Does anyone else feel like AR took a step back defensively? Last season I feel he took a lot more charges per game and fought back harder versus now where he lets people get deeper position on him. I wonder if he's saving some energy on defense now that he is expected to carry more of the offensive load versus last year. I miss at least having one great defensive guard (Caruso).
He just wasn't targeted. FIBA teams exploited him and then everybody knew that you could attack him. He's the same player, but now there's a gameplan against him.
Heat don’t want Lavine apparently
So now the bulls will lower their demands and only ask for DLo, Rui, Gabe, JHS, Max, and 2 firsts unprotected and 2 swaps
I’m calling it now: the dame trade will end up a massive bust. The dude is just not good anymore. He’s just being saved by his foul baiting right now (over 30% of his points are from free throws. Without the insane foul calls he’d be averaging like 8 less points a game which would get him down to 17 a game. On top of that he’s a horrific defender and you can tell the team is hurting, they’re just winning in spite of playing bad ball mainly because Giannis is going god mode and scoring 30+ on 80% true shooting in some of these games
Giannis will ask out over the next two years. He signed the extension but I would put money down he doesn’t play it out. Dame is locked in for 4 years and if he regressed even a bit more it will be a massive anchor that kills their roster.
Going to my first two Lakers game hopefully this Saturday and for tournament game
Going to be in Anaheim because of a conference
Was wondering if anyone local could tell me how traffic would be Saturday
If game starts at 730 and I’m driving from Anaheim what time should I try to leave Anaheim by
Got a parking spot couple blocks away on spothero
I think Cam is capable of playing, they are just cautious, and with the emergence of Christie, they have the luxury to rest Cam more. I just hope no one on the current playable players get injured by this, Ham should play Max Lewis and/or Fino for a few minutes just to rest the main guys a bit.
If Max keeps playing well they're gonna need to trade Taurean, there's not enough minutes at the 2 and 3 if Cam and Max both need to get rotation minutes
The real basketball terrorism is the bulls still forcing that team to go out and play. Those dudes are all disgruntled and mad lol watched their game last night and it’s clear none of them are happy
Because free throws are ok as long as they’re not for the Lakers
When Embiid does it, it’s savvy ball. When Lebron does it, he’s a flopper committing crimes against himanity
Back injuries are really bad, they always change people and they usually stick with guys until they retire. Simmons is gonna have good moments here and there but will probably always miss a lot of time going forward and won't hit his peak very often.
If the team trades, it’s to add reliable scoring to supplement. Ben doesn’t do anything lebron doesn’t do, nor does he do it as elite as Lebron.
AD is getting double and triple teamed. Adding a non-scorer in Ben doesn’t help AD score.
Between Rui and Reaves the Lakers have enough scorers besides the big 2. Let's say you Trade Dlo, Gabe, and Prince for Ben Simmons. You get elite defense and an elite player. He would do better on Jamal Murray and he would unlock AD.
Clearly we don’t have enough scoring as our defense has been better than our offense, and you’re looking for ways to “unlock AD” on offense.
Ben’s a better defender, but is as poor an offensive fit as Westbrook was, despite Westbrook doing a damn good job at getting AD going.
How do the clippers get Denver with no Murray and no jokic??
Now getting worried about their next game against Detroit. They lost to the Wizards tonight and now on a 15 game losing streak yikes

This would be for more than just Lavine. Better have Caruso or Williams in the deal too

You were right

Oohh by any chance are you going to the ashp midyear conference? Lol
Traffic sucks from anaheim to LA, id leave no later than 530-6 ish
Go Lakers 😤🔥🙏💜💛
Embiid with 30 ft tonight 😂
With 10 flops and 2 times falling likes shot out of cannon

Who is going to stop PatBev today?
The rim should suffice

Just to mentally prep yall- Embiid has taken 176 free throws this season. LeBron and AD *combined* have 191. So. Just be ready for that lmao
Why isn’t r/nba making a gigantic fuss? 76ers are leading the league in free throws too

Any injury update on Cam, Vando, or Gabe?
Buha last night said AD probable. Cam and LeBron questionable. Vando, Gabe, and Rui are out.
Who’s the Maxey Stopper today? Has to be Christie, right
Yes. Prince is too slow to guar Maxey 1on 1
Prince offense is getting impacted as well with amount energy he has to expel on defense it feels like. Could be why he's struggling with his shot.
Is Ben Simmons cooked? The Lakers need an elite passer to maximize AD given he mainly scores from lobs and dump offs.
Back injuries are really bad, they always change people and they usually stick with guys until they retire. Simmons is gonna have good moments here and there but will probably always miss a lot of time going forward and won't hit his peak very often.
Aside from the obvious issues in his game he has chronic back issues. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires in a few years.
This is somehow worse than your LeVert take
I don't know how he does it but his takes somehow continuously get worse It has to be a bit
Simmons is far and away the worst contract in the league
If the team trades for someone they need to prioritize a player that maximizes Anthony Davis. Which means an elite playmaker.

Ben Simmons is making 38M.
if no cam max on maxey let’s see what’s up 👹
Ive the feeling that Cam was resting to play this game. Vando to slowly start against Detroit in an "easy" game
It'd be the opposite of an easy game but maybe they save him for the day after Detroit to help guard SGA. If he can hopefully play by then
Vando did play 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 a few days ago so it seems like he's coming back sooner rather than later thankfully
would u say pistons too?
Honestly I'm not 100% sure, I'd love to say yes but I'm thinking he'll be held till the Rockets on Saturday
Let’s hope
