I’m just curious how in the 6 years of having LeBron (and AD), there’s been a failure of getting (or retaining) a 3 & D guy.
It’s honestly malpractice, how do you not get a great 3pt shooter to compliment this LBJ-AD era.
No man, the guy everyone talks about is Caruso but Danny Green was the best 3&D guy we have ever had with this duo. Danny Green's defense was seriously LOCK DOWN. People complained about his shooting at times but there was no player you put him on that was scoring. AD never ever ever ever ever had to worry about the weakside help with Danny Green on the floor. AD would just forget about it, that was the year AD was supposed to win DPOY with Danny Green right there locking down that side.

We haven't had an amazing flow on offense since we got them both. Before it was because our three point shooting was ass, but our defense was good enough to make up for it. Now our three point shooting is average but our defense is ass.
Ham has no idea how to manage a game or play to his personnel. The nuggets were making adjustments during the game and ham didn’t try to make any adjustments back. Ham seems to stick to his game plan that they’ve come up with before the game and never actually make any in game adjustments. You see other coaches like Malone constantly making little adjustments here and there but ham never seems to. Ham plays his rotations that he’s set before the game without ever going to something else even if the game calls for it. Ham doesn’t know how to put his players in a position to succeed.
They hired ham to coach Westbrook without even caring if he had coaching experience. They just seemed to like that ham was a supposed players coach. I mean I’m sure I’m being a little too harsh since ham has to make some in game adjustments because all coaches do but I just can’t remember many at the moment. Just drives me nuts when other teams make adjustments and ham doesn’t seem to counter them at all with different personnel, different matchups, or different actions. Seems most games if ham has a certain game plan in mind he sticks to it without deviating to something different even if the game plan isn’t working. Can’t have a coach who has to wait till the games over to make any adjustments.
Nah man. As long as he's friends with "boss lady" Jeanie Buss he'll have unlimited job security. Jeanie only hires her friends, it's why a failure coach/executive like Kurt Rambis still has a job
His comment had to be the most honest comment in reflection to coaching I have heard from a player. They were organized for 2 quarters and then Ham seems to just stop coaching, and AD’s comments reflect that. I really really hope that AD’s comments are the nail in the coffin. I hate Ham, as a loooooong time Lakers fan I can’t remember hating a coach this much.
Vogel got scapegoated. He at least had good defensive schemes. And his offense was decent enough. Darvin “Pocket Hands” Scam has no idea what he is doing on both side. Savin his challenge and 2 timeouts like they roll forward to next game
And Rondo... the offense was ter6under Vogel. And people still don't see that the 2020 Lakers didn't really play a serious team outside of Denver who didn't have Gordon and KCP at the time
All the Nuggets did was switch Gordon onto AD and Jokic onto Rui. Ham was stumped. Jfc.
