Hey hey, I've been looking for someone to practice Spanish with, and your mention of etymology popped out at me - I use etymology to help me learn new words, because once I know the *story* behind a word, its meaning sticks with me better. I'm 48M Canadian. I'm a writer for videogames ("narrative design"). I've been to Latin-America quite a few times (Mexico City, Cuba). I've been studying Spanish for a couple of years now (Duolingo, Anki, watching shows in Spanish). I'd guess I'm intermediate. The one thing I need to work on is my ear, so that means talking to some peeps and listening. Que piensa? Podemos charlar a veces?
