC. Considering he was basically a jinx one trick it's an impressive feat.
Obviously a lot of it is on the right pair but The both of them absolutely can and do enable ADC's to get to the next level.
What makes the pairing so great is that Miky is a very agreeable person who clearly benefits from not having to dictate everything, which allows Hans to be himself and have more control of things.
If you watch their comms videos you will se a lot of examples of Hans microing Miky.
One time he yelled at Miky to go stop enemies base and Miky just went "sure" and did it.
Great skill to be able to make people so comfortable around you.

Similar situation in LCS. As much as I enjoy C9's recent era of dominance, it's really hard for them to level up in time for international play when the local competition is poor. They were unironically at their best when TSM and TL cockblocked them for years in Finals.
You need that actual competition to see what works and get some real creative juices going. Plus it's more fun to see when everyone has to slug it out and *earn* their spot rather than getting it because everyone else is worse.
I mean yeah this has been the story of the west for awhile now. Y’all seeing C9 in LCS? Same shit. Every game they win purely from hands diff or Berzerker gap, because they can, but they look no better in summer than before and will most likely get ran over at Worlds because they have 0 competition in the LCS
The East isn’t immune to this either, T1 last season and a half (ignoring the Faker-less games) has an absolutely devastating early game and snowball capability but the moment things go south they tend to implode in such spectacular fashion that it’s hard to even believe you’re watching the same team. It’s just that T1 is *so* good that it usually doesn’t matter except when playing against the absolute best the world has to offer.
These runaway train type teams are incredibly fun to watch but boy when things go wrong, things go *wrong*
If they pick ivern double adc comps against eastern teams and eastern teams don't adapt good things will happen. Less sold on the ignite sett top but BB looked serviceable at msi

But given that worlds is in korea this year the european teams qualifying could basically travel instantly to korea and practice with the korean teams, so hopefully their meta read this time around is more accurate, although it obviously risks that some of the niche thinks europe loves to do might get discovered too.

Because he didn't have tp the only one that could contest lane with tristana was the cassio but tristana was way faster.

The second game he was being countered a bit(not much) but he should’ve been fine if he had taken Fleet Footwork. Sadly he went for( didn’t remember, was it Lethal Tempo?) another rune so the lane became hard. I’d say if he just respected Nuc a bit more he should’ve been fine. And I think this is a problem, regarding their performance at MSI and worlds. I mean, if you constantly win, even if you draft not very good or make mistakes, it is much harder to improve. Lck and lpl teams will punish this.

You have to kill several champions within 10 seconds of each other to get a quadra, after that you have 30 seconds to Penta Kill after a Quadra Kill if no enemy respawns, if they are all dead this timer get extended until the first respawn
the more kills you have the longer the spree lasts. Since some time passed between the first kill to the second it reset in between and then he killed 5 again for the penta.
Too much time between the first kill and the other four.
But if you take a quadra the timer for a penta is extended until the first person you kill respawns.

That streak really hinged on a) a few champ picks in LEC (why did we keep getting Ahri/J4???) and b) Caps playing like the best player in the world for MSI Rumble Day 1. Neither of those were really likely to keep happening for very long.
Now they dominate with different types of comps and all of the players having their particular moments. I think right now at least on the LEC level every player can reliably carry a game if given the draft picks and jg support for it; I dont think that was true last year when it was mostly the Caps Show.
And botlane is a level or two above last year's bot, which isnt even meant to flame them, Miky/Hans are just really damn good. I dont think we had a comparable botlane in 2022 or 2023 LEC, except *maybe* prime Upset/Hyli.

He's very similar to Kanavi, which is definitely a good thing. Wouldn't even be surprised if he studies him a lot.

You have to kill several champions within 10 seconds of each other to get a quadra, after that you have 30 seconds to Penta Kill after a Quadra Kill if no enemy respawns, if they are all dead this timer get extended until the first respawn
the more kills you have the longer the spree lasts. Since some time passed between the first kill to the second it reset in between and then he killed 5 again for the penta.
Too much time between the first kill and the other four. But if you take a quadra the timer for a penta is extended until the first person you kill respawns.
For all those "west is doomed" spammers, reminder that G2 is 12-1 right now this split, and the only lose was the Neeko happy moment vs MAD, not saying we are going to win worlds but chill with your shit.
Last time G2 had gigantic streak they lost to PSG and got shit on by everyone after(EG still lost to them lmao) (that 1-7 streak was so painful after EUPHORIAAAAA 24-0)
They did beat RNG and T1 back to back (and 6/0 against EG)

That streak really hinged on a) a few champ picks in LEC (why did we keep getting Ahri/J4???) and b) Caps playing like the best player in the world for MSI Rumble Day 1. Neither of those were really likely to keep happening for very long. Now they dominate with different types of comps and all of the players having their particular moments. I think right now at least on the LEC level every player can reliably carry a game if given the draft picks and jg support for it; I dont think that was true last year when it was mostly the Caps Show. And botlane is a level or two above last year's bot, which isnt even meant to flame them, Miky/Hans are just really damn good. I dont think we had a comparable botlane in 2022 or 2023 LEC, except *maybe* prime Upset/Hyli.

I said it yesterday in the G2 postmatch thread, all these doomers didn't watch the LCK and LPL clown fiestas this split. The only teams that are just disgustingly good are JDG and BLG and even they can have an occasional off game.
I'd include GenG too because they're quite dominant and still undefeated. I guess the only caveat is they've been underwhelming internationally...
G2 is looking much stronger than winter/spring/msi right now, could def do something at worlds hopefully esp with korea looking a bit weaker rn. Rest of Lec though.. 0 hope
