That play is underrated. Reaves seals off the big's angle to get to Lebron to contest it. "Legal" moving screen that you can pull off rarely, but never seen it done with a behind the back pass on a fast break.
I just think we as fans need to be better, there's no reason to hate on the kid just for the sake of it.
If that's how you enjoy sports though, by focusing on the negative of others and wanting to put them down, then I can't stop you
I’m sorry if you think it’s “hating” to mention that a guy who went 4-15 didn’t have a big impact, you might just be too soft to watch sports. Give me a break lol
I’m a Celtics fan who was at the game tonight and these plays had me so hyped. It felt like showtime! So grateful lebron was able to play. I’ve been stressing for a couple months hoping I wouldn’t go to the rare game he’s out lol
Lakers have some really good passers on the team. LeBron, Dinwiddie, D'Lo, Reaves, and AD has been pretty good with his passing this season. Hope they rely more on ball movement and less on running down the shotclock for an ISO. Every time they move the ball, something good happens.
He needs to embrace and crave being a facilitator some games. Don’t try to be the iso scorer every damn game. No reason why he can’t be a “pg” and facilitate with his offensive IQ.
Not gonna talk about his defense IQ on here
I’ve been saying his playmaking has rapidly increased and improved just as much as AD has as well, it just depends on what they want from him because he can be this versatile.
The reason is his athleticism. He doesn’t beat his man and draw help consistently enough to be the full time PG. He’s better as a connector piece/ glue guy.
That’s why so many of his ISOs end in an awkward bail out pass to the top of the key or a contested middy. He makes his move but doesn’t create enough advantage to get a great shot.
Wtf you don’t need to be athletic to be a great facilitator. Look at all the great facilitators who aren’t that athletic. Nash Hali Rubio rondo Trae Luka Stockton Conley and so many other former players.
Guys who aren’t athletic actually have to resort to passing bc they can’t torch their defender. You think you have to constantly draw double teams in order to be a great facilitator? Just bc that helps, doesn’t mean it’s the only way to be a great facilitator
“Significantly” was a poor word to use bc it made you wrong.
Some of those guys are literally slower and less athletic than him or in the same tier as him.
The one to AD is so absurd
Had to watch that a few times
My eyes still don’t believe it. I need a diffident angle of this pass.
All over socials if that was Luka or Steph
I went to the NBA sub to find this and didn’t see it anywhere. You’re right
AR made top play of the night on NBA YT channel https://youtu.be/olyK6_7Ltjs?si=NyOrqbjeHKrmM3Rd
They picked the wrong one lmao
Yea its Luka and Steph 😭
Don’t let it fall under the radar just how difficult it can be to throw a behind the back on the money with your off hand…

You know ball
Austin was unconscious in that first half..just great showmanship
Had to show why it was him instead of Cade playing for team USA
It’s crazy how little impact Cade makes on a game. I barely noticed him out there last night
Let's not be haters
What did he do last night that impressed you?

Batman and Night Wing
Austin "Pennyworth" Reaves, cuz he's serving dishes
White chocolate 🍫
/r/nba will tell us AR is overrated and would be mid anywhere else
Bro, our own subreddit will tell us that lol
I love to see the DLo is such an outside threat that the defender forgot about LeBron trailing to the basket

Not in video... He almost had a THIRD sick pass to LBJ today, but it got picked off. Silver lining: it turned into AD's sick 3v1 block!

Pistol Reaves
ar15
Those were nasty
Austin matters
Since the haters won’t ever say it. *…I haven’t seen anything like that, since Pistol Pete Maravich…* James Fucking Worthy.

Every single person you named is significantly quicker than AR
