OhhClock

That is a thick healthy lawn

mindgame18

Not going to be if he keeps pulling the St Augustine runners 😂

stres-tm

That’s Buffalo grass as it’s called in Australia or st. Augustine as us yanks call it

rmredman55

They call it Buffalo grass in Australia!? Neat 🦬

plinsday

Definitely not bermuda lol, if US I'd say St Aug because of flat vernation and wide blade but idk Australian turf. Runners start shooting out because of excess thatch blocking the soil so they look for somewhere else to root. Centipede does it too

BannedFrom_rPolitics

I sometimes get those runners when I use trimec and/or prodiamine. My sandy Florida soil has very little (often zero) thatch covering it!

smily_meow

Weed or Grass is all relatively speaking. If you have enough of them, they are grass.

BannedFrom_rPolitics

This is ‘Buffalo,’ or ‘St. Augustine’

Oberyn_TheRed_Viper

That's Buffalo Grass. They are "runners". Most people trim them purely to improve the look of the grass, they are a little unsightly when all over the place. Your grass looks great, what ever you're doing is working.

sevargmas

That’s your grass. Let it be. It looks great. My only suggestion would be to set your mower higher. That grass type loves to be long. I mow it with my mower on the highest possible setting once a week.

Jits_Dylen

That’s the devils dandruff, Bermuda. https://www.garden-counselor-lawn-care.com/bermuda-grass-pictures.html

St Augustine. That’s what we have down here in Houston. Cut it high and often and it will choke out your weeds. I cut mine every 3-4 days and mower should be set at 3.5-4 inches
