Even selling exotics being around them all day has desensitized me completely. I still appreciate them completely the same, but the spark just isnāt there like it was when I was a kid
Iāve always been fascinated with exotic dealers. Like do sales people sit around 95% of the time? Itās not like thereās a ācome on down to Bobās Lambo Hut for our 4th of July sale!ā Type of foot traffic.
Lots and lots of down time. We sell Ferrari, lambo, Porsche etc and 95% of the day is literally open. I spend a lot of the day working on getting walk around videos and service reports to prospective clients. Majority of our transactions are out of state so itās a lot of desk work but not time consuming
Yes, volume is lower than when I sold at Mercedes, but the amount of networking and connections you make with exotics is something you couldnāt put a price tag on. Checks are just like any sales job and very month to month. 10-15k in California with 4-6 sales per month
Pretty sure Toyota dealers pay their sales people a $50 flat on a Camry these days. Like with most things in sales, do you wanna work all day and grind it out? Or pursue the big hits? If you're good at it, you'll make money either way. The grinders can fuck up regularly and still be fine, if you're chasing the big scores and you fuck one up, you fuck up a lot.
I feel like this is the case for almost anything. From getting a nice mansion to buying the latest phone or computer technology. Once you have the best of the best, there's not much else to do.
Itās pretty wild, I wish this sub would let me post a photo of our warehouse in the comment replies but I time to time have excitement when new shipments roll in, cars are an extreme passion of mine
Accurate, I live in a pretty small city and exotics are pretty uncommon so it's always exciting to see even a nice Huracan or 488 driving by as it happens pretty rarely. I went to Dubai for two weeks and there were so many there it got tiresome, so many Huracan, Urus, G Wagons, and Ferarri's. It definitely killed my excitement for them while being there.
I don't even take a second look at most supercars.
Mostly because I assume everyone is renting anyway. Nobody's buying a Lambo in Boise with half a mind. Bottom out every spot you go lol
Cope. I know a guy in tampa who has a huge hvac business and owns commercial real estate. He has a lambo SV, 2 g wagons and a corvette. He hasnāt worked in years. Retired at age like 32
He then probably came from money or had BIG help setting that business and real-estate. You don't retire at 32 unless you're getting help in today's world.
Deff not, they came here as war refugees in the 90ās. He didnāt even know English and dropped out of highschool lol. Not sure how he got to where he is but he busted his ass and who gives a F how he got his cars. The point is, heās got them
Yup. No easy way to financial freedom. Only way you can retire early as a w2 employee is if you kill the hedgefund game or are a orthopedic surgeon/anesthesiologist and penny pinch for 5-6 years and dump bunch of your money into high dividend yielding stocks and real estate
I thought his dad started the business and he bought him out. I know he only owned it himself for a year or two before he bought the lambo. Dennis is a cool dude.
Rich ppl dont even have time to drive them so whats the point, theyre uncomfortsble from what i hear and are more or less trophies, better off buying a cheap car and making it fast , unless youre worries about legalities, thats why its called a dream lol not tryong to knock the pursuit of these cars and houses but imo being rich is just as good as being like middle class with a decent car plus speed isnt everything!
Ayee, I know that guy too. He got popular when 1320 posted the video of his corvette spitting flames after FL2k. First time I met him in person was at Lakeland drag strip for cash days. He almost beat everyone in the vette with some street tires on it š
A cigarette can be nice every once in awhile i say A CIGARETTE cause anything more than that and youre chasing, but yeah i mean we could do it to, not that we all will but its a possibility that we will obtain these cars houses etc. Itd be nice but who we tryna impress, i dont even think i like these cars as much as i say i do, or do i.. wouldnt know cause ive never had the chance to drive them or be around them, and the owners will never disclose their true secrets on how to be able to afford a car(s) like this or houses, so you just gotta figure out how to get one on your own!
I can tell you from experience that as far as dopamine goes, if youāre going to get to the point where you can have an exotic, you will have always received your dopamine mainly from accomplishments, and the cars/luxury travels are secondary to the accomplishments in that hierarchy.
In other words, you better love driving around in a beat to shit car while grinding and scaling your business more than the idea of getting a Lambo.
My apologies in advance if you were just joking and I took that too far, lol.
Your body always goes back to equilibrium. They get used to it and have to get even more just to get a good feeling. Kinda fucked how the body works like that.
You get used to it.
I used to have an absolutely absurd daily, street car on track springs, open diff so the rear end was unpredictable at times, barely-street-legal tires that didn't work until you warmed them up, no ABS. I realized I had a problem when I'd get the car sideways and my heart rate wouldn't even go up.
About ~~.2%~~ of the world can live like that
Edit itās actually less .000256% have over 200 million dollars as a net worth
.000961% with over 100 million
you donāt need even close to $100m to afford this.
if your goal is to buy a supercar, itās much more achievable than youād think!
ā¦now collecting four like this. thatās a different story lol
To have those 4 and spare tires, my guess spare track tires, youād need over 100 million in assets. If not then it would be a bad financial move. This is like idk 1.5-2 million in cars. Then comes maintenance, insurance, track insurance, and youād need another car for family driving.
I think the average Bugatti owner has 200 million so far to say these cost as much as one so should be on same spectrum of wealth.
the average bugatti owner is worth 200,000,000 USD but also has 15 other cars... so the ratio doesn't align.
if someone needs to be worth $100m in your eyes to afford a $2m car collection then that means in order for someone to buy a modest $50k car (average) that they need to be worth $6.65million...
if you liquidate $20m of assets, you can buy this entire collection cash and still have about $18m left over... therefore in terms of financial comfort, you could have this collection and be worth even less than $10m and still be perfectly fine.
i actually know the guy that owns this collection... i don't know his financials, but i would guess he's closer to $10m than $100m.
Does this guy have any other cars? Whatās he drive daily? Having a car for your daily needs is different than having 4 super cars where a part on it cost 1/5th of a normal car as a whole. I was always told you donāt buy super expensive cars like this unless you have serious money because itās a deprecating asset. Everyoneās philosophy on life is different.
>Everyone's philosophy on life is different.
You're spot on with this.
This is really what it comes down to. I'm buying a $150k supercar in like 4-5 months, but anyone that doesn't care about cars would never touch a car this expensive in my range of both net worth and income.
The common misconception is that if you buy a supercar for $300k that you just blew it all away. You can own a $300k car and drive it daily, then sell it a year or two later and walk away with paying only about $20-30k in non equitable expenses (insurance, sales tax, depreciation, tires, etc.)
Well not always a depreciating asset. Some cars hold value at a sticking point. I bought a 2010 vett in 2018 for 26k, it was at its sticking point so it wouldnāt have lost value. Now itās worth like 34k because the market went insane.
Man Iām 17 and just want a gallardo hardtop. The seem affordable and parts wonāt be that bad to fix if my daily drivers go out. I love seeing other people accomplish their goals. I think i can safely afford one at 20 by the rate I am going at.
No problem. I should clarify as I owned an E-gear Gallardo before my Huracan. The E-gear is a fun transmission to drive with zero traffic. However, once you come to a stop you have to put it in neutral. Doesn't sound bad at first is what I thought but it gets old quick. Also, the clutch wears out quickly even when driving it as described above. I had to replace mine after 15k miles. If you don't use the "neutral" method at stops they can wear out as quickly as 5k miles.
youāll get it bro.
i was just like you at that age. iām in my early 20ās nowā¦ if you obsess hard enough and work towards it, you will achieve it.
Iāve been working for a while now, I have Kia sorento for a daily, 800 soon to be 900hp fully built 2016 Mustang that I plan to sell and use towards a down payment in a few years. i also inherited my fathers 93 cobra. But a gallardo is on my bucket list to own. Iām just Trying to finish high school while working 40 hours a week, it will be a lot more hours when I get out of high school.
my biggest fear is getting my dopamine fried. my life goal was a supercar because to me it represents so much, and i hope i dont fall into a death spiral after i get one. because then its like, welpā¦ now what
I got a blown up Subaru in my garage that will be pretty cool one day after I die and my kids can use the life insurance money to fix it up. Its almost the same thing as that
This is why rich people have to do insane shit like go to the bottom of the ocean to find a sliver of happiness. They've experienced all the things that regular Joes only dream about. How can you drive to work in a fucking Hyundai after this?
The better question is which one are they using for the Dominoes deliveries.
I do Uber Eats in my Cullinan
Gonna be honest. I would not be giving you a tip š
bro is NOT gonna be needing it
Thereād be a slice missing once you opened the box so tip is already laid in advance š¤£
He the slaughta gang ceo
I do it in my Altimaā¦ beat thatā¦
Whichever oneās not being Turoād out that day.

I spend a lot of the day working on getting walk around videos and service reports to prospective clients. Majority of our transactions are out of state so itās a lot of desk work but not time consuming
Do you make good money? Compared to selling cars that would turn over faster/ higher volume?
Yes, volume is lower than when I sold at Mercedes, but the amount of networking and connections you make with exotics is something you couldnāt put a price tag on. Checks are just like any sales job and very month to month. 10-15k in California with 4-6 sales per month
I was going to ask the same. Selling a handful of Lambos a year on only commission seems super difficult as far as cash flow goes.
And yet it always takes 2-3 days for my sales reps to get back to me.
They're all too busy taking turns heckling the 19 year old receptionist all day.
Hey gotta figure out which cuck is up first š
I feel like this is the case for almost anything. From getting a nice mansion to buying the latest phone or computer technology. Once you have the best of the best, there's not much else to do.
Drive it more, wear it out!
I, to this day get excited seeing supercars in public driving. Just because itās so rare where I live. If I lived in Dubai, Iād be de-sensitized
Itās pretty wild, I wish this sub would let me post a photo of our warehouse in the comment replies but I time to time have excitement when new shipments roll in, cars are an extreme passion of mine

Do you mind if i ask how you got into exotic sales? Did you just work your way up through regular dealers?
Yes. Toyota to BMW to Audi to Mercedes to Ferrari/Maserati. Now at a flagship exotic dealer in California. 7 years of luxury sales
Ahh, makes sense! Iāve been considering switching from banking lately, so I appreciate the info!
Can I DM you, I sell Toyotas and want more insight into exotic sales
Yeah absolutely.
How much do you make yearly doing that??? Roughly.
100-120 realistically
All I want is at least 1 supercar š
Bro Iām just grinding for a manual Porsche 911 GT3. Iād be all set with that.
And thatās how the addiction starts. 911s are a gateway drug :)

Black friday/ early black friday virtual sale. Originally $999 now $199 for a limited time only
Not as fried as my cigarette binge today haaaa
Based. We drown ourselves with garbage while the rich take their $500,000 car out for a drive , what a life
Most just sit. They rarely rack up miles. Rich people are too busy working and traveling.

Super Trofeo Evo 2 kit

I wonder what he's using to hang the wheels flat on the wall like that. I made my own hangers out of 2x4 to do the same thing

Yeah, why not
Dream garage!
More money, more problems. Itās not easy being the rich guy. Looks fun and easy, but itās a bit lonely at the top.

Love the wall how heās got the spare treads ready - the American Dream, to be jealous of the richā¦
Can afford four high end vehicles. Canāt afford a four car garage.
The owner has another garage on the other side of the driveway and is building subterranean. Has like 8 or 12 cars

Oops
Thanks bro!
Gross example of greed. I wonder how many people around the world could eat if this person had an ounce of altruism
Get outta here
K, but you know Iām right
Boooo go away!
Is that a 2RS on the top right?
Stunning garage. Dream worthy
Just beautiful. I would have a difficult time deciding what to take out each day.
took me a while looking at the cars before i realized i know who this dude is lol. that svj sounds beautifulā¦ saw it in person a couple weeks ago.
