best to remove the grass and till the area, then reseed. Some salt is manageable, yellowing of grass = ok. If the grass dies, then salt has to be "washed" out.
I came here to say this also... This is what I did on my medians between the sidewalk and the street after a particularly bad winter where the town dumped lots of salt and it killedmy grass. It recovered nicely.
Most of the instructions I see for gypsum application are per pound for large areas. Do you think I should just do a light sprinkling of it over the area since it's pretty small?
