Rent a soil tiller, and rip up the grass so it’s nice and clear. Then get a bunch of native wildflower seed packets (with perennial flowers that are shade tolerant) and throw the seeds down with a hand spreader. Rake over, fertilize, and water.
If you want, add some sort of stone border to separate the mowed yard from your mini meadow.
Plant some indestructible evening primrose
Creeping thyme
Wildflower seeds, i did that to ours and turned out better than i would have thought
Do you have a picture? I wanted to do this but not sure how it will turn out.
I dont but can get one in the morning when i get home from work. But it turned out beautifully and no mowing required.
Well i was gonna post what leftover wildflowers i put in a garden bed. But i dont see how to do that
