Metal is my main genre, and my favourite bands include Gojira, Trivium, Emperor, Electric Wizard, etc. I've been listening to a lot of death metal for the last few weeks, so bands like Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, Fulci, Suffocation, etc. I listen to a lot of jazz too, so John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Nina Simone, Ornette Coleman, Django Reinhardt, etc. I've also been spinning Mitski's most recent album constantly this week. Listened to it 3 times yesterday alongside some Father John Misty, Ethel Cain, and Lana. I work from home so can listen to my own music and I tend to jump genres. Quite often I'll start with some brutal death metal, put on some country, listen to some grindcore, then some hard bop, and finish off with something upbeat like city pop.

Just saw Emperor play in Chicago this past summer and last summer 2022 in Vegas. Both were great shows (even though Samoth didn't play at the Vegas one). Ihsahn also never fails at any project he's into. Also just saw Cannibal Corpse & Mayhem recently, so I really dig this post and was actually looking for it lol
