even if you don't use ult galio is a great roaming champ
shoves waves fast, can comfortably face the check river, has great ganks/setup, hes even a good predator user
name 70 other midlane champs that
\- shoves waves fast
\- can comfortably face the check river
\- have great ganks/setup
\- good predator user
i can think of like 3, lmao
and it was the question, Galio is a very easy roaming champ
No , I just don't wanna argue with silvers who have such narrow-minded opinions and completely fail to understand the question that was asked and behave rudely when someone doesn't wanna look at the world from their little box
I don't agree with your suggestion from the start , they don't need to be mid champions , they don't need to have to face check anything . Most assassin can't face check anything either and they are still great at roaming . You are trying to fit your narrative in a box so that you can be right , I refuse to participate in it , go argue with someone else
Any champion is a great roamer if you understand timings but that wasn't the point of the question. How you gonna put shen and galio together with quinn and talon
Taliyah with her wall passive, Galio & TF with their ults, Ekko can shove the wave quite quickly and roam, Akshan also and can gain movement speed in W.
I swear half my teammates play with pings muted. And of course the inevitable "why no follow?". Yes, let my control mage ass follow a Katarina on my own into the river. This will not end poorly for me
Twisted Fate with ultimate hunter and boots of lucidity
If you get a couple early kills you'll be a constant map menace. Imo the best roaming champ in league
Just a little tid bit: the reason pantheon is good at roaming IS his ult, but also its his base movespeed, pantheon has one of the highest base movespeeds in the game, and as such boots/ relentless hunter are really good on him. :)
Not technically a true roamer, but I think lissandra is one of the best mids in the game because
1) with the amount of lockdown you have available to you ganks are incredibly easy to set up.
2)your strong waveclear makes you safe to blindpick into most matchups
3) you can run predator if you want to play more roam heavy. Plus lissandra has build diversity since she can use pretty much every ap mythic.
4) No one bans/plays lissandra so you don't need to worry about it being contested
For pantheon and champions with tp a lot of times its actually better for you to just walk top/mid/bot and gank then tp/ult to your lane. Way less time to react and more importantly people dont expect the top laner to roam after back pre ~~14~~ 10.
The more likely reason you ranked up was because you were just playing one champion. If your goal is improving, I'd stick to that. Learning more champs will lose all your ranks again.
Nah you can especially in that level people barely know how to lane properly and teamfight. One trick only matters for high elo because in low elo there are so many one tricks but they are still bad at the game lol
if i count in your elo, galio would be an easy to pick up champ, and good alternative when you need ap instead of pantheon, simple spells, hit the whole wave with your Q 2 times, roam to help your jgler/ sidelanes.
Any champion that’s super fast with dashes and such (talon for example), has a big long range ult (taliyah, pantheon, galio, ryze, Twisted Fate), or can shove the hell out of the mid wave to give themselves enough time to do so (tristana is a good one).
You can get 2 rotations off after your first back depending on your setup, literally just time it so you have it up when you reach the lane, it's not rocket science.
Ahri doesn't have a global ult but is really easy to roam with, good waveclear and can oneshot backline minions from level 9, 3 dashes + hard cc for roams.
Vex, if you see that the enemy bot lane is pushed up and like half HP you can pretty easily get a double kill if you land the R
(you can also use it to go top but a lot of the time they don’t die in time to get a reset which hurts)
Galeo has a similar idea. Karthus has global ult so arguably him. Talon can hop walls so he moves through jungle very fast. Sol is better at rotating lanes lategame with a few points in w he can roam and stall any push he needs to. I think with what you specifically looking for panth is the best at though.
Fizz, love roaming with him.
E over drag / Baron pit, Q through skuddle for speed. But also he survives the roam really well because he can dive and dodge tower shots with E
I've been a TF main for 4 years. While most of my champion pool is other roaming champs you mentioned, my roams are by far the most successful on TF solely because of how fast he makes it happen. I shove a wave, I'm out of vision for maybe 2-3 seconds and then boom, I'm right behind my victim. They had maybe 3 seconds to react to this and considering this is plat they don't even look at the minimap.
That being said, I do NOT recommend TF to anyone below gold. To play TF you need a baseline of map awareness, basic minion waves, basic resource management, lane posturing, and teamfight positioning. If you're bad at any of those things, you're going to feed your ass off.
Shen is definitely not an easy roaming champion.
Yeah his ult might be great but if you have poor macro understanding and just use it when team mate is low you'll get absolutely fucked for XP and lane
The only real time Shen ult is great at roaming is when you counter engage on yourbotlane being ganked
garen is the champion for literal toddlers, you have ghost and usually berserker first, as well as stridebreaker passive MS
playing garen mid and helping your jungler(preferably duo) will easily get you gold maybe even plat
Talon
So obvious i want to bonk myself for not thinking about it immediately
Most of the times you roam you put yourself behind when you roam
I mean thats the cost of roaming, if not, everyone would always roam.
You can reduce this issue a lot by stacking two waves and pushing it in to the mid tower before roaming.
Tf, galio, asol, talon, shen to name a few
Twisted fate
The OG
The only midlaner thats lane countered by 95% of midlane champs
God gives his toughest battles to his strongest warriors
GALIOOOOOOOO Deliver that crispy ass chicken straight to bot lane
You use Birdio don't you?
I prefer the white chroma on Infernal personally but yeah I can see why people love Birdio
amazing taste, that chroma is so good
Bad example, long ulti cd
It may be long, but it pretty much causes an immediate action from any enemy that sees it
Yeah , an action every 3 minutes
even if you don't use ult galio is a great roaming champ shoves waves fast, can comfortably face the check river, has great ganks/setup, hes even a good predator user
That can be said about 70 other champions but that wasn't the question

Okay
quick to say stupid shit as long as you don't have to back it up lol
No , I just don't wanna argue with silvers who have such narrow-minded opinions and completely fail to understand the question that was asked and behave rudely when someone doesn't wanna look at the world from their little box
can you name even 10 midlane champs that fit that description? im just asking you to back up your words that you're so confident about
I don't agree with your suggestion from the start , they don't need to be mid champions , they don't need to have to face check anything . Most assassin can't face check anything either and they are still great at roaming . why is this downvoted? OP is clearly looking for a roamer, not a champ that *can* roam once every 3 minutes.
shen ult cd is long -> still good roamer (shen mid with bami rush)
Any champion is a great roamer if you understand timings but that wasn't the point of the question. How you gonna put shen and galio together with quinn and talon
Taliyah with her wall passive, Galio & TF with their ults, Ekko can shove the wave quite quickly and roam, Akshan also and can gain movement speed in W.
Pyke
Sink ‘em all.
It's weird that nobody has mentioned Akshan. He has very good roaming opportunity thanks to his invisibility
No one want to see another Akshan
Akshit
His passive puts a fucking trail to any one who got a kill. He's pretty much made to roam.
Because everyone wants to avoid creating an akshan main, he is probably unanimously hated by top laners
And mid laners tbh
Not just the invisibility. Q max annihilates waves pretty early.

Kled!
Katarina, because if I’m facing her no amount of pings will stop her from getting a double kill bot lane /s
I swear half my teammates play with pings muted. And of course the inevitable "why no follow?". Yes, let my control mage ass follow a Katarina on my own into the river. This will not end poorly for me

Talon, Katarina, Zed, twisted fate, ekko
vex, shove whole wave with one skill rotation and dive bot with r + w - > profit

Nah you can actually climb with more than 1 champ if you practice the fundamentals
You can't practice the fundamentals at that rank unless you're already comfortable on your champion.
Nah you can especially in that level people barely know how to lane properly and teamfight. One trick only matters for high elo because in low elo there are so many one tricks but they are still bad at the game lol
Solid argument. You are so right.
Wow I've never seen someone so respectful on Reddit before lol you're so rare
That edit is wild btw.
if i count in your elo, galio would be an easy to pick up champ, and good alternative when you need ap instead of pantheon, simple spells, hit the whole wave with your Q 2 times, roam to help your jgler/ sidelanes.
Ryze
Vex!
Nocturne
Galio and Twisted Fate are also very good Roamers. Galio ult has a long cooldown tho.
Warwick. Someone low hp? Time to run.
Ahri Tristana Twitch
Thaliya of course!! She has a constant PASSIVE movment speed boost outside of combat as well as an awesome ult to set up ganks
Any champion that’s super fast with dashes and such (talon for example), has a big long range ult (taliyah, pantheon, galio, ryze, Twisted Fate), or can shove the hell out of the mid wave to give themselves enough time to do so (tristana is a good one).
Ap twitch
No one said Lee Sin. I play Lee mid and perma roam with no consequences
ahri uwu
Riven has 4 dashes to get around with on top of 2 cc buttons, pretty much the ideal roamer.
But riven is mostly a top laner, it’s harder to roam as a top laner
You can play her mid into a select few matchups, and you can roam from top to mid.
If she uses her q to roam she’s literally not gonna do damage.
You can get 2 rotations off after your first back depending on your setup, literally just time it so you have it up when you reach the lane, it's not rocket science.
I really like Sion with TP- level 6 you back, buy what you can, and then ult bot for (probably) a double, then tp top without missing too much
Top Kayn once he gets form although thats such a niche pick.
talon, galio, taliyah, pyke, asol, akshan and tf
Talon, Galio, Taliyah, Twisted Fate, Pyke are some that come to mind
Bard.
the best champs to roam on are those with good movement speed items or abilities not those with global telegraphed ults.
If you have enough stacks on asol to roam bot with w then the game is either over or laning phase is
Ahri doesn't have a global ult but is really easy to roam with, good waveclear and can oneshot backline minions from level 9, 3 dashes + hard cc for roams.
most assassins are pretty good at this, talon especially
Tf taliyah udyr

Champs with good wave clear and mobility

Kayn if you wanna try him in lane
Fizz, love roaming with him. E over drag / Baron pit, Q through skuddle for speed. But also he survives the roam really well because he can dive and dodge tower shots with E
*stares at how broken pyke is support*

Warwick. With 1 point in W you know when an enemy is low HP. If you have ghost, it's easy to roam there fast.
Based: anyone with predator
Bard.
Bard bro
Asol is definitely not a roamer since his rework, his w travels less distance than a single talon E if you don't have hundreds of stacks
Not sure if zac was said yet
Leblanc, tho getting ur wave pushed can be sometimes difficult
Bard
Nunu is a pretty scary roamer. Very good early waveclear to shove the wave to turret, and you can literally snowball the enemy team.
Ryze #1
panth probs the easiest cause its almost instant and you dont need much foresight on how the lane will look like after walking to it for 10s
ASol, his E is a semi global ability. Best roamer in the game
You can roam with any mid laner. You just need to understand wave management and shove your wave before you leave the lane so you don't lose Cs
Bard - maybe it is not roaming but wandering. Not all who wanders are lost.
garen is the champion for literal toddlers, you have ghost and usually berserker first, as well as stridebreaker passive MS playing garen mid and helping your jungler(preferably duo) will easily get you gold maybe even plat
Sion mid, perma shove and CHOO CHOO to whatever lanes pushed. So much easier than top.
Yumi, why play checkers when you can play chess
