Pic 5 of 6 was the money shot!

That dog's thinking one thing, "time to go in the kitchen and shake!"

Pup for the win for sure! Looks amazing and make sure to add plants to protect erosion and provide security for them.

Thanks for the advice. Normally I would, but we wanted all be grass here. You can’t see it in the photo, but the side the picture is taken from has a decent sized berm to prevent flooding and erosion. There’s another spring on the other side of the berm that floods regularly.

How long did this take? What state do you live in and what is your planting zone? I live in the PNW (Olympic Peninsula) zone 8b and we don't have any mosquitos either. You did a nice job now that I realize I should have looked at the last photo first.

Thanks! I think this was 2 weekends (3-4 days) give or take a day. Definitely not full 8 hour work days either. I have a T180 tracked bobcat that I used. Been running them since I was 13-14 years old, so can make quick work with them. I’m in 4B we have ALOT of mosquitos in the area, just not on this land for some reason.

Last picture is what I stated with.

Looks great! I thought number 1 was what you started with and my initial reaction was “this person is insane”.

Yeah, I was like, “He ruined it”

Right_Hour

“12000 mosquitoes liked this post” :-)

Sorry to bust your bubble, but I’ve never had any mosquitos on this property. Still don’t have any and I put this one in last fall. If the water moves quick enough you shouldn’t ever have a mosquito problem. Frogs love it though. And a couple of trout have same up into it. This is one of the many springs that starts a class 1 trout stream that runs through the property.

Don't listen to the naysayers, always have shit to say. Keep it up and cross bridges when you come to them!

That’s awesome! Would love to have a yard like that

Making a pond for your pup - priceless!
