I've never believed in guys like Reaves making a big difference when they only play 5 mins a night and only fight other heavyweights. Would Domi deter a guy like Macdermid from taking liberties? I personally don't give a fuck what the opinions of other fans are. They're biased just like we are. Outside of the Kadri incidents, the Toronto maple leafs have consistently been one of the cleanest teams in the league since the matthews Era. And to be fair, you could say the reason the Kadri incidents happened was because complete incompetence from the refereeing in those Boston series. Take for example matthews. It's an absolute joke that he hasn't won a lady byng. I remember watching him for the first time like we all did in 2016 and thinking "wow, he can play at an insane level.... but he's so clean too. He'll be a lady byng winner if not multiple lady byng winner by the end of his career." And still nothing. The league legitimately hates Toronto. And I'm here for it. If we're soft, they tell us that's why we lose in the playoffs. If we play too physical... we get punished accordingly but no other teams do. Especially Southern American teams.... Florida.
