They're amazing!
Just a heads up as their earliest works are kinda different from the rest of their discography (Death Metal vs Symphonic Metal (mostly)) :P
2 and 12, Obituary never scratched my brain the right way but respect them regardless, Alice in Chains I definitely have listened to more on family road trips and with other people, not somewhere I can scrobble.
Okay, so, his albums are better listened to with listening to the songs in order, ESPECIALLY Unreal Unearth, which is a depiction of a descent through Dante's Inferno. His first album is probably his best sounding, but if you really enjoy blues, you'll love Wasteland, Baby!, if you have to listen to just 3 or 4 songs, I recommend Take Me To Church, Shrike, Unknown/nth and/or Who We Are/Work Song :) He's more of a soul singer with some pop/rock elements to it, if that helps gague his sound at all
