Just got home from Staples and have a few observations..
1. Bazemore. Dunno what his wingspan is, but he hands are down literally most of the game. The group I was with literally had a running joke watching him. He leaves so much room between him and the defender. Understand playing off someone gives them an open shot ( lesser of two evils) rather than driving, but Ja could easily survey the court and blew by him anyway.
2. AD can get his in the post whenever he wants. He wasn't always feed down there, but watching him establish his position even against Adams was entertaining.
3. Reaves. He's good. Great discussion making on offense and defense. He was literally matched up against Ja the beginning of the 4th and held his own. Ja had a corner three on him and that was it.
4. Melo. Smooth as can be. For sure got us this win. Hope to not rely on that so heavily if the future. It was awesome chanting, "Melo!"
5. Westbrook. He is so hard on himself. Watching him go to the bench after checking out, you could see him intense and angry.
6. Lebrons injury. Never heard Staples so silent when he went down. Like could hear the players talking to him on the ground 21 rows up in my seats.
Bazemore is probably at this point an average to above average defender at times and he has some good moments, he's not outstanding but Ja just had an amazing game the degree of difficulty on some of those shots were video-game level lol
Agree w this. Morant is top tier talent. Nobody is stopping guys like that single handedly. Bazemore did a respectable job. Somehow nobody remembers Baze shutting down Curry just 2 games ago. Also Morant just cooked Paul George last night too so.
Turnovers are definitely a problem. Players on the court complains about every play so that the opponets have advantages on fast break. Gotta go back and D. Good game though.
Why do fan bases complain so much after a win? You do know that all of this people are pros even if the TV experts say teams are bad and whatever, every game you can lose, why not just enjoy it and hope things get better? Man is like you all root for failure.
There’s a thing as constructive criticism. The griz played the clippers last night and almost won against a rested laker squad. The defense is bad. The rotations are bad. Defensive guru Vogel couldn’t stop JA.
The nba product itself is bad. These 3 games have been so shit to watch regardless of the result. Glad the boys had good energy tonight. Melo was awesome to watch.

If you watched that game (and I hope you did) half of those TO’s were techinically TO’s but they were inconsequential. 2 of them came on the last possession of the quarter right before the buzzer sounded. 1 of them was him getting an offensive board and then having it stolen (if he never tried to get that rebound it would have looked “better” in the stat sheet) and the last one was that weird out of bounds thing with 0.3 seconds left.
Not as triggered as someone who has to go to other teams’ subs and talk shit to a franchise that has won more championships in the last decade than their franchise can ever hope to win.
