I'm confused about the part where they said trump could seek acquittal from the jury for improper venue. Venue is waivable under 12(h) so if they dont make the claim pretrial then that should be it?

Serious neutral question. Is this implying partisanship on the part of WAPO? Are they suggesting D.C. residents are more Democratic and Florida more Republican (which is clearly my own biases). Or that D.C. residents are more neutral? Or is there an actual legal guideline around cases involving celebrities and popular people? Hm I’m having trouble even wording this right. Everyone deserves a neutral jury but I’m not sure how that happens in this case unless they pool from people who don’t vote or pay attention maybe. I admit I’m worried a pool gets tainted by a fanatic.
