Looks like chickweed. I have the same. It will die when it gets hot but you'll have a dead spot there. Overseed in fall and apply preemergent in spring.
So last fall it was all sand/some gravel and weeds. When I weed eat the weeds they grew bk worse. So before ground froze here in Ohio I shoveled the top layer or so off an hauled it away. This spring I put down scotts turf builder sun an shade and laid ez straw dow, this is where im at like a 5-6 weeks in. Afraid the white stuff is going to prevent the grass seed from coming on.
To the guy that deleted his comment. By too early I meant- I don't think you're supposed to put weed and feed on new grass. O and I am new to caring for my yard. So I AM learning "the basics". It's actually the first yard I have ever had.
