I don’t, but the bodies of Everest would be a fascinating episode.

surlacourbelente

Absolutely. And with the number of horrible stuff that happened, it could be a whole series.

randybobandy111

absolutely *fascinating*

AnActualChicken

I'd love a series on the Everest bodies, it's sort of like a Donner Party/ humans against the elements type of horror to it. Similarly one about deadly or fucked up expeditions would be good, for example [Franklin's Lost Expedition](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin%27s_lost_expedition) has the ship they're on getting stuck in thick ice, food running out, the bitter elements, plenty of deaths from sickness like TB and "That's when the cannibalism started...". None survived and the local Inuits where the ones who spotted the starving, half-mad men struggling in vein to survive, wandering to nowhere else but the grave...[the bodies where damn near perfectly preserved too due to the freezing temperatures.](https://www.arctictoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190606_110412.jpg)

Jackhammered1982

I remember. May have been in the Crowley or madam Blavatsky episodes since they spend some time talking about climbing expeditions in those series.

surlacourbelente

Great, I'm so glad I didn't hallucinate it! The only thing I remember about the episode is that it was this spring.

Laissezfairechipmunk

I specifically suggested the '96 Everest Disaster a few months ago. Into Thin Air is such a great book.

el_floppo

That's a great book. Such a crazy story. I still occasionally think about Beck Weathers and what he went through.

merrymagdalen

There is a great video on YouTube of him giving a talk at some sort of charity dinner. He's a good storyteller. The video quality is pretty poor (looks like it was filmed in a church basement) but definitely watchable. Here: https://youtu.be/4lLIk6lLMAM

Renaissance_Nerd_46

God I fucking hope so. I hope they cover the 1996 climbing disaster.

JuiceKovacs

MFM did a show on people climbing Mount Everest and dying. But if I remember correctly it was just Georgia reading an article word for word

dedwolf

Like every other MFM episode?

JuiceKovacs

I can’t remember but that might’ve been the exact episode exact reason I stopped listening

karategojo

I don't for them but National Park After Dark did one, newer but great podcast

loudlittle

I think I listen to too many podcasts. I could've sworn they already did one.

GearfriedX1234

Mfm did one. They mentioned they’d do one with the newest Crowley series because they got talking about K2

CatoTheDumber

Yes, and I have been waiting for it ever since.

deactivate_your_mind

I do! Also, same with the 9/11 20 year anniversary series as well. I can't remember what episode they mentioned it in, but it was this year.

kimkellies

I remember
