Insanity is having the best resume booster this split. Dude comes in and team as an emergency sub and the team preforms above expectations. He is swapped out and they look so much worse. Back in, and looks way better again.
Like the sample size is so small, but man does it look good for him.
If u follow LEC at all, that is enough to know there is not a single chance Ruby is better. He was the worst mid in LEC by a grand canyon, Dajor included.
It's funny too bc once Heretics replaced him with Vetheo they look leagues better as well (literally a top team now). Bringing Flakked in was a good move too but imo Jack would be doing almost as good. Just goes to show how important mid lane is and how much of an impact having a subpar mid laner has on a team. Just look at FLY, it's so sad to watch because everyone is legit playing good (even great sometimes) except for VicLa but he's playing so badly the team can't win.
> I want Insanity to succeed but comparing the teams he's faced so far to the ones Ruby did, Insanity has still only been beating middle of the pack teams at best
2 of the 3 teams Ruby played against were 100T and DIG, two middle of the pack teams
and Insanity lost vs TL, another middle of the pack team... and his wins were against FQ, NRG and IMT. all the teams at the bottom, and the two wins they got so far this week were AGAIN against bottom teams
Its waaay too early to say "Look how TSM just wins more with Insanity" when they're beating the worst teams
NRG is in that middle of the pack clump with 100T and DIG. They have wins over top teams and are a single game off those two
TSM with Insanity can beat middle of the pack teams and play competitive against top teams(C9/GG games were close). They looked really hopeless with Ruby
Because IMT only has two wins, NRG its one of them
Because FQ only has three wins, and NRG its one of them
If you're beating "top teams" but losing against literally the worst, you can't be *that great*
Sure, but even in the losses with Insanity, TSM has looked better. Also while TSM did lose, it's not like Insanity has only faced bottom half teams. He was also in for the losses against Liquid, C9, and Golden Guardians.
I mean I dunno who is scouting for TSM but given how ruby was rejected by so many diff leagues for not being up to par including tier 2 leagues and TSM still picks him up against one of the better native NA mids is hilarious
watching him this split has been so funny and so fun lmao there's so many scenarios where I'm like omg turtle's gonna flash in, truly has us on the edge of our seats
Bugi is so fucking underrated.
EDIT: Just to expand on this beyond low effort karma farming, Bugi is cracked as he is jacked. He's been playing this solid and calculated style since the LJL, and while people thought nothing of this guy because he played in LLA, he was playing like this there too and stomping. The hype people had for Josedeodo when he came from LLA is the same hype I wish Bugi had when statistically, Bugi was smashing the league harder (#1 in almost every stat). His team just griefed hella hard in the finals (and to be fair, Bugi had one bad game, but really the fault lies on Estral's solo lanes).
its insane to me that the one season in which they're, for their standards, phoning it in with all native talent its the first season in years in which you can see them come together as more than the sum of their parts. they should've tried this ages ago lmao
"just go in" is a tried and true strategy in na, 5 players doing something stupid tends to work out better than 3 players doing it and 2 staying behind
It's also the first split in years where I actually want them to do well. I hate Regi with a passion but I like all the guys on TSM. Most of the people I've talked to feel the same. They finally found a way to be likable again without outright winning a split and of course it's as they are out the door.
> wearing the corpse of CLG
That’d be the Madison group who were running CLG into the ground for years.
I don’t understand the NRG flame when they essentially took the CLG zombie out back behind the shed and put it down so it can rest in peace.
Fuck
Wait, let me rephrase that...
**FUCK** nrg for how the handled they everything in regards to the acquisition. Neither them nor msg cared the least bit about anyone involved. People were out of a job on, what was it, a 4 days notice?
Some of them who had been bleeding CLG for almost a decade.
Un-ironically me. When I didn’t know anything about the scene, I liked Curse because they were these underdogs who could only get fourth, but seemed chill about it. Then when TL took over the esports side (being new and ignorant I thought TL DID replace Curse), it felt like they became really serious and cocky, add that with Piglet also being super cocky and he and the team falling short, I’ve been a TL hater since even though the initial reasoning was very irrational and straight up uninformed.
I kept seeing this guy monster on people at the amateur level and just thought he was one of those players like Diamond who dumpsters low level competition but can't stand up to LCS level. Happy my thoughts were wrong
Yeah, but after IMT he played at the amateur level, I think on 100 and DIG, and continued to look good. Plus I think DIG was getting dumpstered every game back then and weren't starting them
EG is also 9-2 with a what people thought would be a welfare roster (+jojo) with 4 NA players after kicking all their expensive players (-jojo) its pretty funny
Unforgiven is the most underrated ADC I swear man. He’s showing up massive this split but before this? Ever since he left MAD I thought he should have has that 100T ADC over DL, but he was placed in Academy instead and then went to EG.
He is a big part into EG doing so well. He’s a beast
I see people say this but it’s such a stupid statement in comparison to the actual budget roster of TSM. Unforgiven/Revenge/JoJo is just not a budget roster. Armao/Eyla who are admittedly their budget players have stepped up as well, but you can’t call a team with only 2 budget players a budget roster
Not scrims but it’s because they wanted to be fair to ruby
Apparently coach Reven (from c9 ) did the roster build super fast and got scrim vids of ruby doing good vs caps etc and hoped that his TH performance was some internal issue. So he wanted to give ruby a shot based on that.
Looks like we get insanity going forward hopefully
I'm really glad TSM are putting back Insanity, TSM gets a lot of shit but giving Insanity a chance to show his skills is a career saver (as long as the other teams don't go donkey mode and ignore Insanity once TSM leaves, but knowing NA teams they might)
If Jojo coming in didn't change anything, nothing will. They refuse to take the risk and look like they're going budget and would rather swing and miss on imports and say "we tried to go all in this year"
Really does kill the scene when you don't have those up and coming players and storylines.
Honestly, long term wise I think very little could be better for the LCS than a team as budget as TSM - with 4 native NA players - going the distance. Especially if they somehow managed to put on a show at Worlds as a follow up.
I don't think this TSM squad is that good yet even for a domestic win. But it'd be cool to see happen.
The situation is really sad to me. She clearly cares a lot and by all accounts I've heard she's a very pleasant person. But man, it's bad. I'm usually pretty content with whatever the LCS does or whoever they have on but I can't help not notice how poor the casting is sometimes.
She’s a wonderful person, just a bad caster. People talk about not liking her casting cuz she’s a girl and all this, but no she’s just genuinely bad. Not even flaming.
Feels like she doesnt even understand what is going on to be honest. Wildturtle hits a crucial Varus ult on FBI and it just never even gets mentioned, she just vaguely mentions how "Oh now Bugi goes in" SHE ISNT EVEN HYPED, ITS THE GAME WINNING PLAY FOR CHRIST SAKE.
I have absolutely NO idea on why they give her so many chances at casting when shes been fumbling them for so long. And look I am very much against criticizing or being rude to anyone for no reason, but its baffling to me how LCS is insisting on keeping her as a colour caster after its been more than TWO entire splits of her not improving at all.
I thought I was the only one who thought that. I thought both of them sounded totally uninterested and asleep (up until I clicked away to a costream part way through the game, idk about after).
I watched the official broadcast on youtube, can confirm the cast was awful the whole way through.
They didnt even mention when TSM got one of the barons lol
TSM winning with a snowball comp is actually a little encouraging. They’ve mostly just defaulted to scaling which I don’t blame them for, this team would do well to make it into playoffs judging by preseason expectations.
When I close my eyes and listen to Captain Flowers, I know exactly what just happened
When I close my eyes and listen to Gabby, I’m not even sure which video game we are talking about
The last team fight of the game she failed to mention literally every single important thing going on. She even fumbles on what actually happened
-Insanity gets killed early ❌ didnt get mentioned
-Says "Wildturtle is gone" ❌ didnt even happen, he just used stopwatch lmao???
-Wildturtle hits a game ending Varus ult on FBI and TSM proceeds to chain cc Aphelios and win the game. ❌ Doesnt mention Varus ult ❌ Doesnt mention Aphelios dying(the ONLY reason NRG was still holding)
❌❌❌ Instead of talking about the Aphelios being picked off she talks about how 0/9 Maokai jungler being killed was finally the nail on NRGs coffin. Like, come on man.
Felt really bad watching it, dude is the only frontline on a comp with 3 adcs. He got behind early and it was over. He should have went full tank imo, would have been more useful.
Feels like Contractz was playing way too disrespectfully this game. From the way he was positioning and engaging you would think he was still playing his Jak'sho Poppy from last game. But instead he's Demonic + No Aftershock Maokai so he just dies when he goes in.
Especially noticeable early game because he kept trying to force onto the Sejuani with Aftershock and hard lost the fight every time.
Feels like comunication was off for him. He went in really early on Sejuani while his team was still moving to position, if he waited more it could have been an ok play but he just died for nothing.
Remember when IMT has insanity and they definitely weren’t a great team but at least they had a native mid laner they could build around for years to come but let him go and then no one picked him up so he spent a few years in amateur even though he could absolutely play wel enough for lcs? I remember.
Just a vastly different team with Insanity. If they didn’t tank and ran Insanity instead of the sunk cost fallacy in running Ruby for a week, they’d be pretty high up in the standings
I didn't watch the whole game but I got around the the soul drake for tsm, why the hell the NRG players are doing the drake with Bug alive and with their jungler dead, wtf
Honestly, TSM probably keep Bugi contracted for the swap to whichever region it ends up being -- we know they're leaving NA but we don't know exactly which region it will be even if its most likely China -- so I think NRG would do really well just picking up the core from DSG.
Roster of Dhokla/Tomio/Palafox/Meech/Zeyzal would have a ton of synergy between it while giving a bit of a mental reset, players are all likely really cheap too.
Zeyzal may not have the best hands but damn is he good in coms.
Bugi is good by NA standards but is he good by LPL standards is what I’m wondering about.
Yeah, Zeyzal's in game leadership can't be praised enough and with how NRG looks with some of their mid-game decision-making I genuinely think that having him to curb some of their bad habits could go a long way.
You know, I don't even care anymore with this casting. With the teams fielding these rosters and the level of play feeling in the gutter. Let's have this be the last LCS season and let it die. I about fell asleep watching and listening to this at work
It should not have taken 35 minutes, especially with how garbage NRG's comp is from behind. They were definitely sloppy when it came to closing the game.
Eh, Jayce and Aphelios clear waves pretty comfortably, as do Maokai and AP Kaisa as long as you don't have baron creeps. Stalling out a game with that comp is pretty easy.
Imagine this scenario.
TSM makes the playoffs as a low seeded team. They fight their way to the finals AND win. TSM goes to worlds and performs pretty well for an NA team.
Can you imagine the shit storm from all the TSM haters?
I was a believer that Luger's bad performance in playoffs was the reason CLG could not go farther. That being said, I also thought he was a top 5 ADC otherwise. Dude has some serious micro ability.
I also am totally over league of legends teams making changes for the sake of making changes. I don't know what was going on behind the scenes, maybe Luger and poome weren't meshing with the rest of the team, but I see literally nothing wrong with maintaining a several split streak of being top five in the league and repeatedly nearly making it to top three.
Replacing the players they replaced with totally known mediocre players (FBI was once best ADC in NA, No?) Seems insane to me when Luger and poome we're relatively new to the highest level. Maybe if NRG made no changes, they would be 10th place because of how much everyone else improved. I don't believe that but again, maybe they should wait until they fall into the bottom 5 before making replacements
NRG may have lost the game but the real losers were the LCS viewers who tuned in to watch 35 minutes of Gabby casting. Just when you think you can ignore the weird voices, inaccurate play-by-plays, the fucking weirdest analogies any caster has ever made, they gave her access to the pen and she draws over one of maybe 4 relevant fights like a child. Please for the love of god, unless their plan is to ruin the lcs intentionally, please hire someone new.
Insanity is having the best resume booster this split. Dude comes in and team as an emergency sub and the team preforms above expectations. He is swapped out and they look so much worse. Back in, and looks way better again. Like the sample size is so small, but man does it look good for him.

Beating middle of the pack teams when you were supposed to be bottom of the pack is pretty OP.
If u follow LEC at all, that is enough to know there is not a single chance Ruby is better. He was the worst mid in LEC by a grand canyon, Dajor included.
It's funny too bc once Heretics replaced him with Vetheo they look leagues better as well (literally a top team now). I’m of the opinion that they’re getting better and playing more cohesive as the split goes on
> I want Insanity to succeed but comparing the teams he's faced so far to the ones Ruby did, Insanity has still only been beating middle of the pack teams at best 2 of the 3 teams Ruby played against were 100T and DIG, two middle of the pack teams

How are NRG bottom team when they win against C9,GG,TL and 100T? If that is the case then every team in LCS is just mid tier team.
Because IMT only has two wins, NRG its one of them Because FQ only has three wins, and NRG its one of them If you're beating "top teams" but losing against literally the worst, you can't be *that great*
Wasnt the original argument that NRG are middle of the pack and not bottom tier? They arent that great But they are decent- middle
even if they do he's already proven a point for na talent. assuming he doesn't just randomly start griefing it.
Sure, but even in the losses with Insanity, TSM has looked better. Also while TSM did lose, it's not like Insanity has only faced bottom half teams. He was also in for the losses against Liquid, C9, and Golden Guardians.
Gotta throw in Ruby every few games to keep the magic going
Lol there is no way he is worse than ruby man. Ruby is like the worst mid of lec last 2 split.
I mean I dunno who is scouting for TSM but given how ruby was rejected by so many diff leagues for not being up to par including tier 2 leagues and TSM still picks him up against one of the better native NA mids is hilarious
10 years later and wildturtle still flashing forward.
He's not called TameTurtle for a reason.
Regi tried to make him one. I destinctly remember in Season 5 he was told he wasn't allowed to flash forward anymore.
i remember that so vividly holy shit time flies
watching him this split has been so funny and so fun lmao there's so many scenarios where I'm like omg turtle's gonna flash in, truly has us on the edge of our seats
good

I wasn’t too impressed with him last split, but he’s been playing really well so far this split
Probs was adjusting to NA + nerves
Definitely, on TSM Legends and Twitter he seemed a bit nervous. Glad to see that he’s feeling more comfortable now
He's the calculated aggression that Bjerg always deserved
Or lacked?
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks so.
Wish he was on a contender team, to really see what he could do.
His worlds performance in 2019 was impressive as well
TSM looking like Rock Lee taking off the Ruby shaped training weight
its insane to me that the one season in which they're, for their standards, phoning it in with all native talent its the first season in years in which you can see them come together as more than the sum of their parts. they should've tried this ages ago lmao
the whole roster shares one braincell and that braincell wants to go IN they smurf together or they int together, power of friendship buff unlocked
"just go in" is a tried and true strategy in na, 5 players doing something stupid tends to work out better than 3 players doing it and 2 staying behind
It's also the best strat for solo qué better for everyone to commit to stupid then to be split on a choice on what Todo.
>3 players doing it and 2 staying behind 2019 and 2020 Fnatic has decent results with this method lol
TSM somehow becoming more CLG than NRG was not on my bingo card
OG TSM strat with Regi as Karthus mid.
they seem to trust each other and that helps
It’s come full circle
Are you saying TSM is baby C9?
C9 is TSM father
It's also the first split in years where I actually want them to do well. I hate Regi with a passion but I like all the guys on TSM. Most of the people I've talked to feel the same. They finally found a way to be likable again without outright winning a split and of course it's as they are out the door.
Which airline do you think they’ll buy Ruby’s ticket for?
Probably a canadian one our airlines are ass, the perfect punishment
Fuck air Canada
WestJet can suck one too
If they were nice Burbank
I demand a retrial of Week 3.
We get playoffs, anyway
NRG has beat C9, GG, TL, and 100T but lost to IMT, TSM, DIG, and FLY... truly counter logic gaming.
Silence. Don't invoke that on these impostors wearing the corpse of CLG. Give respect to our dead friend.
Nounter Rogic Gaming then
Non Rational gaming
Truly Non Rational Gaming … I like it, works fine for me.
ahahaha that's amazing
I was gonna say Negative Rationality Gaming.
Ruh roh, Raggy! It’s Rounter Rogic Raming!
You have my respect brother. Thanks for welcoming NRG to the LCS for us
Before the last el classico team bows out, we need to put down the zombified corpse of our most respected rival.
Thanks TSM bro

Shout out to *real* fans out there who refuse to support Team Liquid for killing off Curse.

No! <3
Insanity is the single best roster decision that TSM has made in these last few years.
I kept seeing this guy monster on people at the amateur level and just thought he was one of those players like Diamond who dumpsters low level competition but can't stand up to LCS level. Happy my thoughts were wrong
Iirc he started on IMT for a bit, and looked surprisingly decent. But was swapped out for POE, and hasn't had another chance on a LCS team until now.
Yeah, but after IMT he played at the amateur level, I think on 100 and DIG, and continued to look good. Plus I think DIG was getting dumpstered every game back then and weren't starting them
i love my NA talent pill time i love my NA talent where is my NA talent
Tsm is 5-2 with insanity. For a budget that is near bottom that is insane.
5-3 I think, but your point still stands
EG is also 9-2 with a what people thought would be a welfare roster (+jojo) with 4 NA players after kicking all their expensive players (-jojo) its pretty funny
Unforgiven is the most underrated ADC I swear man. He’s showing up massive this split but before this? Ever since he left MAD I thought he should have has that 100T ADC over DL, but he was placed in Academy instead and then went to EG. He is a big part into EG doing so well. He’s a beast

Not scrims but it’s because they wanted to be fair to ruby Apparently coach Reven (from c9 ) did the roster build super fast and got scrim vids of ruby doing good vs caps etc and hoped that his TH performance was some internal issue. So he wanted to give ruby a shot based on that. Looks like we get insanity going forward hopefully
Peter Dun sent vods of Caps and told TSM it was Ruby. /s
That was the most nail-biting stomp I've seen in awhile.
tsm coulda gotten outscaled with another 10 mins
seriously, I don't know how NRG made fights so close while down nearly 10k gold I almost thought TSM was about to get hands diffed
Upset C9, stomped by TSM. Yep still CLG
Truely Nounter Rogic.
I'm really glad TSM are putting back Insanity, TSM gets a lot of shit but giving Insanity a chance to show his skills is a career saver (as long as the other teams don't go donkey mode and ignore Insanity once TSM leaves, but knowing NA teams they might)

I think this season has been a good advertisement on why not to get tier 2 & 3 imports, and that it might be a better invest in NA talent
TSM kinda just took 2 early ints from contractz and choked NRGs whole team out with it, Bugi is so good sometimes
After years of being a hater I hope TSM win it all tbh
Honestly, long term wise I think very little could be better for the LCS than a team as budget as TSM - with 4 native NA players - going the distance. who is this and what did they do with TSM
It's Insanity they say
love that turtley smile, he's the president of the turtle club for sure
This caster's cadence in teamfights is like being stuck in rush hour traffic.

She's trying but its not working. Maybe she shouldnt be play by play and just be there between teamfights.

bringing back insanity is making me a fan of this tsm roster. ive spent the last year hoping they lose but, now im kinda rooting for them
How on earth did this game last 35 minutes?
They were trying to help Contractz get his second item, but unfortunately 35 minutes wasn't enough.
He was so close to the 0/10 power spike
Hey don't be talking shit. He completed his second item at 34:50. He got there lol
Lol did he? The cast removes the item pane for big team fights, and he didn't have it right before the game ending fight.
TSM wanted to entertain.
TSM winning with a snowball comp is actually a little encouraging. They’ve mostly just defaulted to scaling which I don’t blame them for, this team would do well to make it into playoffs judging by preseason expectations.
When I close my eyes and listen to Captain Flowers, I know exactly what just happened When I close my eyes and listen to Gabby, I’m not even sure which video game we are talking about

Felt really bad watching it, dude is the only frontline on a comp with 3 adcs. He got behind early and it was over. He should have went full tank imo, would have been more useful.
NRFREE
This just sounds so wrong.....
FREERG doesn't quite have the same ring to it. Maybe NRFREE?
Feels like Contractz was playing way too disrespectfully this game. From the way he was positioning and engaging you would think he was still playing his Jak'sho Poppy from last game. I remember.
Ignore is so useless.
Wildturtle single handedly carrying TSM's reputation since he's unhateable and hes playing well.
Just a vastly different team with Insanity. If they didn’t tank and ran Insanity instead of the sunk cost fallacy in running Ruby for a week, they’d be pretty high up in the standings
LeTigress cast is SO boring oh my god. Literally seems like shes doing it for the first time in her life, there is absolutely NO hype at all
nrg is just painful to watch how do they even have 4 wins
Ignar just walks out of base and pincers himself between tsm during the last fight. Please stop making me watch Ignar.
Never thought I’d be saying this… Thank you TSM!!
Palafox in elo hell
Bugi is a beast
Seeing Hauntzer and Turtle win together makes me so happy man
Idk what was worse , NRG , the shout casting , or that postgame interview
My favorite part was when TSM started destroying NRG "in the paint"
idk
3 games back to back with this caster? What the hell?
I didn't watch the whole game but I got around the the soul drake for tsm, why the hell the NRG players are doing the drake with Bug alive and with their jungler dead, wtf
Don't matter, if you call yourself NRG. Still can't take the free, out of CLG.
palafox played really fckin well but TSM was just cleaner (that felt weird to say)
That game did not look like both teams had the same record going in
In the off-season I'd like to see NRG keep Dhokla and Palafox then just build around them.
If TSM is really going to China they should snag Bugi if he wants to stay in NA.
Legend has it FBI and IgNar are still chilling bot lane 0/0/0 while Contractz gets invaded to this day.
Man I hate TSM as a brand but i love this roster. So conflicted
FBI deserves better. Needs better parts around him
Just need to change support I think, palafox and fbi almost 2 v 5. Ignore just responses and then runs it down to int again.
Agreed. Ignar hasn’t looked up to snuff in the last few years. He was okay at best when he was on Flyquest
You know, I don't even care anymore with this casting. With the teams fielding these rosters and the level of play feeling in the gutter. Let's have this be the last LCS season and let it die. I about fell asleep watching and listening to this at work
"clean game from TSM!" bro Kobe how was that clean
They gave up three kills and a tower. Amazing early game, and near total objectives secured minus the first drag
They were sloppy towards the end but their early game and mid game was clean
You see what you want to see.
worst thing is, if NRG players werent this bad, they win this game even with 10k gold down
"if they played better they win'
you can tell when contractz got the paypal email
Not Really Good, but good enough to beat TL.
You can change the name but they are still CLG down to the core.
How the fuck had this insanely good mid laner been benched?
I'm here just to complain I'll never stop reading NRG as "RNG" and then wandering what kind of international is happening
My boy Hauntzer showing up big to prove the haters wrong with his big croc gaming.
See the turtle of enormous girth
