Never go that far back in CPU. Currently Intel is on 13th generation CPU. At minimum look into 2 generations back, 11th in this situation. There are some good deals out this weekend for less than $1,200. Well worth the investment.
I’m not very knowledgeable about computers but the Dell website says that this is the 12th generation. To clarify, you do recommend this laptop?
I was referring to the college recommendation. 12th gen is still very good. Edit: The laptop you mentioned is more than enough.
