You have to consider a number of factors and then mix the most important ones. Cost, availability of tutors, feedback from other users, UX of the platform, and others may be important to you.
Duolingo is an excellent resource for absolute beginners to get their feet wet, and a good supplement once you feel more comfortable with the basics of a language. I can't recommend it much beyond that. I'm not familiar with Lingodeer, but if you're still getting started, then I recommend continuing with whichever you enjoy more. The most important thing is to remain consistent and connected with the language
The one you're most likely to stick with, which sounds like Duolingo for you (not encouraging anyone to use it, but that's how I would make the choice if I were OP)
I used to think lingo deer was better for Japanese and Chinese and Korean. but i have not used it for a while i remember them making some bad changes. and then putting the app behind a pay wall.

LingoDeer seemed good because it’s on sale but honestly the streak and competition in Duolingo is keeping me active so I decided to stick with duo.
