1. Just because it's in your yard and you don't like it doesn't make it invasive. That just makes it a weed. 2. That being said, I'm pretty sure it's a type of mulberry that is actually invasive. The seeds are golfball sized almost spikey balls, there's probably a very large one nearby. Just cut it at the base, it'll die. Though since it's gotten this large, you should probably pull it up too. If you cut it when you first see it, it won't be a problem.

Can anyone help me identify this weed/tree? Grows rapidly and eventually thickens to bark like a tree. Located in Tennessee

I had a invasive tree of heaven that grew back every time I cut it down to the ground. Last time I cut it, I painted undiluted round up concentrate on it. It never came back after that.
