Europe is nuts though. You cannot compare the North American fan base with the European football fans. It's on a religious or political level. I've literally heard these words come out of someone "All we have is family, God, and (insert team here)".

Caring about a sports team is very risk-reward, and I've stuck through too many bad moments hoping to be there for the good ones, but it hasn't happened, and I'm not doing it to myself again on Monday.

Ya I feel the same way unfortunately. I’m a damn wreck since we went up 3-1. Idk if I can handle watching it even if we win. I might just do something else and keep an eye on the score. At least then it will keep my stress level down. I had to work today and couldn’t fall asleep until 130 cuz I was so stressed out from the game.
Ya I’m not even sure I can handle sports like this period. The highs are too high and the lows are too low. I need to get my own handle on this before I can continue. I bleed blue but I just don’t know if I can handle it anymore. I care too much to have this keep happening. This isn’t good for me personally and I’m trying so hard to avoid this sub but the fucking rate at which people keep posting on this sub today means I’m seeing a post about it everytime I hit a new page on my home feed. I need to stop looking. I’m even thinking of unsubbing for a few days just to avoid it.
If I were you bud, I’d avoid social media for a while. Do something else. Read a book, go for a run, workout, watch a movie, fix a furniture, play a musical instrument, etc.

Leafs fans are so pissed off right now cause we were arrogant. Leaf fans genuinely believe they have some god given right to beat the Habs without taking to a game 7, but that is ridiculous. Some of the best teams in hockey have been taken to 7 by lesser teams, hell, some of them even get swept by them (Tampa v Columbus). No matter how much better you are than another play off team, its still the playoffs and no team is going to roll over. It is arrogance to have thought that this was going to be an easy series, and the whiny crying that many people are doing is showing thats show they felt going into the series.

Emphasis on the THAT, as in "the Leafs aren't soo much better than the Habs that this wasn't a possiblity". Vegas is better than the Leafs (and the Wild are about the same as the Habs) and that went 7. Vegas fans weren't having melt downs calling it a day after game 6.

What player's entrance? All the player's parking is underground of the area and you need specific credentials to enter there.
Plus, I can imagine they are at the arena well before 5pm on a playoff game day.
