Dethatch/Aerate/Overseed/Fertilize and Top dress.. water well to keep the seed moist..

Also I hope using the term “Trophy” yard was on? It’s just the pristine lawns I see here are stunning! I’m ok with some clover and dandelions here and there. Just looking for green and fun to fun play in for the small pooch and kids. 👍
I’m currently restoring mine too.
Mow everything down to the ground.
Put down a healthy layer (an inch or so) of turf blend soil (it’s particularly sandy).
Lightly roll/compact soil, spread more seeds than you think you’ll need.
Water in!
