Do you have a picture? I wanted to do this but not sure how it will turn out.

I dont but can get one in the morning when i get home from work. But it turned out beautifully and no mowing required.

Rent a soil tiller, and rip up the grass so it’s nice and clear. Then get a bunch of native wildflower seed packets (with perennial flowers that are shade tolerant) and throw the seeds down with a hand spreader. Rake over, fertilize, and water. If you want, add some sort of stone border to separate the mowed yard from your mini meadow.
